Chapter 2 - TOWER OF THE WORLD

Please remember that this is a completely amateur series.

LAYER 1: WATER

Passing past the priests and ignoring all warnings, the mortal brutally cuts through and kills the guards. He enters, leaving the village in terror. In the inside, this first layer contains rooms with blue walls and watery areas. The priests are everywhere. The mortal rips and tears anyone who tries to stop him. There are chests in the rooms, but mostly food supplies and sake. In one of the rooms is another priest, but he looks more like a homeless man in priest's attire. Looking at the mortal, the man coughs and falls to the ground, saying, "Finally, the time has come, my Lord! Save us! Destroy this place!" The mortal doesn't care and continues. Beyond the rooms is a winding path. He crosses the path and enters a hall. In the middle of the hall is a large fountain, and behind it is a staircase leading to the second floor... The mortal looks around and comes to the fountain. A half-naked female statue is carved into the fountain. Suddenly, the fountain cracks, collapses, and the rising dust and smoke give way to a stunningly beautiful, half-naked woman in a blue dress. "Please...! Please stop this savagery, mortal!" the woman cries in a soft, tearful voice. The mortal doesn't back down; on the contrary, he grabs his cleaver and lunges forward, but is pushed back against a wall by a geyser that appears out of nowhere. Although saddened and weeping, the woman reluctantly pushes the mortal away. A strange aura begins to emanate from the weary mortal, and his movements quicken. In the blink of an eye, he gets behind the woman and plunges his cleaver into her. Raising the cleaver, he splits her in two. The woman's last words are, "Could it be...?" The somehow exhausted mortal sees a shining blue stone on the ground. A strange force pulls the mortal towards the stone, and he picks it up. He doesn't see, doesn't think. All he knows is blood. The mortal continues on his way. (...)

LAYER 2: FIRE

The second layer, complete opposite to the first, is a layer with orange walls, burning and obscured by smoke. Which is the first time he thinks for a moment, the mortal chooses to stay close to the wall because he can't see. He proceeds and finds a room with a door to the right of his gaze. Again, there's a chest, but this time it contains animal meat. The mortal enters through the door and finds three more rooms. Finally, he reaches the middle of two rooms and moves towards the center. He bumps into something metallic, and the smoke completely disappears. He lifts his head and sees a humanoid machine in the middle of the room; a machine with a body that tapers towards its head, bearing ancient inscriptions, with independent hands and a checkered face. This time, he wants to cut the machine directly, but the machine sends the mortal flying with flames spewing from its eyes. With a mocking voice, the machine says, "How foolish you mortals are! I'm so happy I can finally kill you!" The mortal doesn't bother talking. He leaps and is spewed away. Seizing the opportunity while the machine praises itself, manages to cuts it's hands in one move. He is exhausted. Thinking the job is done, the mortal wants to make the final move. The machine, spewing flames from its eyes, says, "You thought I can't live without my arms, you foolish mortal! I let you cut my arms! Myself!" The mortal, with a swift maneuver, uses his cleaver as cover. The cleaver is heated up but he realizes he doesn't have much time left because the cleaver is going to melt. Risking his life, he cuts through the flame with his cleaver, splitting the machine in two. The machine's last words are, "Are you...?" The mortal's entire skin is covered in burns and he is unrecognizable. He sees an orange stone that has fallen from the machine, picks it up, and goes up to the next floor. (...)

LAYER 3: EARTH

The third layer, unlike the first, is a completely arid, small desert with no rooms and surrounded by columns. At its center is a monument-like structure, and inside is a large chest. He prepares his sword and carefully approaches the chest, opening it. Inside are explosives, gunpowder, etc. The mortal acts quickly and manages to grab one explosive, but as he reaches for the second, the chest explodes. The mortal is thrown backward, hitting a wall; his right arm becomes unusable. A creature resembling an armadillo and a turtle, with brown tones of color, emerges from the ground. In a deep but blunt voice, he says, "I was waiting for you, mortal. As the price for finishing off the other two, unfortunately, I have to finish you off." The mortal gets up, and the fight begins. With each sword swing, the creature turns his back and blocks it with his shell. The mortal tries to use his brain, to think, attempting various tactics like turning the shell to strike from behind, but fails. Then he sees one of the columns in the room fall and realizes he can use them. He weakens the columns by stepping in front of them and then pulling back just as he's about to strike. But with one, the creature hits the mortal, grabs him, and begins to pull him in half. The mortal, in a desperate attempt to save himself, throws the explosive bomb in his hand and misses. "You even missed an old man like me, how shameful..." says the creature. The mortal replies, "You think so, old man." and a column falls on the creature's head. The mortal picks up his cleaver from the ground and hurls it swiftly at the creature's belly. The mortal lunges forward, applies pressure to the sword, and pierces its shell. The creature's last words are, "I knew it..." The mortal picks up his cleaver and the brown stone that fell from this creature and goes up to the next floor. (...)

LAYER 4: WIND

The fourth floor is a labyrinth with walls of a darker blue and strong winds. After a long journey through the labyrinth, filled with disappearances, the mortal arrives at the hall, sees nothing, and hears a thin male voice. "Hey, mortal! Look up, look up! Who am I talking to?!" shouts the owner of the floor. The mortal looks up and sees a man, dark blue, transparent, completely naked. He's dozing while flying. The man descends and says, "I don't know how you handled everyone beneath this quick but... I'll warn you, I am no near like them. I'll end it quickly..." and begins to attack. Strong winds blow. The man laughs, creating whirlwinds, striking the mortal from side to side. The mortal falls to his knees, breathless, but doesn't drop his cleaver. It's still in his hand. "That's enough. I love playing with mortals, but enough." says the man. He pins the mortal to the wall with the wind and begins to crush his muscles. The mortal points his cleaver at the man and straightens it. He slowly begins to walk towards him. He feels something burning inside... Something that won't let him lose... Won't let him die... Just then, his speed from the first floor returns, and he passes right through the man. The man's last words are, "You were no ordinary... You...!" Covered in blood, the mortal picks up the dark blue stone that fell from the man and pauses to catch his breath before ascending to the final floor. On the final floor, he is confronted by a power he never expected. (...)

LAYER 5: ELECTRICITY

The fifth layer, unlike the other layers, has no ceiling and is more like a rooftop. It consists only of a hall. A winged knight stands in the middle of the hall. "Mortal... You will pay for the deeds you done dirt!" he says in an echoing, deep voice. The knight initiates the battle. This angelic knight, with two swords, transparent wings, and wearing a crusader armor, is very powerful. So powerful that a single sword stroke is enough to bring down the mortal. Blood flows everywhere. Lightning flashes in the air, piercing the ears. "Poor creature! You are so pathetic that you dare to defy me in copper armor!" says the knight. These words activate the mortal's mind. The mortal rises, waits patiently. He takes off his clothes and runs towards the knight with his cleaver. The knight uses thunderbolts on him but he throws his cleaver to the air, distracting the bolts. He jumps onto the knight and grabs his face with his remaining hand. "I am Electricity!" shouts the knight. Breaking the helm of the knight, the mortal rips the knight's face off. The rain intensifies, and the knight's yellow light goes out. The mortal, until his energy is depleted, furiously smashes the knight's head into pieces with both of his hands... He picks up the stone and finds himself on the ground. Grabbing his cleaver, he sees a silhouette. A grey, sturdy body, a damaged skeletal mask, grey, beautifully crafted armor. "I've come to get you. Come, let's go." says a deep, terrifying voice. It lifts Mortal to his feet and embraces him. Mortal says something at that moment... "Never let your guard down..." Before the silhouette can understand what's happening, he sees the mortal's sword in his chest and the stone outside his body. Then he hears the voice of a giant, blue, cloaked figure wearing something resembling a crown. "Kira!" shouts the figure; an angry, loud, deep voice. "Mortal! You will pay for your sins!" he continues. He creates a huge, blue-white ball of light and prepares to throw it at the mortal. At that moment, the stones the mortal has collected emerges from his inventory, forming a pentagon, merging and transforming into a blood-red stone. This stone enters the mortal's chest. Seeing this, the giant, horrified, takes the grey man and his stone and vanishes. The mortal is now wearing a red-white armor and carrying a cleaver of same colours. His skin is the color of burns, his hair long, red, eyes are crimson. He stands up, "I'm no longer exhausted... Nor feeling pain... What am I, originally...?" tells to himself before setting off to find the purple demon. (...)
