LAYER 15: REALITY
A three-meter-tall, smooth-skinned man with no head and a hole in his chest stands on the castle walls. "Garu!!" he says. "You died too soon. Rest in peace." he says, looking at Felix. "Now. Let's see what's here." he says. He aligns his hands in the empty space in his chest, forming a sphere. "Do you have a last word, Felix?" the man asks, aiming at Felix. "Even though I am not loved, I always respect my opponent." Felix's last words, as he rises, are "I am too tired..." A large, transparent sphere forms around Felix. Luna and Jamz leap away from Felix. The sphere shrinks, shrinks... until it disappears from sight. Jamz swings his cleaver, but it's too late. Jamz and Luna stand there, in shock. The Tes of Nothingness falls to the ground. Luna collapses and begins to scream to her hands. Jamz regains consciousness and his eyes fix on Zars' man. "Luna! Pull yourself together! You need to stand tall! I can't defeat him without you! Get up and stand tall for your fallen friends! BECAUSE THAT'S HOW THEY WOULD DO!" he motivates Luna. Luna gets up and salutes the Tes of Nothingness. "Where I come from... That's how they show respect to the dead..." she says in a broken tone. "Jamz... Thank you for your efforts... You really make me feel valued..." she continues. Zars' man descends and says, "Magnificent! I'm impressed, The Lord of Blood. 'That's how they would do it!' huh? I'm touched... I'd like to know your name. I'm Vahura." Jamz also says his name, nervously. "That bastard Zars must know... After stealing everything from me, I wish he would try to steal my life too. Just like he did to my family..." he continues. "Actually, we're all Evor..." says Vahura. "We Korts are the corpses of Evors brought here by the minions Zars sent to Evoren. Every Kort here is actually an Evor killed in Evoren. We share the same blood, Jamz. My Tes is Shape. I can say I control Shapes. I give Shapes specific functions and attack with them." LAYER 16: STORY
The battle begins. Vahura is quite comfortable fighting Jamz and Luna. Luna teleports Jamz from right to left with her portals, Jamz swings his cleaver but constantly misses. "I haven't even used my power yet, you realize that, right?" says Vahura. "Let's... fire this up a bit!" he says, sending Jamz to the ground with a single punch. Jamz gets up and says, "Luna... Thinking there's no limit to her portals, I want you to go back to Werteron and call for reinforcements. We might not win like this... Even one person would be enough. Luna now completely trusts Jamz. But the fear of losing him is eating her up. "What are you waiting for!? Go! You might be our last resort, Luna!" Jamz shouts. Luna turns around, opens the portal, and says, "Don't die! At least not until I get back..." and enters the portal, which then closes. "We're alone, Jamz. I'm really curious what you're planning..." Vahura says. Jamz replies, "Let me remind you, Vahura. This is where Felix died..." Vahura stops on his tracks and remembers the Tes of Nothingness. Jamz absorbs the Tes of Nothingness on the ground and says to himself, "Watch me, Furoy! Look at me in awe as I do something I wasn't taught! I remember... That book... It wasn't just a children's book! I'm not sure how it happened or what you did, but that book... It was a messenger! Even this moment was already on paper. Absorbation! Unlike other tricks, it's shaped by grudge. A talent born from gluttony... And the higher your kin, the greater the energy you can absorb... That's what I'm going to do! And I'm going to defeat you..." he says, collapsing to the ground. He begins to lose his mind... "I'll tell you something, Jamz. A story Zars told..." Vahura says and begins to tell. (...)
