Chapter 23 - The Alpha’s Warning

The night was quiet when Jayden, Kayden, and Ariana returned to the mansion.

Ariana was still thinking about everything that had happened.

Werewolves. Pack laws. Elders.

It all felt unreal.

As she stepped inside the mansion, she let out a deep sigh.

"I can't believe this is my life now," she muttered.

Kayden laughed lightly.

"Trust me, it gets crazier."

Jayden ignored the conversation and walked straight toward the living room.

But suddenly—

A strange scent filled the air.

Jayden stopped immediately.

His wolf instincts became alert.

Someone was inside the house.

"Stay behind me," Jayden said suddenly.

Ariana frowned.

"What's wrong?"

Kayden's playful expression disappeared.

"Oh… looks like we have guests."

Before Ariana could ask anything else—

A shadow moved from the dark hallway.

A tall man stepped forward.

He was one of the pack warriors, but his eyes were filled with anger.

"So the rumors are true," the man said coldly.

"You really brought a human into our territory."

Ariana took a step back nervously.

Jayden's voice turned dangerously calm.

"Leave."

The warrior ignored him.

"This is against pack law," he said.

"She's a threat to all of us."

Before anyone could react—

The warrior suddenly lunged toward Ariana.

Everything happened in a second.

Jayden moved faster.

He grabbed the warrior's collar and slammed him against the wall.

The entire house shook slightly from the force.

Jayden's eyes turned bright blue.

His Alpha aura filled the room.

"Touch her again," Jayden said in a cold voice,

"and I will personally throw you out of this pack."

The warrior froze.

Even Kayden raised his eyebrows slightly.

It was rare to see Jayden this angry.

The warrior quickly lowered his head.

"I apologize, Alpha."

Jayden released him.

"Get out."

The warrior left immediately.

Silence filled the room again.

Ariana stared at Jayden in shock.

"You didn't have to do that," she said softly.

Jayden looked away.

"Yes, I did."

Because deep inside, his wolf had already made a decision.

No matter what the pack said…

He would protect Ariana.

Even if it meant starting a war inside his own pack.
