The next morning, Ariana woke up earlier than usual.
The events of the previous night kept replaying in her mind.
The angry pack warrior…
Jayden protecting her…
And the strange world she had accidentally entered.
She sighed and got ready for work.
But when she stepped outside the mansion, she noticed something unusual.
Kayden was standing near the garden gate, waiting.
He smiled when he saw her.
"Morning, maid girl."
Ariana rolled her eyes.
"Do you ever stop teasing people?"
Kayden chuckled.
"Nope."
He gestured toward the forest path.
"Come with me."
Ariana frowned.
"Where?"
"You'll see."
After a few minutes of walking, they reached a large open area deep inside the forest.
Several wolves were running and fighting in their human forms.
Ariana's eyes widened.
"What is this place?"
Kayden spread his arms.
"Welcome to the pack training ground."
Ariana watched as two wolves practiced combat skills.
"Why did you bring me here?" she asked.
Kayden looked at her carefully.
"Because something about you doesn't make sense."
Ariana crossed her arms.
"What do you mean?"
Kayden picked up a wooden training stick and threw it toward her.
"Catch."
Ariana reacted instantly and caught it perfectly.
Kayden smirked.
"See?"
Ariana frowned.
"That's normal."
Kayden shook his head.
"No. Most humans would miss that."
He stepped closer.
"And yesterday… when that warrior attacked you… you moved faster than a normal human."
Ariana felt nervous.
"I don't know what you're talking about."
Kayden looked thoughtful.
"Maybe you really don't."
But deep down, Kayden had a feeling.
Ariana might be hiding something.
Or maybe…
She was something even more dangerous than a human.
