Chapter 26 - The Ancient Bloodline

The entire training ground had gone silent.

The pack warriors stared at Ariana in disbelief.

The large warrior she had flipped was still lying on the ground, looking completely shocked.

Kayden folded his arms and laughed.

"Well… that was impressive."

Ariana looked around nervously.

"I didn't mean to do that."

Jayden walked closer, his eyes focused on her.

"How did you do that?" he asked quietly.

Ariana shook her head.

"I don't know. He was about to crash into me, so I just reacted."

The warriors started whispering among themselves.

"No human can do that."

"That strength…"

"It felt like wolf power."

Before anyone could say more, an older voice interrupted them.

"Enough."

Everyone turned around.

Three pack elders had arrived at the training ground.

Their sharp eyes immediately landed on Ariana.

"So this is the human girl," one elder said slowly.

Jayden stepped forward.

"She's under my protection."

The elder nodded slightly but continued observing Ariana carefully.

"Come here, child."

Ariana hesitated but walked closer.

The elder suddenly grabbed her wrist.

A strange expression appeared on his face.

"This scent…"

Kayden raised an eyebrow.

"What about it?"

The elder looked at Jayden.

"This girl may not be human."

Everyone froze.

"What?" Ariana said in shock.

The elder continued.

"I have only sensed this type of energy once before."

Jayden's voice became serious.

"What are you saying?"

The elder looked directly at Ariana.

"She may belong to an ancient bloodline."

Ariana's heart started racing.

"I don't understand."

Just then—

A loud explosion echoed from the forest.

Everyone turned toward the sound.

One of the pack warriors ran toward them, breathing heavily.

"Alpha!"

Jayden's expression hardened.

"What happened?"

The warrior spoke quickly.

"The hunters… they've returned."

The elders' faces turned serious.

Because this time…

The hunters had come with far stronger weapons.

And they were heading straight toward the pack territory.
