Chapter 1 - New Genesis

In the beginning, there was nothing.

But then, there was something.

An enormous bowl shaped structure appeared in a vast expanse of space. It is unknown of how the bowl came, or what it was made of. The inquiring mind yearning for these answers is completely understandable; alas, it is inexplicable. Contained within the metaphysical walls of the fathomless bowl, there was a primordial soup. This primordial soup would spawn two souls. One soul to the power of creation, one soul to the power of destruction, both souls ascending to the highest magnitudes of power. Elder Croutionious, the very quintessence of creation, created the rest of the Soupyverse. Lord Seasonox, the manifestation of destruction, kept it in check. All the while, the primordial soup processed souls. All souls are created in the primordial soup. When they are finished with their mortal time, they are cleansed and repurposed back in the primordial soup. Souls have levels of consciousness. The least powerful souls are not conscious. The power of a soul and its level of consciousness are increasingly proportionate, except for one curious fact: the most powerful souls are that of the creator and destroyer, and they have no consciousness.

They go by many names. Elder Croutonious, you will hear most often. Lord Seasonox, the name of the destroyer. They are the soupreme masters of the Soupyverse.

Croutonious, the creator, makes everything from the galaxies down to the continents. His only purpose is to create. Nothing else. Seasonox, the destroyer, devours all with his indomitable jaw and bottomless belly. His only purpose is to destroy. Nothing else. Create. Destroy. Over and over again. Forever. They have no choice in their job. They were created to serve this purpose, they were designed and designated for solely this purpose, and they carry out this duty without question. Perhaps the most notable feature of these omnipotent beings is that they are not even sentient. Because they have no reason to be. What part of their job description requires them to think and act for themselves? None of it. All souls are created with at least some level of consciousness. These souls lost theirs. They do not think of the implications their actions cause. They do not think of the morality of their deeds. They are capable of reason. If it contributes to their goal, they consider it, and they will do it. If it does not, they will not do it. What are their goals? To create everything. To fill the Soupyverse to its absolute limit and beyond that still with creations. To destroy everything. To revert the Soupverse to its original state and still into a vacuum. They are not good or bad. They exist. And that is all.

From the creation, Croutonious and Seasonox have been in perpetual battle. Cycles of Croutonious creating too much, then Seasonox destroying too much. These cycles are known as battle cycles. When one deity gets the upper hand, the other must neutralize it. The balance is absolutely necessary to the Soupyverse. If the balance is disturbed too much, for too long, the entire universe will be wiped by the Grand Dishwasher.

The Primordial Soup will remain, and everything will restart.

Even the Creator and the Destroyer. During the very first battle cycle, the first mortals watched the rivalry ensue. They perceived Seasonox to be evil of some sort, as it was trying to destroy the planet on which these mortals lived on. Seeing the form Seasonox had taken during this skirmish, and knowing what he was about to do, they used their crude primitive language to name Seasonox the 'Bloodthirsty Omnipotent Behemoth'. This name then became shortened to BOB, and then Bob, later on. The planet on which these creatures lived on was obliterated shortly after, with the creatures being annihilated first, then the pitiful rock after. But even though the creatures were gone, the name had traveled far and wide by then, and it stuck. Because it is so much easier and shorter than Seasonox, this will be the name the rest of the Soupyverse will commonly use for the rest of eternity.

When these souls were first manifested, the primordial soup generated a unique type of noodle, known as HyperString, for its stringy texture. This HyperString cloaked the souls as a means of giving them a solid form to use. Its properties were very strange, and not much is still known about it.

Out of the Primordial Soup sprang the rest of the gods. First, there were the elder gods. These gods are meant to govern and oversee the balance in the different parts of the Soupyverse, and they rule over different domains of soup, such as the god of bowls, god of spoons, and god of bread. Elder Croutonious is not an Elder god, nor does he have a domain over croutons, just to clarify.

After the elder gods, there were many many other gods. Each had different domains and skills that integrated into the Soupyverse. Most notably were the P Gods, who had the largest and most iconic domains. Toma Tosou P contained the domain and control of the tomato soup, and was the overseer of all tomato soup creation and usage, spreading the tomato soup to every corner of the universe. Like this, every god had various domains that they watched over and spread, although the P gods were some of the most important and iconic. Some gods were also destructive and infamous; these gods came to be known as the rebel gods. But even stronger still were the Spirits. The Spirits were substantially powerful, but tended not to use, or even be able to use, most of their power. They did not entirely work with the Soupyverse in a meaningful way, but were rather byproducts of the vigorous manifestation of the gods. Such large energy manifestation and godmaking can only be done by the Primordial soup, and so the waste energy goes back into the soup and is repurposed into these spirits.

The spirits are usually neutral and idle, but one particular quality of Bob allows him to convert and control other beings to some extent. This is mainly why some spirits are destructive in the first place, and why the rebel gods exist.
