CHAPTER 86 HOBBIES
Billy smacked Lan's head from behind.
"Outch, dude..."
Lan whined
His earlier outburst had earned the both of the strange looks from others.
The two boys had both decided to come to the Guild Hall for registration.
They were both seeking to get stronger, so staring out as adventurers was the best course of action.
Billy looked around and spotted the reception desk.
"Come on"
He led the way.
They both reached the desk Lan waved at the beautiful lady behind.
"Hello there. We're here to be adventurers, sign us up please"
Lan said.
The raised a brow.
Billy exhaled.
"Don't mind this idiot. We're students from Avalon academy and we were instructed to come here for more experience. So could you please fill us in on how to get started?"
Billy explained.
"Wow, I never knew you could say please"
Lan said, earning another smack.
"Alright"
The lady nodded and brought out two files
"Welcome to the Guild. Please fill out these"
She passed it to them.
The document contained information on the what it meant to be adventurers and the various rankings.
The starting rank of an adventurer the F rank.
Thus; F, E, D, C, B, A, S.
The rank of an adventurer increases by earning points from missions and quests.
Following the adventurer rankings, the quest ranks also begins from F ranked quests to S ranked quests.
Adventurers are also allowed to form parties and groups. Each groups must be made of five people before being registered as official groups, or allowed to accept quests or go on raids.
Billy raised a brow at the last part of the document.
First time registration fee, one gold coin.
That's two gold coins for the both of them.
The use of beast crystals for payment was also allowed.
Thus the money system;
Ten Basic tier crystals equals 1 bronze.
Ten Secondary tier crystals equals 1 silver
Ten Advanced tier crystals equals 1 gold
Ten Magical tier crystals equals 1 diamond.
And so on...

"Good thing we got enough from yesterday portal outing"
Lan said
"Yeah..."
After signing the file, Lan took off his back pack and counted twenty advanced tier crystals on the deck.
The lady behind the desk raised a brow as multiple beast crystals gleamed across her face.
"R.. right"
She cleared her throat and brought out two F rank badges and handled them.
"Welcome to the guild"
She greeted.
Billy and Lan made their way towards the quest board after collecting the brown wooden badges with the Guild insignia.
They scanned the board for F ranked quests and found multiple.
But the rules of the Hall held them, only a team of five people or more where allowed to accept quests.
Lucky for them, they weren't the only new members in the guild.
"Hey there?"
They both turned to see a group of three walking towards them.
Lan smiled upon seeing three of his classmates heading towards them. And leading the group was non other than a tall pretty girl with long pink hair and bunny ears standing tall.
Anya was clad in black body fitting metal armor and a pink leather jacket on top. A long silver sword was strapped across her chest making her look badass.
Her beautiful pink eyes still dark with her usual aloof expression.
Lan couldn't help but smile.
Lately Anya has been more outward than usual. She would never walk in public, expecially an open guild filled with hundreds of people. She would rather stay invisible as usual.
But now even with the numerous eyes, both stunned and judgemental, she walked proudly with head high and shoulders tall.
"I'm being influenced..
She thought.
Beside her were two boys, also first years.
Zain and Zed were naturally drawn towards Anya as this was their first time in the guild Hall.
Anya was already there, ready to move with her previous team. When she sighted the twins, she raised a brow cause Zain and Zed both had red hair.
"You gotta be kidding me...
She remembered a certain someone.
The twins had approached her and she left her team to assist them register.
Few minutes later, Zain caught sight of Billy.
" You guys need a team right, same goes for us"
Zain said upon reaching them.
"Good to see you guys"
Lan let out a smile.
He looked at Anya and asked.
"Is Sylver also here?"
Anya shot him a glare before walking towards the quest board.
Billy followed her with his eyes.
Anya scanned the board before saying;
"The four of you are new so we can only take low rank quests"
"The four of us, what about you?"
Billy asked.
Anya turned to face them.
"I'm not new here. I'm C ranked"
She showed them her silver badge.
The Guild ranking system are as follows
F ranked _ Brown wooden badge.
E ranked _ Iron badge (dull silver)
D ranked _ Bronze metal badge
C ranked _ Silver steel badge
B ranked _ Gold steel badge
A ranked _ Diamond badge
S ranked _ Emerald badge
A Guild Hall badge also serves as an identity card for any locations within and outside the borders of Avalon.

"I like your hobbies"
Lan said.
"Anyway, because I'm C rank, our group doesn't have to take F ranked quests. We can go straight to E ranked quests and maybe D ranked"
Billy nodded.
"Then let's go"
Anya glanced towards the quest board and pointed at a D ranked quest.
The quest stated:

DIFFICULTY
_D ranked _
An image of the beast was there for reference.
"With our skills set, it won't be difficult"
Anya said.
"Alright then, let's take it"
Lan smiled.
The others nodded and they left to register for the quest.
