CHAPTER 84 GROWING PLANS
Roman stretched his hands towards the dead minotaurs.
Red lightning tentacles flow out from his fingers.
It entered the dead beasts and extracted the glowing crystal.
"Magical ranked crystals, finally.."
He muttered as the crystals flowed above his palm.
He turned to face the breathless students...and sir Brock.
"I'm keeping this.."
Roman said. His tone dark, as if challenging anyone to come take it off him.
His katana still humming with power, like a madman seeking for blood and carnage.
Not one of them spoke.
Sir Brock nodded after a while.
"That was reckless"
Roman shrugged.
"I still handled it"
The teacher's gaze lingered on the crimson-haired boy, then on the cleanly bisected Minotaur and the razor-smooth cuts left in the earth.
Inwardly, one thought echoed louder than any other:
"At sixteen... he's already fighting at a level far beyond this class."
Roman smiled as he walked towards his group.
As he walked past all eyes lingered on the katana.
The feeling it gave was outterworldly.
For the past week, apart from getting the number one spot from the morning drills, Roman bearly showed interest in participating in order things.
The students were growing, so some thought they were reaching his level or maybe surpassing him.
But once again Roman had shut their ideas and thoughts, throwing it back down to the depths of the abyss.
Roman had displayed more power and skills that he even had during training.
They were still nowhere near his league.
Billy gritted his teeth in anger as the thought.
"How did he become so strong, I thought it was because of Ki, but now I know is just part of the reasons"
Anya also had similar thoughts.
For a while now she had been planning to challenge Roman to a one on one fight so she could satisfy her curiosity.
Now she was having second thoughts after Roman's display of skills..and his sword.
"I'll still challenge him"
She smirked at the thought.
Before Roman reached the group, Sylver walked towards him held his arm, accessing his injury.
It was was already healing, but the long scar was still there.
"You got a reckless"
She frowned.
"Just a bit"
Roman's shoulders slumped.
"Relax Sylver"
Lunar said as he stored the three crystals into his storage ring.
"I haven't seen that sword in a while"
He added.
Roman raised the katana up to his face.
This was the last gift he got from his mom before he departed the village.
"Yeah"
Roman breathed out.
He knew how the sword can affect him, that's why he chose to only use it when needed.
The katana had transformed entirely from what it once was when he first got it.
It looked like a regular sliver blade with runes.
But now, the length of the katana had increased, and the blade had turned crimson red with dark runes running around it.
This was a weapon that grew with the bearer.
The more Roman grew, the blade follows.

The sound echoed as Roman place it back in the sheath and returning to the size of a dagger.

Roman stared at the three magical ranked crystals on his bed.
It was already night time with the moon shining brightly.
Fury stood on his laps, also eyeing the crystals.
He was a danger beast after all, an advanced tier.
Advanced tier beasts needs higher ranked crystals to evolve, so they hunt higher ranked beasts in large numbers.
It was difficult for a danger beast to control their selves when looking at a high tier crystals.
The urge was worst when standing before Beast masters.
The cores of Beasts masters were more pure and potent.
Fury was intelligent, but he was also a danger beast with primal urges.
But he was also cute with exquisite self-control.
Fury rolled his eyes and relax his back on Roman's shirtless abs.
He lost all interest in the advanced tier crystals.
Roman chuckled.
"Are you gonna stare at it till it melts or what?"
Lunar joked, coming out of the bathroom. His hair dripping with water.
The twins weren't around.
Roman looked at him.
"I'm just thinking"
"Bout what?"
"Sneaking out of the City tomorrow night"
Lunar sat on Roman's bed.
"What's yr plans?"
"Since we've been going out of the city to train with Sir Apollo, I've been mapping out the forest zones in and out.
I still remember when sir Apollo pointed the direction of a red zone."
Roman explained
"Its far away, but I'm sure I can make it back in time for morning drills"
"You want me to come with you, it's been awhile since I go all out"
Lunar asked.
"I actually wanna go alone if you don't mind"
"It's cool. I need my beauty rest anyways"
Lunar rest his back on the bed.
Roman chuckled.
He reached for a crystal.
He remembered the first time he absorbed a beast crystals.
The foreign energy couldn't leave the crystal, so he pushed his own energy into it and forced out the foreign energy although with his own.
His spirit energy served as a guide for the foreign energy to flow into his system and lower dantian.
Roman smiled as he felt the foreign yet familiar energy into his body.
It was exciting and... exhilarating .
Lunar could see the glow in Roman's eyes.
Roman had explained the absorbing process to him some time ago. He even tried it but, it didn't work.
"It's been a while"
Roman felt the sudden change.
His ki had increased . And it wasn't a small increase either.
He absorbed the second one and the energy flowed into him.
Roman closed his eyes and circulate the energy within.
Few minutes later, he felt the another star core forming.
It was tiny but it was there. It will fully form if he absorb another or two.
Roman smiled and reached for the last one.
"Here you go"
He handed it to Fury.
Fury's eyes widen with a squeak. He looked at Roman.
"What?, you need to grow also. I need a strong and smart beast for our future adventures"
Roman smiled .
Fury looked at the crystals and slowly grabbed it with both paws.
For danger beasts, absorbing crystals was a natural trait.
The crystal dissolved as the energy flowed into the squirrel's body. It passed through his system and flowed into his core, solidifying it.
Fury felt a change in his body.
The crystal energy wasn't enough to force an evolution, but there were some changes.
Fury felt his mind becoming sharper and his perception widely increased.
"Huh...I was thinking you would grow a pair of wings"
Lunar said.
Fury glared at him.
"Let's see how tomorrow's hunt goes then"
Roman said as he rest on the bed.
Fury curled up on Roman's chest and closed his eyes.
