Chapter 34 - Chapter 32

On the of the highest mountain sat an enormous temple. The temple had no walls, instead, it had hundreds of granite columns…each column stretched high like legs of stone holding up the sky. At the far end of the temple was an enormous throne with nothing but the blue sky as a background.

"The more I see, the more I love this place." Thomas said with an appreciative smile.

Thalia carefully observed their opponents. On the throne sat a giant figure…too beautiful to be a giant…but too demonic to be an angel. The throne was guarded by 4 angelic guards.

!ALERT!

[ITARIM]

[Apostle Giant]

[Apostle Giant]

[Apostle Giant]

[Apostle Giant]

'So, our opponents are one Itarim God and four Apostles,' Thalia thought nervously not liking these numbers.

The Itarim God stood up and without a word his figure started to expand exponentially until its face became the sky itself.

"What a cheap trick." Thomas grumbled.

"Hey kid…you are strong…not doubt about it…but not strong enough…not yet at least. You are not ready to go up against an Itarim…they are practically Gods." Thomas said with a serious tone.

He continued, "leave the big guy to me…you handle the four small fries. They are Apostles…so don't let your guard down."

Thalia nodded nervously…she felt uneasy about the plan…specially letting Thomas fight a God alone.

Thomas sensing her anxiety burst into laughter and said, "relax kid…we got this. Let's kick their asses."

With all his strength, Thomas shouted, "COWARD!!! Stop puffing up…you look like a damn pufferfish. Get down here so I can kick your ass."

The Itarim God's face hardened. A moment later it started to shrink back down. It said with a bitter tone, "Insolence."

The four Apostles charged at Thalia while Thomas charged at the Itarim God. The Itarim shot thousands of energy beams that looked like flying knives at Thomas.

Three years ago, after Suho, Thomas, and the other Monarchs defeated an Itarim God and joined Jinwoo on the frontlines, Thomas realized something important. First, he needed to get stronger. Second, he learned how the Itarim fight.

From that day forward, Thomas spent everyday at the Shadow Dungeon training in the Pyramid Training Center with Ammut. Thomas called this time his "vacation"…which greatly angered Ammut…causing him to intensify his training with Thomas (which is what Thomas wanted to begin with).

It was thanks to his rigorous daily training that Thomas pushed his power far beyond the power held by the previous King of Giants. His power exceeded the power previously held by Antares, Monarch of Destruction and King of Dragons. Thomas was not satisfied with that level of power…he knew he need to keep pushing higher if he wanted to help Jinwoo.

During his training, Thomas thought about how to fight and defeat Itarim Gods. They each had two powerful weaspons 1) Creation ability and 2) their Authority which manifested in different way. With these two advantages, an Itarim could wield their vast mana to create endless projectiles, soldiers/servants, creatures, and even entire worlds.

The Itarim shot thousands of light attacks at Thomas…they looked like a sea of flying glass. Thomas grinned and used a special skill he developed just for this type of attack.

GIANT'S REINFORCEMENT

Using his mana, Thomas created a giant shield easily blocking the many projectiles.

"Is that all you got?" Thomas asked with annoyance.

"Stop throwing flies at me and fight me like a man!" Thomas challenged the Itarim (he did the Bruce Lee "bring it on" hand gesture).

Enraged at the insult, the Itarim charged at Thomas with his bare fists…like a savage barbarian about to clobber his enemy.

Thomas grinned and thought, 'that's more like it.'

He easily blocked the Itarim's right punch with his left arm, then he delivered a massive right punch into the Itarim's stomach. That was followed by a left hook to the face, then a savage barrage of punches to the face and body.

The sheer force of each blow sent shock waves for miles. Trees were blown off and mountains crumbled.

Meanwhile, the Apostles were engaged in a fierce battle with Thalia…sensing their God was in danger, the Apostle attacked frantically hoping to end their battle quickly.
