[NK Gene Modification Serum. Improved Version]

[Description: Some madman synthesized a serum capable of modifying genes. We used it as a blueprint and improved it. [Price: Dim Proficiency Essence x50]

After reading this newly added item, Alex silently closed the "shop."

This so-called [NK Gene Modification Serum] could be considered a "stable Compound V," one that specifically turned ordinary people into superhumans.

Unfortunately, for Alex, he had no use for this thing at all.

"Can't you bring out something actually useful?"

He muttered under his breath. Then he saw The Deep run out from the breach in the terminal hall.

Behind him were several mutants.

These mutants, like Edi Orr, had injected the so-called "Holy Blood," but their degree of mutation was far less than Edi Orr's. At the same time, these mutants seemed unable to maintain their sanity.

They chased The Deep like wild beasts.

"Save me, boss!"

The Deep shouted, "These things just won't die!"

"Trash."

Alex deeply despised The Deep. Once this guy was on land, aside from being able to take a beating, he was basically useless.

A few mutants had chased him all the way out of the terminal. He had really dragged the Seven's reputation through the mud.

"The weak point is the head."

After tossing out this line, Alex ignored him completely, flew up into the air, turned around, and sped off toward the Seven Tower.

———

At the airport, seeing that Homelander had actually just left like that, The Deep froze for a moment.

At this moment, a mutant lunged over and bit down hard on his shoulder.

Remembering Homelander's reminder, The Deep yelled, slammed the mutant to the ground, then lifted his foot and stomped down fiercely on its head.

One stomp crushed the mutant's skull. The mutant immediately stopped moving.

The Deep cheered, turned around, and was about to deal with the other mutants, but he saw Black Noir moving like a ghost around the mutants, that long blade drawing arcing flashes of steel, slicing off the heads of four or five mutants in one go.

The Deep could only clear his throat, plant his hands on his hips, and point at Black Noir, "Nice work."

———

In the night sky—

Alex had already spotted the Seven Tower in the distance.

As he flew past a building, a window suddenly shattered beside him, and a figure flew out, screaming as it fell.

Alex instinctively reached out and grabbed, catching a girl.

He looked into the window. Inside, seven or eight men in black suits cried out in alarm.

"It's Homelander."

"Go! Go! Go!"

In the blink of an eye, they all fled.

Alex looked at the girl in his hands. Young and beautiful, with a small mole at the corner of her mouth. From the shock, she had already fainted.

Alex glanced at the Seven Tower, now not far away, shook his head, and instead flew toward a hospital.

After delivering the girl to the hospital, Alex finally returned to the Seven Tower.

———

The next morning—

Alex stretched lazily and woke up.

He sat up in bed and saw a beautiful bare back. Smooth skin that made one sigh, 'It would be such a waste not to use it for cupping.'

Seeing Raven Nora, the head of public relations, sleeping on the bed, Alex let out a chuckle, "So it really wasn't a dream. I really did transmigrate."

He then remembered that after returning to the Seven Tower last night, Raven Nora had come to report on the progress of the incident.

At the time, Alex had given her a look.

The woman understood immediately, and so the report was moved to the bed.

"This kind of sleeping-in-until-late life is really nice."

He patted the woman, pulled the blanket over her, then took a shower, had breakfast, and put on his combat suit before leaving. When he left, the female executive was still sleeping soundly.

She had been worked too hard last night.

———

Walking down the corridor and greeting all kinds of people, a thought stirred in Alex's mind. Then a fragrant breeze surged beside him, and a head of fiery wine-red, wavy long hair appeared at the corner of his eye.

"Yesterday was really lively. Looks like I missed a lot," Wearing a skimpy gladiator-style battle outfit, the sexy and mature Maeve glanced at Alex, "I heard Raven didn't come out of your room last night?"

"She's sleeping pretty soundly."

"Originally, the one lying in bed right now should be you. Too bad, you didn't have time," Alex said this without the slightest psychological burden.

Maeve snorted, "We're over."

"You haven't forgotten, have you?"

Alex clasped his hands behind his back and smiled, "Nobody ever said this kind of thing can't start again. Don't you think?"

Maeve frowned slightly, then changed the subject, "So, A-Train really killed someone?"

Alex pointed at his eyes, "I saw it with my own eyes."

"And a lot of reporters saw it too."

Maeve shook her head, "I didn't think he'd do something like that. I thought only you would be that crazy."

Alex slowly closed his eyes a bit, "Your Majesty, I admire your courage, but remember this. Saying things like that to me is fine, but don't say it carelessly outside, or someone with ulterior motives might use it."

"And also, before long, you might realize that I'm not the same as before."

Maeve didn't respond.

At this moment, Ashley walked over, looked at the two of them, and said, "I'll come back later."

"No need," Maeve smiled, "You two talk."

The she headed toward the training room.

"What is it, Miss Ashley?", Alex showed eight teeth in a smile as he looked at his "butler girl."

Ashley held a tablet and said, "Homelander, after last night's rescue incident, your approval rating rose by 1.8 percent. Mr. Edgar also called. He highly praised the actions you took last night."

Alex wasn't very interested in the so-called approval rating, let alone Edgar's praise.

He knew very well that right now, he was a thorn in Edgar's eye.

But Edgar still handed the Seven over to him, simply because he had no means of resisting him for the moment.

'If I were Edgar, I would definitely compromise on the surface while secretly stepping up research into strategies to restrain Homelander.'

'So, if Vought cannot be controlled, then it must be eliminated.'

'But before that, I need a team loyal to me, with enough combat power to take on armies and other superhumans.'

Alex smiled, calmed his thoughts, and walked toward the main hall.

Ashley hurried to follow and said, "Also, right now we're conducting a nationwide open selection to choose new superhumans to join the Seven."

"You know, right now the Seven only have five members including you. If we don't replenish members quickly, the team won't live up to its name, and that will affect our brand image."

'Open selection? New members of the Seven?'

Alex reached out his hand, "Give me the list of candidates and their detailed information. I want their specific abilities and real combat experience."

He wanted to personally select the members.

Also, he wanted to kick "Starlight" out of the selection list.

Alex didn't want a decorative vase wasting a spot in the Seven.
