Arc 2 chapter 20
The forest was thick and green all over, the trees were beautiful but non had any fruit, the scene was pretty but dangerous as a giant snake roamed this forest in the shadows and it's favorite food was running and bouncing around like the Rabbit it was, Kali had to find a way to escape this giant venomous snake that was putting a threat on her life and her partner at the time is not of any help since she's not specialized in fighting giant monsters especially giant snakes neither less. Kali and Ssp6 were a bad match up against this thing and they were gonna run out of mana any time soon. The was an important question Ssp6 needed to ask to Kali...
Ssp6: come on! Are you sure the isn't anyone you're in love with?!
Kali: for the fifth time I'm not in love with anyone! And precise.
Ssp6 wasn't asking a silly question in a serious situation, it had something to do with her unique ability to teleport anyone a certain person is in love with and it doesn't work for her but it does for other people and this ability is called Soul Connect.
Ssp6: Come on, don't tell me you're not at least in love with Albert!
Kali: eww hell no!
Ssp6: but he's strong! I thought rabbit beast-folk girls goes for the strong!
Kali: yeah but it turns out that's not how love works, Sion taught me the other day. I think it has something to do with emotions?
Ssp6: are you serious?! I thought you rabbit people just fell in love with the strong right away, but it turns out it was just a fucking rule! It's kinda sad too... Aghh! This is no time for this shit!
Kali: damn it! Those idiots should've just let me sacrifice myself and it would all be over, but nooo "we had to stop it from the inside" and look at us now! At this rate the storm will consume the intire north! Just... Why? Just to save me? But I just met you and you wanna save me? You idiot... And why am I feeling like this? It doesn't make sense... I'm thinking about that weakling of all people? But ever since he said he'll help me and that my life is a lot worth than sacrificing it...
Ssp6: hahaha yes! My ability is reacting! Finally! I knew you had the hots for Albert!
Kali: what?!
Ssp4: here we go! Super Punch! Come and save us [Soul Connect]
Kali: huh? (why do I feel nervous all of sudden? Is it because I'm about to meet the person I'm in love with? Is this how love feels!)
Space started shifting in front of them and Power 6's eyes were filled with hope as the space stopped shifting and someone came out of the pseudo black hole and fell right in front of them but Power 6's hope quickly faded and got replaced by disappointment when a red headed black boy appeared instead of Albert the Super Punch. Kali got soo embarrassed of the reveal that she instantly covered her face.
Ssp6: you have got to be kidding me! Him! Why him! Of all people!
Kali: (still covering her face) I don't know either okay!
Alex: ughh... Damn it! I wasn't prepared for that! (sigh) I escaped that dimension and walked into another... Wait Kali? And... That uniform, you're a Sun Spider?
Ssp6: yes I am.
Alex: Kali get back... She wants to kill you!
Kali: I know but right now we need her (after recovering from the embarrassment)
Ssp6: yes, for now we need to focus on the enemy within.
Alex: and that is?
Ssp6: an Azura Serpent has been on our ass for a while now and we are almost dry on mana and that's why we summoned you here.
Alex: we?
Ssp6: yeah it's about my ability to —
Kali: yeah yeah that's not important right now, what's important is the snake!
Ssp6: yeah that's the story but I don't think you're going to be of any help.
Alex: mhmm... what rank is it?
Ssp6: around B and A.
Alex: I think I can handle it.
Ssp6: hah! Don't make me laugh! With that small aura? You won't last a minute.
Alex: (releases aura and removes stealth mode) I think I can take it on now.
Ssp6: no way... Maybe you don't have bad taste miss rabbit! You really do pick strong ones!
Kali: no way... Even I didn't know this!
When Alex released his aura, the amount of aura that was surrounding him was incredible and well toned like it was bieng controlled by a master. Kali and Power 6 were stunned.
Kali: no way... I thought you were weak what happened!
Alex: sorry from keeping this from you but I was training in stealth mode ever since I left Markini and it was Albert's idea by the way.
Kali: no way, if you were in stealth mode I would've noticed! Unless your mana control was so bad that it kept leaking out and I thought that was your real aura.
Alex: yeah Albert kept scolding me about that. (scratching the back of his head)
Kali: I can't believe this and I can't believe I fell in love with an idiot like you!
Alex: what?!
Ssp6: damn girl straight for the kill!
Alex: what are you... Nevermind we'll talk later, right now we have company.
When they were talking a loud hiss came from the direction of their north side and the hiss kept coming closer and closer until a giant purple snake excreting acid was in front of them with terrifying blood thirst aura. The snake instantly went straight for the kill but Alex pushed it back with a [giant fireball LV1]
Alex: damn it's aggressive not even a greeting, so this is an Azura Serpent.
Kali: how about you? It was not too long ago when you were celebrating your first fireball and now you're throwing giant fireballs?
Alex: yeah it's weird... Like...i don't even know what's happening to me.
Kali:... Tell me exactly... Why is Albert teaching you perfect mana control? Cuz if I remember correctly that's a level of mana control which is so advanced that only veterans and expirienced fighters can master it and for some reason you're rushing to master it, why is that?
Alex: why are you suddenly worried about me?
Kali: don't make me mad!
Alex: sorry but... I'll tell you later okay?
Kali: fine but I want to know everything!
Ssp6: sorry for disturbing your lover's quarrel but we got a FUCKING SNAKE coming straight at us!!!
When they looked at the direction of the Azura, it had already recovered and it was coming at them in high speeds and it was more aggressive than ever and went straight for Kali while at it, Alex noticing this he jumped and hit it straight at the head with a [fire punch LV4] and the snake lost it's balance but quickly recovered but at it's surprise Alex was still mid air with a fierce look in his eyes... [rapid fire punch LV3], just like that the snake received the beating of it's life with explosive fire punches left and right and the serpent wasn't even Given time to react until it's face was too busted to do anything.
Ssp6: he's a monster! That snake was giving us a run for our money not too long ago and he's beating it like easy cake!
Kali:... (why do I feel like something's wrong with him?)
The Azura was at the verge of death and drawing it's last breath but something felt off after Alex had just exploded the Snake's head off with a [fire ball] and he just stood there with an arm on his head.
Kali:... Alex?
Alex: wait! Stay away from me!... Ugh!
Ssp6: what's wrong with him?
Kali: I don't know but his mana for some reason it's going crazy! I've never seen something like this before!
Alex: ugh!!!... Come on! Keep it together man!
Kali: Alex! What's happening?!
Alex: hold on!... Gaaah!... I said...not today! (his mana finally stabilized) huff... Huff. I did it. (whew)
Kali: it looks like it finally stabilized...? Where's that woman?
When Kali looked around Power 6 was already gone and there was a portal that was already open since Alex defeated the Azura Serpent and it looked like she may have gone through there and ran away.
Kali: it looks like she ran away... But for now... (she ran towards Alex) okay now there's no avoiding it, what the fuck was that?!
Alex:... The reason I'm trying to master perfect mana control.
Kali: yeah no shit! You totally lost your shit back there!
Alex: I'm sorry I... Didn't mean to...
Kali: I'm sorry... I guess I kinda lost my shit too, but what was that?
Alex: (sigh) every time I over use my mana or find my self in really dark places, my mana loose control and for some reason I become something else...
Kali: something else?
Alex: I don't know what it is, but it's savage and likes to destroy things and hurt people for no reason and worst of all when I get my senses back I remember nothing... And I don't wanna hurt the people close to me and if I hurt them by any chance then... I won't forgive my self!
Kali: for an adventurer you're the most kindest person I've ever met you know that? Not only are you afraid for other people, you also care for others and it's the same kind heart of yours that led us to this mission so that a certain stubborn bunny don't sacrifice her self.
Alex: Kali...
Kali: what I'm saying is there's no way you're gonna hurt anyone you care about! And one day you'll beat that fucking stranger inside you who's trying to ruin our Alex! So don't give in to it and keep fighting! And we'll assist along side you!
Alex: thank you... Kali! I feel great now,how could I repay you for this?
Kali: easy! Become my husband.
Alex:.... I'm sorry?
Kali: today I just found out that I'm in love with you soo... Be my husband!
Alex: wait hold on, how did you come to that conclusion?
Kali: remember when you teleported here?
Alex: yeah I thought that was the storms effects.
Kali: well that woman I was with who calls herself Power 6 of the Sun Spiders has this ability that allows her to teleport anyone who a person is in love with and when she used it on me, you appeared, so that's how I know.
Alex: damn there are crazy unique abilities outhere huh?
Kali: so is it a yes or no?
Alex: well uhh I got Rachel you know?
Kali: I thought you wanted a harem.
Alex: how did you know that!
Kali: Sion told me and said you're open for anyone.
Alex: damn Sion how could you be a sell out and a wingman at the same time?
Kali: so? What is it?
Alex: well uh...
Kali: and I know Rachel supports it.
Alex:... Okay I'll be your boyfriend but not your husband atleast not yet anyways, I don't wanna get married or do anything related to marriage yet but I promise I will marry you one day and Rachel soo is that cool with you?
Kali: yeah sure I'll hold you on to that. (blushing)
Alex: thank you for understanding, now let's get out of here.
Kali: sure!
Alex and Kali went for the portal and went into the storm once again with a new bond and promise between them. When Alex and Kali reached outside they saw Albert carrying an injured Sion on his back and Rachel trying her best to heal him, Alex and Kali ran straight to them.
Alex: Sion!... What happened!
Rachel: when me and Albert came out of the portal we found him beat up like this and bleeding.
Alex: did the Sun Spiders did this?
Albert: if it was them they would have made sure he was dead. This was something else.
Alex: what ever it is, I'll make sure it pays!
