Fate and Crimson Ch15
Arc 2 Chapter 15
She was sprinting as fast as she can and hope that she'll make it to the forest but by the time she makes it there she was so exhausted and could no longer hold her ground and before she knew it she collapsed on the ground in the middle of a dangerous forest. The night was chill but nature was still cruel as Orcs gathered around her as they try to kidnap her but the rabbit girl quickly woke up the moment they got closer and she tried to fight back but she was going to be overpowered soon as more Orcs kept coming from the trees and shadows and now she was finally pinned at the ground and the Orcs attempted to breed her on the spot but they got attacked from behind by a woman raging in with a spear, it was Rachel cutting through the Orcs like they were paper and blood sprayed in the night sky as the screams of the Orcs echoed through the forest as too warn other monsters of the threat that was Rachel as she slaughtered the Orcs by herself.
Rachel: are you okay? Are you hurt anywhere? They didn't do anything right?
Kali: (shaking) I'm f.. F... F.. Fine!
Rachel: (fhew) I'm glad I made it in time.
Alex: hey Rachel! You can't just run off like that and... What the! What's this? There are dead Orcs everywhere!
Rachel: oh sorry but I sensed danger! these disgusting pigs were about to gang up on this poor rabbit girl.
Alex: oh man is she okay?
Rachel: she says she's fine but she lost consciousness after you appeared.
Alex: we'll have to go back to camp and check up on her.
Rachel: I can't believe a rabbit type beast-folk would wander off of her territory.
Alex: maybe something happened to her home and if that's the case then...
Rachel: relax we still don't know anything yet and don't know what to expect, as much as I like to go I just can't it's too risky.
Alex: (flames flickering in his hand).
Rachel: (kisses his cheek) geez you lose your temper real quick, don't worry for now let's just focus on healing her and hear her story later once she wakes up.
Alex: okay let's go back to camp...but man Albert and Sion are gonna be surprised by this.
Rachel: and I can't wait to tell Sion that I was right about earlier.
Alex: you're still on that?
Rachel: I won't stop until he recognized my ideals!
Alex: hehehe(cold sweat)
Alex and Rachel rescued the bunny girl Kali was about to be defiled by Orcs and now they're heading back to the camp where the others are.
At the Ember estate at 9AM there were strange movements where every child was asleep but this group was not and they were positioned near the giant gate swarming with security from every side and angle and Ryan and the gang were about to make their move, operation Star Escape.
Ryan: is everyone ready? (using telepathy casted by Solen on the group)
Dorg: yeah ready.
Everyone: ready!
Ryan: good let's start.
Ryan approached the gate by himself but was quickly stopped when he finally reached the guards at gate.
Guard: stop right there kid, do you have permission to leave? And if you do then bring the permit.
Ryan: nope I don't but just let me pass okay.
Guard: then you're not allowed to leave!
Ryan: haha... I wasn't asking [fire spread]
Before the guards can notice it they were already high up in the air thrown away by the fire pressure that came out of Ryan, and when the guards on top of the gate noticed this, it was already too late.
Loxy: [love beam]
Heart shaped energy blasts landed on the guards at the top of the gate and the guards got blasted away. The alarm bell rang from the east wall of the Ember estate indicating members of the clan trying to escape and as the bell rang, more security came and at that moment the whole rebellious group showed up as they defended Ryan so that he can finish unlocking the gate and runaway. The rebellious group was holding their ground but things changed when Taso Ember showed up the head of security himself.
Dorg: shit! It's Taso!
Loxy: Ryan has to hurry up!
Taso: you shitheads have done it now! [flame art releases!]
Taso Ember released a flame in his body that acted as both offense and defense as it slowly pushed the rebellious group back and their bodies couldn't withstand the heat as they all slowly collapsed one by one. Finally the gate was open but when Ryan looked back he found everyone of his friends down for the count and Taso was walking towards.
Ryan: you bastard! Do you know what I can do to you!?
Taso: yes I can imagine and though I hate to admit but you're clearly stronger than me but I'm confident that I can hold you on long enough for back up to arrive.
Ryan: tsk!... Here me Taso and the rest of the Ember clan can know! Things will change around here in the future and people like you will fall as I know I will not fail or at least die trying!
Taso: what are you talking about?
Ryan: the future Taso the future! Ronald won't be at the throne for long!
Taso: Ronald is the rightful ruler of the throne by blood and power! Who else?
Ryan: you guys are more ignorant than I thought but Lynn had two sons.
Taso: (big laughter) you're more of a fool than I thought! But people from the star branch had never been one's for brains but if you think that failure is rightful to the throne, then you're just insulting the Ember clan! I mean c'mon even his father had to kick him out because he was an embarrassment to the clan!
Ryan: no you're the fools and I'll prove it! So see you later! And remember these words and let the elders know! Because it's coming.
Ryan unleashed a big smoke screen and disappeared from the scene and Taso was left there surprised.
Taso: shit! He got away! What am I gonna tell the elders!
That night Ryan Ember of the Star branch of the Ember clan has escaped the estate and no one knew where he went but it was obvious of where he was planning on going but no one was willing to persue him to the northern continent not to mention that he was one of the fastest in the clan. The rest of the rebellious group was detained in the underground chambers behind bars waiting for their punishment by the head of the clan.
It was morning at the forest where Alex and his group were settled and as usual Alex was training to be able to control his mana and was bieng taught by Albert while Sion and Lucia were doing their own combat training but this time they were not so far since Alex and Albert took in a particular person last night and brought her back to camp with them and now they had to watch over her. After some few hours while Alex was concentrating his aura so that he can shape it into a sphere and make a fire ball, a projectile type of magic ability and Albert suggested this because fire ball is the most basic attack for a fire type fighter and that it's a perfect example for shaped mana control and if he can do that, then they would try to make more complicated shapes and improve his mana control from there and now he was almost done with his training and then...
Alex: [fire ball LV1]... I did it! I finally did it!
Albert: would you look at that? Little guy finally did it and it was well made fire ball too.
Sion: yeah! I knew you could pull it off!
Rachel: congrats Alex!
Kali: you guys are so loud it's just a weakass fire ball, matter of fact here [water ball LV3] is that a cause for celebration?
Before everyone could notice, the rabbit type beast-folk was already awake and she was proving to be quite the rude and grumpy character.
Rachel: (surprised) oh? You were awake?
Kali: isn't that obvious?
Rachel: oh sorry I guess?
Kali: Don't be you're not the only with useless comments in this world.
Sion: hey! She was just trying to be nice!
Kali: I didn't ask her to.
Sion: (pissed off) why you little...
Alex: hey she saved your life you know!
Kali: shut up red head, you who just learned a stupid fire ball at your age.
Alex: oh...(completely crushed)
Rachel: why are you so mean? can you at least tell us why you were at the forest all tired and beat up like that?
Kali: that's non of your business! Anyways I suggest you get out of this forest soon and... Where's the seal!
Albert: are you looking for this? (while waving a strange crystal) I thought it was an ordinary crystal but now you just mentioned something about a seal?
Kali: give that back right now! (angry).
Albert: or what?
Kali: then I'll... Nevermind just give it back please.
Sion: she got nice all of sudden?
Albert: you were able to tell the difference between me and you in power even though I was suppressing it? Impressive!
Kali: my tribe knows on not to pick a fight with someone way stronger than you and as for you... You're a complete monster!
Albert: I'll take that as a compliment and anyways what do you need a seal for? Especially a blumond one?
Kali: how do you know of the blumond seal?! But anyways the Cursed Storm will come this way and I need to seal it in this forest!
Rachel: no way! The Cursed Storm doesn't reach this far!
Alex: what's a cursed storm?
Sion: geez you never read a book do you? Haven't you asked yourself why are we not leaving this forest until the end of February?
Alex: nope I thought it was just for training.
Albert: well... I'm pretty sure you know of mana zones right?
Alex: yeah places that are filled with a lot of mana that causes a lot of monsters to appear in abnormal rates and make the weather behave strange and very dangerous for a normal people and animals right?
Albert: yeah and the Cursed Storm is classified as a mana zone but this one moves.
Alex: what!
Sion: it's a type of mana zone that moves in a form of a really big tornado that destroys anything in it's way and it happens once every two years in the northern countries and this month it awakens.
Rachel: yeah but it doesn't reach this far.
Kali: that's because it was kept away by the big blumond seal in my village that has been around for thousands of years and now... (starts tearing up) my village and the crystal are both gone!
Albert: what happened?!
Kali: these guys... Came out of nowhere and for some reason they started arguing with the chief and after that they started attacking everyone and destroying the houses and after that they destroyed the giant blumond and I watched everything happen while I was given time to escape with the last blumond that the chief kept safe and is now that blumond you have on you.
Albert: but this blumond is too small for you to do anything with it.
Kali: it can still work if—
Albert: you give up your soul to become a blumond vessel right?
Kali:... Yes
Alex: what! You have to die in order for this thing to work?! That's totally unfair.
Kali: fair or not I'm still gonna do it! since it's the responsibility that was given to me my people.
Alex: but you don't have to secrifice yourself, don't you wanna live?
Kali: why the hell do you care? It's not like you know me.
Alex: (angry) I don't have to know you to save your life it's just the natural thing to do and I'm saying we should find a way without having to kill you!
Kali: wha...huh? (blushed a little) you're not making any sense!
Sion: that's Alex for you. He won't quit.
Kali: but—
Albert: there's a way for you to seal the storm without you secrificing yourself but it's a real bitch!
Alex: really?!
Everyone: for real?
Albert: yeah the only thing you need to do is insert the blumond in the mana core of the storm!
Kali: hah yeah like anyone can survive that!? There's no way!
Alex... (breath in and out) if it beats anyone sacrificing themselves, then we're doing it!
Kali: you're insane! You know that's suicide right? Your joke is not even funny.
Albert: it looks like we got our mission way too early then. (stretching)
Sion: (sigh) we're the ones who decided to make him the leader after all.
Rachel: it's quite heroic there's no way I'm missing a chance to deliver justice to the people who wanted you to sacrifice yourself, that's an injustice!
Kali: huh? What's going on?! (dumbfounded)
Albert: what does it look like? We're going to tackle the damn thing.
Kali: are you fucking insane?! You're going to die you know!
Alex: nah I wouldn't worry we got Albert and his mana is enough to pass through the storm's mana area.
Albert: stop treating me like a damn weapon and hurry up and gear up for battle against that freak of nature.
Alex: so are you coming with us?
Kali: this is crazy!... Ugh fine I'll at least try since it's my life we're concerned about!
Alex: good now let's get ready everyone!
Now Alex and his party find themselves challenging the Cursed Storm in order to prevent Kali from sacrificing herself to seal it.
Kali:... It's Kali.
Alex: what?
Kali: I never told you guys my name soo... It's Kali!
Alex: oh I'm Alex Ember!
Sion: Sion Grey!
Rachel: Rachel Vall!
Albert: Albert Rhodes yours truly!
And now their mission begins but someone was watching them from the shadows of the trees of the forest and he didn't like this development.
SS spy: I must tell Anos about this.
