"Aww mann... Fuutarou-kun, you're in the room of a beautiful girl and all you can think about is study?" Ichika giggled as she laud back down, making sure he was staring at her curvy figure made obvious by her blanket. Fuutarou widened his eyes at the view before he cleared his throat and looked away, a small blush on his face.
"Like what you see?~" Ichika teased him.
"I don't know what you're talking about..." He muttered. She giggled and got up again, her blanket still covering her body. She grabbed his arm a little, blushing a bit at her own actions. "C'moonnn, just admit that you find me attractive." She looked at him, giving him the puppy doll eyes. Fuutarou gulped. This girl was dangerous, super dangerous. He found himself unable to resist her charms.
"Ye-yes Ichika... You're pretty... You happy now?" He muttered, a little disappointed that he faltered this easily to a girl and her charms. Ichika smiled, a rosy blush accompanying her.
"Oh you can't imagine..." She then hummed. "But papa didn't really hold back hiring you as our tutor huh? I just found out today that you're the nation's number one student. They say you've never scored anything less than a hundred in every subject." She stated, smirking at him, impressed with his achievements.
"Well, if it's you who's doing the teaching, then I wouldn't mind being your student for an hour or two. Just lemme find my clothes kay—oh!" Ichika blinked as Fuutarou handed her a bouquet of yellow and white flowers, the same snacks stuck in between them. She gasped. They looked so beautiful.
"For me? Aww you're so sweet!" Ichika smiled sweetly at him, holding our her hands to receive the flowers. But in doing so, the blanket that was covering her body started falling down. Fuutarou noticed and widened his eyes before he immediately clutched the blanket, preventing it from falling any further.
His eyes widened further as he realized that the girl before him wasn't wearing a bra. He saw some of her cleavage, thankfully not all of it. He quickly glanced away, noticing that Ichika's face was bright red.
"S-Sorry..." He muttered. Ichika shook her head, slowly composing herself.
"D-don't be, it's my fault. I should've told you to place it somewhere. Though..." She looked away, her mouth continued before her brain could stop her. "If it fell down all the way and you saw everything... I wouldn't mind..." Great, she was making a fool of herself. Ichika, despite appearances and her behavior, had no experience with a boy whatsoever.
"A-ah... I see...." Fuutarou cleared his throat before he slowly headed to the door. "I'll be down at the living room waiting, alright?"
"A-alright..." She muttered as he closed the door when he went out. She immediately buried her face in her pillow.
"What the hell was that Ichika! 'I wouldn't mind'?! Really?! That's so dumb!" She screamed. Thankfully, her pillow muffled the screaming. She noticed someone enter her and saw that it was Yotsuba.
"Ichika, we have to talk..."
...
"Wonder what they're talking about?" He mumbled to himself as he saw Yotsuba walk to Ichika's room as soon as he exited. Of course, he could easily just let his enhanced senses do the work, but he consciously shut it off before he could even had the chance to utilize it.
"You are Fuutarou right?" Fuutarou turned around, as he saw another girl coming out of her room. Judging the room she cane out of, her name should be Miku. He saw that she had long hair and had headphones around her neck.
"Yes. And you are Miku, correct?" The girl nodded silently to his question. 'Ah, she must be an introvert.' He thought to himself.
"When I thought we were going to get some random guy as our tutor, it sure was a surprise when Yotsuba told me we were getting Itsuki's friend." Miku commented in a dull tone. She then continued.
"And you aren't just a normal tutor, aren't you? I remembered that I did some research on you before since you did appear on the news a couple of times due to your test scoring capabilities. It seems I underestimated father and his recruitment skills..." She muttered to herself. Fuutarou smiled a little, listening to her rambling.
"Well I'd be happy if you joined, Miku."
"Hmmm.. Answer my question first then, Fuutarou."
"Sure, hit me with it." Fuutarou shrugged.
" My red tracksuit is missing, it has my name on it..." Miku started off. Fuutarou raised an eyebrow at her before he chuckled.
"What? You're seriously accusing me of stealing your tracksuit? What use would I have for clothing that doesn't fit me."
"W-well, I didn't mean it like that. I was only asking because it was gone before you came." Miku widened her eyes a little, only a little. Fuutarou hummed.
"Maybe one of your sisters took it." He reasoned. Just as Miku was about to say something, someone shouted from downstairs.
"Hey! I made cookies! Want some?!" Both looked down to see Nino holding a tray full of cookies. Miku narrowed her eyes, noticing her sister wearing a red tracksuit, her red tracksuit.
"Thief..." Miku mumbled before looking at Fuutarou. "Sorry for causing a misunderstanding." Fuutarou shrugged.
"Nah it's fine." He waved her off before adding some advice. "But just a friendly reminder, before you decide someone did something, check the simplest explanation first." He motioned towards Nino who walked back to the kitchen.
"Like with your jacket for example. Just assume that it was lost, misplaced, or that someone else took it. Reality is usually boring like that. So, what I want to say is don't jump a conclusion because it felt safer than asking."
"I-i see..." Miku muttered, nodding a little. Then she realized something. Did this guy just teach her a life lesson within a minute of meeting him? Count her impressed. No one could do that, not even the teachers at their old school.
Miku sighed. "Fine, if you wish for me to join your tutoring session, then I will. Just let me grab my stuff first..." She muttered. Just as she was about to walk away, a bouquet of blue and white flowers with chocolate bars placed in between them was suddenly held in front of her face.
" What...." Her face lit up a little as she looked at Fuutarou who smiled at her. "I mean it when I say that I want all five of you to graduate with flying colors. Here's to a wonderful cooperation, Miku." Miku nodded silently, a small smile on her face as she gladly took the bouquet.
This was the first time she'd received flowers much like her sisters. And it was in her favorite color too, which earned Fuutarou extra points even though he probably didn't know her favorite color, but the gesture was what counted.
"Thank you..." She whispered as she walked away. But before she entered her room, she glanced back at him. "Though... I'd give you about a week before you give up on us..." She said gloomily before entering her room.
The black haired boy could only chuckle at her words. He certainly had no plans to leave, not even the slightest, scary predictions be damned.
'The challenge is on then, Miku. I'll show you that everyone can improve, they just need effort, a few techniques and most important of all, an awesome tutor!' He smirked confidently to himself as Yotsuba and Ichika exited the latter's room together, though there was a strange aura between the two.
"What happened? I hope you two didn't fight." He commented. Yotsuba was the first to speak, her usual energetic smile back like nothing happened.
"Oh it's nothing. Me and Ichika just had a veeery nice chat and came to an agreement of sorts. Right Ichika?" She elbowed her sister gently. Ichika nodded repeatedly, the weird sweet smile back again, like the one when she ordered Yotsuba out her room.
"Uh.... right...." Fuutarou scratched his head, a little clueless. He knew they were implying something. But what exactly was it? He decided to file that for later, he had a class to teach after all.
"C'mon, let's go." The three of them went downstairs, arriving at the living room. Fuutarou sat down, placed the white paper bag to the side before grabbing his black bag that he placed on the coffee table when he arrived.
'Hey, Ichika! That's why too sus!' Yotsuba thought to herself as Ichika sat next to Fuutarou. The two had agreed that they wouldn't act suspiciously so as to not weird out their sisters, and most importantly not weird out their tutor. After all, he was a completely different person now, and they decided to get to know him better before doing any advancements.
But it seems Ichika completely forgot what she agreed to. The eldest quint stuck her tongue out at Yotsuba who narrowed her eyes at Ichika's taunt. Fuutarou noticed the silent war, but decided to not say anything lest he embarrass them. Itsuki and Miku joined them not long after, sitting around the coffee table together.
Fuutarou placed a sheet of paper in front of them. Itsuki gulped a little, noticing it was a test paper. She looked up at Fuutarou only to see that he was smiling reassuringly at her. "Don't worry, just answer these and on't overthink too much." Miku stared at the paper in silence. Five subjects, woven together from everything they'd studied so far. An evaluation test, she realized.
Nino then placed a bunch of cookies and snacks on the table, a satisfied smile on her face. "C'mon guys, eat!" She ordered as her sisters immediately dug in.
"Itadakimasu..." Miku whispered before slowly munching on a cookie. She looked at Fuutarou not digging in and handed a cookie to him. "Fuutarou, have one. Nino's the one who made it so it's definitely delicious." She called. Fuutarou smiled at her gesture and grabbed the cookie from her hands.
"Man you're right, this is the stuff." He smiled at Nino. "You're great at this, Nino." Nino huffed proudly, smirking at his praise. But then she blinked and back up as Miku was suddenly up in her face.
"But why did you take my gym clothes without permission huh?" Miku asked.
"I-i didn't want to get my clothes dirty while baking."
"Aprons exist for a reason you know..."
"Th-the one we have is ugly! Hey cut it out!" Nino shouted as Miku started tugging on the tracksuit, forcefully trying to get it off her sister. Fuutarou couldn't help but chuckle at the scene.
"This is what it's like living here..." Ichika muttered, smiling all the while before glancing at Fuutarou. "You're not weirded out by this are you?"
"Nah, it's funny."
"What's the passing grade, Uesugi-kun?" Itsuki asked, a bunch of cookies in her left hand while holding the pen on her right.
"50, and don't stress about it alright?" Itsuki nodded before she took out her red glasses and wore it. 'That just makes her cuter.' He thought to herself as now Itsuki had a serious aura to her as she started answering his quiz.
"Hmm, I suppose I'll answer it too." Ichika yawned before she took her pen, staring at the test paper. 'Wait... Is this, his handwriting?' Ichika secretly glanced at Fuutarou. Did her tutor write the whole thing himself just for them? Don't printers exist for a reason? Ichika couldn't help but feel a little motivated. If her tutor was putting in the effort, she should at least try and match it.
"Don't worry Fuutarou-kun, I'm going to answer this right now!" Yotsuba declared confidently. Fuutarou smiled at her. "Do your best then, Yotsuba." She grinned before looking down at the test paper, before realizing the same thing that Ichika did moments ago. The ribbon wearing girl blinked, before a serious expression took over her. She needed to do her best.
"Hey, you say you like my cookies, but why aren't you eating them?" He looked to see Nino sitting beside him. How'd she get there without him noticing? He couldn't help but admire her style. Butterfly shaped ribbons on both sides of her head, nicely painted nails. And the perfume, he could get lost in it forever.
"Well I ate before I came here. But I think I'll take some home later if you don't mind. They are really tasty." Fuutarou muttered, grabbing some more out of goodwill. Nino smiled, cooking was one of her strong suits, and anyone who appreciates it is in her good books. But not this time, definitely not this guy in front of her.
"Well I'm glad you like them, Uesugi. By the way..." She stared straight into his eyes, her entire demeanor changing immediately, her gaze once a joyful one now completely replaced by a menacing glare.
"What kind of deal did you make with papa?"
Fuutarou, initially surprised by the change of attitude, quickly gathered himself. He shrugged nonchalantly. "Eh, nothing special really. Just that he'll pay me 5 times the market rate if I teach you five and get you all to graduation." Fuutarou explained truthfully, literally this was all there was to it.
"Boring deal right?" He smiled at her a little.
"Hmm...Well to be honest with you Uesugi, we don't need a tutor at all." At Nino's statement, the rest of her sisters immediately stopped working on their tests and stared at her in disbelief. Nino internally smirked, maintaining her menacing look on Fuutarou. Hook, line and sinker. Now he's scared and won't come back—
'Why is he smiling?' Nino realized something was wrong, veeeerrrryy wrong.
"Haaa??? You don't need a tutor eh?" Fuutarou grinned at her, dangling a test paper in front of her. He stared straight into her eyes, grin fading.
"Come and prove me wrong then, Nino...."
To be continued...
(be honest though is the romance too fast? I'm just making Fuutarou a nice guy who enjoys cute girls.)
