"So I heard you and Yamagishi started a website creating business." Mitsuya commented.
"Oh that? That's was Yamagishi's idea. He's handling the creative part, I'm just handling the advertisements and finding customers in place like Fiverr. We're making good money though. So far we've made about 5 thousand US dollars in profits. Gotta give it to Yamagishi though, he's really good."
"Geez, and in US dollars too? You guys are richer than me."
"Ah don't give me that crap. You make triple the income we do. You've got celebrities endorsing your brand."
"They're not big time celebrities, Fuutarou. Just local influencers."
"Ah, shut your mouth, you're too humble for your own good." Fuutarou snorted.
"You're the one who should shut your mouth, Fuutarou. You're the richest one out of all of us with your NFTs out there." A lot has happened in Fuutarou's life. Aside from his income working at Shinichiro's place, he decided to venture into new territory with the things he was good at.
"I got lucky, that's what it is. If my drawing skills weren't good I would've probably never even had the money to begin with."
"Ahhh shut your mouth mannnnn."
" I hate you sometimes." Fuutarou grumbled. It was then they noticed a group of people approaching them.
" Yo Fuutarou! Sorry if we're late, got caught up with traffic." Baji greeted with a grin, alongside him was Kazutora and Chifuyu, a close friend of his and the vice captain of Toman's First Division.
Fuutarou waved him off. "Nah we were just getting started." He replied as he fist bumped them. They all sat down together with Baji opening up a new topic.
"So, second year of high school. What are you guys' thoughts?" Baji immediately went to the deep stuff. Kazutora shrugged.
"Nothing much. But I am pretty excited to transfer to Fuutarou's high school though, I wanna see what an elite high school is like."
"Huh? You too, Kazutora?" Fuutarou tilted his head at the guy. Why does everyone want to transfer schools all of the sudden.
" Yeah, same with Chifuyu and Baji too. They're transferring after the midterms."
" What, is studying at Asahiyama High the new trend now?" Chifuyu shook his head with a chuckle.
"It's not that. I'm entering cuz it'd give me a higher chance of entering a good university. I still plan to study psychology after all. I have the grades to boot, so I'd enter Asahiyama fairly easily. Same with the three of them." Chifuyu explained. The man was committed to becoming a therapist, particularly due to his love for animals.
"Yeah, I scored big time in my finals exam last year. Thanks to your nightly study sessions with the gang. I'd think if I get more As in my midterms this year, I can safely transfer to Asahiyama without a problem." Baji explained. Fuutarou nodded as he listened.
Baji was proof that Fuutarou's plans for the gang were the correct thing to do. The man wanted to become a veterinarian just like Chifuyu, also due to his love for animals, even going so far as to planning with the man to open a veterinary clinic together.
"I don't think I have a problem in the grades department per se... but I can definitely do better in some subjects."
Baji rolled his eyes. "Stop being humble, dude. You got straight As last time, what's there to improve?"
"Oh so I can't improve now? If you didn't know, half of my subjects were 1 mark away from being a B, I think there's plenty of room for improvement, considering what courses I wanna take in university in the future."
"Either way with a scoring consistency like yours you'd definitely get accepted to transfer." Mitsuya commented. Kazutora smirked in return.
"Yeah, with it I'm one step closer to my goal." He muttered. They nodded in understanding. They still remembered the way Kazutora's father treated him and his mother. The boy reflected, and realized that tons of families are in similar situations, and the youth will be seriously affected. So now, he plans to study sociology and criminology, specifically the juvenile justice course.
"Let's work hard then, I'd certainly like for us to be in the same school again." Mitsuya commented. The future Mitsuya wanted for himself was obvious, being a fashion designer. He planned to take the fashion and business Course in university in the near future.
"I can't wait. It'd definitely nice to have my friends with me."
"What, you still don't have friends there?" Baji scratched his head. Fuutarou shrugged.
"I don't know what to say to be honest. A few months in during last year I stopped searching for new friend groups to join. A lot of rumors about me started circulating."
"It's normal. They don't have lives of their own. High schoolers are crazy like that." Chifuyu shrugged.
"I overheard some guy making fun of me for doing homework."
"They're just jealous of your achievements, simple as that. You got the looks, the grades and the confidence to boot. People are just insecure that's all." Chifuyu patted Fuutarou's back.
"Nevermind them Fuutarou, just mind your own business. Saves you energy. By the way, where's Draken? And Pah-chin and Peh-yan? I thought we invited them to hangout too?" Mitsuya questioned. Baji sighed.
"Pah and Peh are busy with their own start-up. Draken got dragged away by Mikey last minute. Mikey's been doing that a lot recently, although Draken should just stop telling him where he's going all the time. I kinda feel bad for him." He explained to them. Kazutora sighed as he laid down on the grass, staring at the clouds.
" Can't he just say no? Or does Ken not realize that he has the right do that?"
"That's the problem. He can say no, but he can't. You know how cranky Mikey can get when you tell him no. It's like saying no to a child when they ask for candy." Baji grumbled. The group stayed silent, having experienced that before.
"Speaking of Mikey, me and mitsuya were discussing about him just now." Kazutora raised an eyebrow.
"Let me guess, it's about how inflated his ego's gotten." He smiled a little as Fuutarou nodded silently.
"So it's not just us then..." He sighed and ran his fingers through his hair. "We can collectively agree that Toman is practically useless for anyone who actually wants a future right?" Everyone nodded at Kazutora's statement.
"Adrenaline, status, and mythology, that's all it brought. We might've wanted that back then, my immature self included, but I can assume that everyone has gotten out of that phase?" Fuutarou questioned.
" Long ago, bro. I actually never wanted to be in the gang in the first place. Practically got threatened by Mikey to cut me off from you guys if I don't join. Y'all weren't there at the time, but boy did he ragebait me." Kazutora admitted before he looked at Fuutarou.
"We're not trapped in this dangerous fantasy, Fuutarou, most of us aren't. Why'd you think we collectively decided to transfer schools? Like it or not I have take care of my mom in the future, how's the gang going to help me do that?" Kazutora ranted.
"I'm going to assume Draken feels this way?" Mitsuya questioned. Baji chuckled.
"You guys wanna know something funny? He's gonna ask out Emma for the Summer Festival." Fuutarou snorted.
"Whaaat? Nah you gotta be joking. Since when did the dense Draken realize Emma's feelings for him?"
"He actually has been liking her for a while now. When I say that, I mean he's been liking her for years. Only now he realizes that she actually likes him back."
" Well I wish them luck." Fuutarou muttered at Baji's explanation. Baji smiled a little before he had on a serious gaze.
"Back to what I was saying. Draken sees the gang's disbandment as necessary. You know how and where he was brought up right? Due to that he just wants a good life. Even he's studying his butt off now. But he won't be transferring schools though... bummer..." Baji grumbled at the last part.
"Well someone's gotta keep Mikey in check. I think he's the only person who voluntary hangs out with Mikey." Mitsuya commented.
"I think Ken can enter a good college or university. I mean he does want to be a civil engineer so he kinda has to." Kazutora commented. Fuutarou groaned as he stood up.
"Ah enough about this! I wanna go eat!"
They went to a burger place....
