"And this is our late king.He died in war while protecting our homeland."My attending maid,as i was told,say's pointing at the painting of a ruthless looking men.
Mina was introduced to me by Hayden.He said she will be my attending maid and always be with me.
After spending a sleepless night in my new chamber at they call it here,i asked Mina to show me around this morning.
I realised the more i kept thinking about what had happened the more i felt like i was going crazy.
After all how often do you find yourself in a fairy tale like world?
"Late king?Then is he Hayden and Rhett's father?"I ask curiously,finding no resemblance between them and the men in the painting .
Hayden has blond hair,golden eyes and god like features while Rhett has lavender Grey eyes, black hair and kinda devilish features even though they literally have the same face.
The men on the other hand look's nothing like them with brown eyes and black eyes.
"Yes,he is our crown prince and second prince's father.Both prince's took after their mother thus you might think that they look nothing like the late king."Mina say's and i find myself getting more curious.
"Really?Which one is the queen's painting?"I ask looking around at the hundreds of pictures hanging on the wall.
To give birth to such godly beautiful son's ,she must have been a great beauty.
Mina looks a little awkward as she smiles."The queen's painting isn't here.These are all the paintings of the members of royal family who has passed away."
"But Hayden and Rhett's paintings are also here."I say pointing to the biggest paintings on the opposite wall.
My heart flutters a little and i look away.
Even their painting has their own aura and look so beautiful.
"T-that…forgive me for lying your highness.It's just that speaking about the queen is a taboo in the palace.The crown prince has forbidden everyone from speaking about her."Mina say's bowing slightly,sounding nervous."I am sorry your highness,i shouldn't have brought this up."
"Hey hey,it's okay.You don't have to bow or apologise.I wont tell anyone.We are cool yeah?"I say pulling her up gently.
She looks utterly confused at my words."Cool?What's that?"
I mentally slap my forehead.
Of course she doesn't know what cool means.I am in another world and one that's still in ancient times.
"It's just..something my people say when we talk casually.It kinda means it's okay."I try to explain and she nods."I heard your highness is from a kingdom that's very far away from here.Did you come for the crown prince's selection ball?"
I laugh awkwardly."Uh yeah,i was actually just visiting a nearby kingdom when i heard about the selection ball.So i came to take a look."
"I am so envious your highness.You and the two prince's are brought together by fate.We would have never expected our future princess to be from so far away."Mina say's like an excited teenage girl.
I chuckle seeing her excited like."Are the Crown prince and Second prince really famous among girls?"
She nods in approval."Our crown prince and the second prince has always been famous among ladies since their childhood.Be it in our kingdom or other kingdoms.Many princess's have sent marriage proposal's but they were never accepted."
"Why?I am sure there must have been a few good candidates."I say
"There were.Specially Princess Adel and Princess Maya.They have been trying to catch the prince's eyes for a very long time.But it was of no use.
"Why?Did the prince's never have any girlfrien-i mean lovers?"I ask,probing a little,wanting to know about them.
"Not that we know of.It has always been a rule of the royal family of our kingdom that a royal member must marry his soul mate.He can not be with anyone expect his mate.That's also the main reason why other kingdom's marriage proposal's were never accepted."She explains and i nod slowly.
So they can't marry anyone else except me?Why does that make me feel happy?
