After the family lunch, Hiruzen and Raiki went back to work.
Biwako stayed for tea, but she left soon after.
"Mom, I'm going to take a nap."
"Sure thing," His mom replied as she was doing the dishes.
Once Sasuke was alone in his room, he created a shadow clone and sent it to find wind chakra somewhere.
And just as luck would have it, the clone didn't need to go far. His uncle, Asuma, was training inside the clan compound training grounds.
'He seems to be trying something new.'
Sasuke, who had developed so much more control over his own chakra, was effectively invisible to Asuma. It also helped that Asuma wasn't a sensor.
'I see. He is trying to fight like grandpa. He keeps using shadow clones along with fire and wind ninjutsus. That is the closest thing to a kekkei genkai that a normal shinobi can achieve; combination ninjutsu.'
The shadow clone kept watching for an hour before Asuma was tired.
'Thanks for the gift, uncle,' The clone thought before it burst into smoke
Sasuke, who was napping in his bed, was woken up by nano
'How long was the clone out for?'
[1 hour 14 minutes and 43 seconds before it dispelled itself]
Sasuke then felt the knowledge from his shadow clone appear in his mind
'So he got lucky and watched Uncle Asuma. He even saw him use a B-rank fire style: Ash Pile Burning. He tried to spread the ash wide with B-rank wind style: Dust Cloud Technique. Very smart! Both techniques would synergise really well together. Sadly, he doesn't have grandpa's chakra volume; he ran out too early'

'Yeah, I thought so as well. How long would it be?'
[35 minutes]
'That is really short'
[Chakra coils are already enhanced. Most of the adjustments are done thanks to the previous body adjustment. Gaining wind chakra affinity doesn't require much work.]
'Alright, let's do it'
Sasuke fell asleep right after that
35 minutes later, Sasuke woke up
'Nano, now that I have all seven affinities, can we mix them? I've been wanting to use elemental kekkei genkai'
[Theoretically possible. Not enough data.]
[Possible solution: Run chakra simulation]
'Oh, so you would try to find the answer on your own, instead of copying it from someone else?'
[Affirmative. Most knowledge needed to start the simulation is already acquired. Higher level chakra theory would help]
'Well, when I pass Dad's test, I will have access to the highest level of knowledge the clan has to offer. You can start for now. I will get to the third level of the library soon.'
Nano, being the best cheat anyone can ask for, got to work right away with the simulation.

Over the next week, Sasuke paid a visit to the library, just to keep up appearances. He already knew more than enough to pass his dad's test.
Nano had been running the chakra simulation in the background, but progress is slow.
'I have to get to the third floor soon'
The day after the deadline, Sasuke was standing in one of the clan's training fields. His dad is standing opposite him.
"Alright, Sasuke. I hope you're ready"
"I'm ready, Dad."
"So, you have to explain to me one of the three main jutsu types. Ninjutsu, Genjutsu or Taijutsu. So, which will it be?"
"Ninjutsu," Sasuke answered confidently.
"Good. Our clan is known for having high mastery over ninjutsu. Most Sarutobi shinobi are ninjutsu specialists"
"I know," Sasuke nodded his head.
"Good, you may start. Tell me, or demonstrate your understanding of ninjutsu"
"Ninjutsu is one of the three main jutsu categories. Ninjutsu is the most nebulous of the three, and may most simply be described as anything that is not genjutsu or taijutsu. Most ninjutsu require chakra and hand seals, but this is not always the case since the mere usage of weaponry qualifies as ninjutsu as well"
"Good, you memorised a book" Daiki gave his son an unimpressed look on his face "That is nowhere near enough to access the third floor"
Sasuke didn't respond to his dad. Instead, he put his hands in his pockets and pulled out six practice kunais. Three in each hand.
Sasuke then launched all six at the targets on the nearby trees
Daiki, standing nearby, squinted his eyes. He can sense the wind chakra on all of the kunais.
"Wind style: Rotating Kunai Jutsu," Sasuke said out loud
'I'm only saying the name of the jutsu out loud, just so dad knows what I'm doing. I'm not doing that in real fights'
The kunais curved unnaturally midair and headed straight for the targets.
Just as the kunais were about to hit their targets, Sasuke weaved more hand signs.
"Fire style: Fox Fire Jutsu"
Six small fireballs manifested in front of Sasuke, and he then launched them at the kunais.
The fireballs travelled faster than the kunais. The moment the kunais reached their targets was the same moment the fox fire jutsu reached the kunais.
And then there were six explosions. The wind chakra reacted violently when the fire reached it. This caused the fire to expand rapidly, destroying the targets.
'This kid is crazy! He used Rotating Kunai Jutsu. It's a jutsu that wraps the kunai in wind chakra, which could be used to control the trajectory of the kunais. He then used the fox fire jutsu. It creates a small fireball that can also be controlled by the caster'
Raiki moved his eyes to the destroyed trees.
'The fox fire jutsu doesn't cause explosions; it's too weak for that. The rotating kunai jutsu also doesn't cause explosions. He combined both and caused a change in the effect of the jutsu. Holly shit! Dad was right. He is a damn genius'
"You look surprised, Dad! Did I surprise you? How awesome am I? I know that was cool, right?" Sasuke was practically jumping around at this point.
'This is not my first time using ninjutsu. I even used the shadow clone jutsu a few times to practice secretly. But showing off like this is cool. Nano had shown me an avatar of myself practising all of this as well, but doing it in real life is so much better'
"I'm impressed, Sasuke. How did you achieve this?" Raiki walked closer to his son
"Well, I studied the chakra theory on the second floor. I then learned all the jutsus I could find. I thought it would be cool to use two weak jutsu to create a strong effect"
"I saw that. I mean, what were the inner workings of the jutsu?"
"Oh, I just had the wind chakra expand outwards very fast when it heats up. That happened the moment the fire chakra interacted with it. I also willed the fire chakra to compress fast when it interacted with the wind chakra"
"I see. Those opposing forces caused pressure to build up, and when one of the two lost. It caused the explosion. Very smart, Sasuke," Raiki had a huge smile on his face.
'He did all of that in one week. And he is only three!' Raiki turned to the six trees that had been destroyed 'I saw it with my own eyes, but I can't even believe it'
"So, Dad, can I go to the third floor?"
Raiki looked at his son. 'I can't say no, I promised him. Even if I can say no, do I want to? This, along with the speed I saw back in the library. The kid is already stronger than most genin. He is intelligent enough to handle himself. I shouldn't stop him'
"Yes. I grant you entrance to the third floor of the library"
"You can grant me access to the third floor? I thought only an elder of the clan, or grandpa, could"
"Yes, an elder, or the clan head, could. But also the heir to the clan can"
