Raiki and Sasuke arrived at the library. The place was dead quiet. No sound from outside made it in. Contrary to what Sasuke believed, the place was not dusty; it was actually spacious, clean, and well-lit.
There was a table in the center of the room. There were six bookshelves surrounding the table in a hexagonal shape.
"You are not allowed to copy or take anything out of here. When it's time to leave, you just follow the same passage we came in from. The exit doesn't require hand seals; you just push the lever, and it opens automatically. Don't stay late and worry your mother; you should head back home before lunchtime."
"Sure thing, Dad."
Daiki gave his son a pat on the head before he left.
'Alright, nano. There are around a hundred books here. We should be done with this in no time.'
But just as he was about to start scanning, one of the shelves caught his attention.
'This one looks newer.' Even without Nano telling him, he was able to see the signs. The other shelves, though strong and sturdy, were clearly more withered with age.
Sasuke noted the difference but didn't think about it too much.
With that, Sasuke started scanning all the books he found. And it took him a total of 35 minutes to scan the whole place.

Sasuke gained the knowledge that Nano had scanned. Even prior knowledge that he acquired from earlier floors was corrected again.

'What is the change?'
In his vision, he saw the familiar blue interface. Nano shuffled through manuscripts before it stopped in front of one in particular.
Sasuke read the name and knew exactly the contents of this manuscript.
'This is the one from the land of snow. It has some theories on how to mix water and wind chakra to create ice release. Most of those theories are untested or tested with no real results.'
[Affirmative! Chakra coils adjustment available. Higher chance of mixing chakra internally]
Sasuke sat on the only chair in the room and leaned on the table. 'Alright, start'
Nano put Sasuke to sleep right away and started changing his body.
Sasuke woke up an hour later. He felt a huge difference physically; he also felt way more sensitive to chakra.
He had an understanding of all seven chakras. He memorized the katas for the advanced taijutsu style he found. He memorized many sealing and medical ninjutsu manuscripts along with theories on other topics like chakra transplantation, negative and dark chakras.
'I can perform sealing and medical jutsu, though my performance is purely mechanical. It's like the difference between hand-drawn art and a printer. My seals will be 100% exact replicas of each other. Same with my medical technique. This should be fixed over time with experience.'
He even found a copy of the Senju clan sword style. It actually has two variations, one for a heavy broad blade and one for a lighter weighted sword.
'It makes sense. I remember Hashirama used a massive sword against Madara. And Tobirama made the thunder god sword for a reason.'
After some more thought, Sasuke asked nano to simulate two avatars fighting using the sword style. One with a heavy sword and the other with a light-weighted sword
Even though he was watching two faceless holograms fight, it was incredible in its own way. No jutsus were used, just the sword styles. Both avatars had the same exact level of mastery, speed, strength, and reaction time. The only difference was the swords they wielded.
The fight happened a dozen times or so, and it always ended the same way. Both were so evenly matched that they both ended up killing each other.
'Should I just go home already? I've been here for about two hours' Sasuke thought as he looked at the clock on the wall. Eventually, Sasuke decided he should just go home. 'No need to stay here any longer.'
As Sasuke was getting up, his eyes landed on that newer shelf. He sat back down.
'The newer shelf contained some history regarding the Sarutobi clan and the village.'
Sasuke thought back to the newly gained knowledge.

Long before the founding of the Leaf, the Sarutobi clan were close friends with the Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi clans.
Actually, they were more than just friends; they had a teacher-student relationship.
The founder of the Sarutobi clan had taken in three talented students. Each of those students went on and established their own clans, the Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi clans.
As a way for all four clans to maintain close ties during the chaotic warring period, it became a tradition for a Sarutobi to teach the future heads of each of the three clans.
While the Sarutobi clan had this teacher-student relationship with them, the Sarutobi clan themselves were somewhat of a subsidiary clan to the Senju clan. It was for this reason that the Sarutobi joined the Leaf village immediately after it was founded. They were following the Senju clan. And by extension, the Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi clans followed them.
It wasn't just the Senju clan that brought with them their friendly clans. The Uchiha did the same; they brought with them the Fuma clan.
But there is more to it. The anime made it seem like it was all simple and straightforward.
Some of those books are copies of documents, signed by the first and the second Hokage.
Though most of it was done during lord first's time, I suspect it was all the work of lord second.
There were mentions of the Chinoike clan as well. It seemed like Tobirama wanted to invite them to the Leaf during its founding, but he went and invited the Hyūga clan instead.
According to the records I read here, it said that the Chinoike clan was originally from the land of lightning. A woman from the Chinoike clan married the land of lightning's daimyō and became his second wife. The daimyō's first wife was extremely jealous, and when the daimyō passed shortly after his second marriage, the first wife had lied and put the blame on the second wife and the Chinoike clan.
She was believed, and the Chinoike clan was hunted down and ultimately forced to escape the land of lightning. The first wife then hired the Uchiha clan to hunt them down, even outside the land of lightning. After many battles between both clans, the Chinoike clan was pushed to the valley of hell in the Land of Hot Water.
But here is the funny part: Tobirama wanted them to join the village, purely because of their history with the Uchiha clan.
The more I read about the records left by lord first and lord second, the more I agree with what Madara said about Tobirama.
Madara had called Tobirama a delegator.
At first, I thought it was praise by Madara, but now I see what he really means.
Tobirama wanted to pass off some of that pressure and rivalry between his clan and the Uchiha.
He understood that the only way to achieve that was by having a second clan that competes with them in their specialty, another clan that possessed a Dōjutsu.
Tobirama wanted to get the Chinoike clan. It seemed like a win-win situation. The Chinoike clan had powerful abilities, and they had bad blood between them and the Uchiha, but when he sent someone to check them out, they came back with morbid news.
Whoever went there saw them drinking blood. I know it was mineral-rich water, but the ones who saw it didn't investigate further.
When Tobirama got the news about their seemingly morbid practice, he immediately concluded they were practicing some forbidden jutsu.
He even wrote down some theories on what that forbidden jutsu could be. Leave it to Tobirma to make very valid theories about a forbidden jutsu just from eye-witness accounts.
Anyway, maybe because of their seemingly forbidden practices, or because they were low in numbers, or maybe because he had second thoughts about the friction that would happen between them and the Uchicha, possibly all of those reasons led Tobirama to consider a different clan, the Hyūga.
The Hyūga were originally in the land of Water. Which surprises me. That wasn't mentioned in the anime.
Now that I think about it, the Hyūga inherited the Visual prowess of Hamura, and the Kaguya clan inherited his physical abilities. Similar to Hagoromo and the Senju/Uzumaki and the Uchiha. So it makes sense that the Hyūga and the Kaguya had the same rivalry and lived near each other.
Anyway, Tobirama wanted to have a second Dōjutsu clan in the village to pressure the Uchihas, so he invited them.
And from the copies of letters exchanged between Tobirama and the Hyūga clan leaders of that time, Tobirama was just throwing Hashirama's name around.
I mean, he's the God of shinobi for a reason. And thanks to that, the Hyūga agreed to join the Leaf.
But fearing the Uchiha would abuse their position as a founding clan and pressuring the Hyūga clan into submission, Tobirama created a new title: Noble Clan.
At first, I thought the Yamanaka, Nara, and Akimichi were noble clans as well, but I was wrong. They are shinobi clans, not noble clans. Even the Sarutobi clan is just a shinobi clan, not a noble one.
To give the Hyūga clan a chance in the political scene, Tobirama used his big brother's influence and gave the Hyūga clan a noble title.
Thanks to Lady Mito getting married to Hashirama, the Uzumaki were also given a noble title in the leaf village. Though they were the founding clan of their own village.
That was a small history lesson on what transpired during the founding of the villages. But what does all of that mean?
It means there was plenty of information being exchanged between clans. Classified intel, and techniques.
And that's what led me to these manuscripts I read today.
(A/N: If you look online, it says there are four noble clans. Those are: Aburame, Akimichi, Hyuga, and Uchiha. The Four Noble Clans thing is a fanon idea that originated from a translation mistake in databooks. That wasn't even Kishimoto's concept. The first databook and fanbook have a pair of very similar articles talking about ninja clans, and use those four as examples. Later, this was misinterpreted as "noble clans".
I'm changing that, and taking out the others and leaving only the Hyūga and Uzumaki clans as noble clans. The Uchiha, along with the Senju, are founding clans, which is a slightly higher position than the noble clan position. The rest are shinobi clans, which are slightly lower than the noble clan position.)
