"A genius beyond his years, you said." Raiki looked at his father with a deadpan look.
"His antics don't lessen his potential." Hiruzen countered.
Hiruzen and Raiki were looking at a sleeping Sasuke. He didn't have a book in his hand, nor was he sleeping under a pile of books like a hard-working student, no. He was using a few C-rank jutsu books as a pillow while he was asleep on the floor in one corner of the library.
"I don't even know how to deal with that. I never slept on the floor of the library before." Raiki looked at his sleeping son
"You fell asleep in the academy a lot, though," Hiruzen added offhandedly.
Raiki promptly turned to his dad with a look of horror on his face, "You knew about that?"
"Of course, I knew about that," Hiruzen said with an amused look.

(1 Hour Earlier)
'And that should be the last one,' Sasuke thought as he rolled up a scroll and put it back.
[Affirmative. All books and scrolls have been scanned and cross-referenced with earlier data.]
[Inconsistencies detected and corrected]
'I can tell that the library's second floor is meant for shinobi only. There were a lot of jutsus, though they were all C and D-rank. I copied them all nonetheless.'

'That is an easy fix. I will send clones later today to observe more people practicing.'

'For what? I didn't observe anyone using any techniques. It's just theoretical knowledge.'

Sasuke felt the same sensation; he was used to it. It's not pleasant nor unpleasant, it's just a sensation. It lasted for 20 seconds.
All the knowledge in the first and second floors of the library was in his head now. Perfectly memorized. He even fixed some minor theories about some things regarding the human body.
'How long would the body transformation transfer take?'
[One hour]
'Should I go back home?' Sasuke stretched his body 'It's just an hour. I could just sleep in one of the corners.'
Sasuke, feeling tired after reading a whole library floor, coupled with the fact that he didn't eat lunch, decided to be lazy and snooze in one of the corners for an hour.
'Alright, nano, you can start,' Sasuke gave his command after he sorted himself out in one of the darker corners of the library.

The hour was finally up. Sasuke woke up and stretched his body. His chakra coils have improved to the very peak. They are thicker, cleaner, and more refined. The chakra flow alone made him feel stronger physically as well.
"Good thing you woke up, I was about to dump cold water on you."
Sasuke jumped to his feet. Startled, he jumped back.
'What the hack, I just woke up! Nano, we should fix this flaw. I can't get caught unprepared like this again.'
Sasuke knew who the voice belonged to before he even landed from his jump.
"Hey, Dad," Sasuke started shakily, "I've been studying so hard all day."
'Damn, why did I say that? Now he will not believe a word I say.'
Sasuke looked at his dad's face. Safe to say he's in trouble
"Oh, really? What book did you read today?"
Sasuke grabbed the nearest book in panic, "This one."
'Damn, now he for sure thinks I'm lying. I mean, what dad would see their son asleep in the middle of the day and believe they were studying all morning?'
That's when something caught Sasuke's eye.
"Grandpa" Sasuke ran to Hiruzen's side
"How have you been, Sasuke?"
"I've been well, Grandpa. I visited you yesterday, but you were busy."
"Sorry about that, Sasuke. But I have some time now. Tell me how your studies have been. You looked hard at work when we arrived here."
Sasuke can feel the mockery rolling off his grandpa
"Don't make fun of me, Grandpa!"
"Hahaha! From what your dad told me, you argued with him to come here." Hiruzen said as he stroked his goatee.
"I did, and I'm happy he let me, I just took a power nap," 'and I'm not even telling a lie.'
"Sasuke, go home and tell your mother that we will eat lunch together."
"Yes, Dad!" Sasuke didn't even wait for a second before he took off
"Did you see that, Raiki?" Hiruzen finally spoke up after Sasuke was gone
"Yes, I did. I caught him off guard, but he jumped back many feet. I even felt his chakra rile up, almost like he was ready to launch a jutsu at me or something."
"I told you," Hiruzen said with a knowing look, "His antics don't lessen his potential."
"So did he actually learn something from the library, or is he just wasting time lazing around here?"
"There is a way for you to find out."
"How?" Raiki looked at his father with a puzzled look
"Wait till the week is over," Hiruzen said as he walked towards the exit
Raiki just shook his head before he followed.
The two walked for a short while before they reached the biggest house in the entire compound.
Raiki knocked on the door. A short while later, a servant opened the door.
"Good day to you, Lord Raiki," The servant said with a bow
"Is my mother home?"
"Yes, she is my lord."
"I'm here to see her."
A minute later, Raiki was standing in front of his mother
"Raiki, I'm glad to see you."
"Hello, mother. Did you eat lunch yet?"
"No. The servants are almost done preparing it, though. I was about to send your father his lunch."
"Actually, father is going to have lunch at my house, and we came to get you too."
That's when Biwako noticed her husband standing a little further away.
"Alright, let's go."
With that, all three started making their way towards Daiki's house
"You smoke too much, Hiruzen."
"Stop nagging me, will ya?"
"I just don't like you smoking around my grandchild. It's bad enough that I couldn't stop you from smoking around the kids." Biwako was as stern as ever
"Fine," Hiruzen reluctantly put the pipe away. He was a smart man. Never fight when you are guaranteed to lose, regardless of what you do.
Raiki started walking faster, hoping to get home before his mom picked on him.
"-guess what, Mom? I read so many different books about so many different things. I know more than any shinobi in the village," Sasuke said enthusiastically.
"Oh, my Sasuke is the biggest genius of all." Raina played along with Sasuke's enthusiasm.
"Of course I'm a genius."
Sasuke's proud voice could be heard from the front door
"I think I'll smack that boy," Raiki couldn't help but shake his head
"Like hell you will," Biwako stared daggers at her son
Raiki just shook his head in defeat even more. An elite jōnin, anbu captain, and the oldest son of the third hokage, yet he will always lose to his mom.
"We're home," Raiki pushed those thoughts aside as he entered the house
"Welcome home, darling." Raina then turned to her in-laws, "It's a pleasure to have you join us today."
"Of course. Raiki told me that Sasuke wanted to see me. I couldn't ignore my grandchild." Hiruzen smiled
"Unlike this old man, I see my grandchild without a reason," Biwako said as she stepped forward.
"Grandma!" Sasuke hugged his grandma.
Biwako, for the first time that day, had a smile on her face
"You were never like this with me," Raiki complained
"I raised my son, so I can spoil my grandson. You do all the disciplining, I'm here to spoil him. Besides, Sasuke is a good boy; he doesn't give me a hard time like you did," Biwako said as she hugged Sasuke and then picked him up and walked deeper into the house
For the first time in a long time, Hiruzen ate lunch with his family. Not in his office, while reading reports that made him feel a knot in his stomach.
