All the students were asked to wait in the reception area as they tried to take attendance, to make sure no one else was missing.
Charlotte pressed closer to my side. "Where were you last night?" she asked. "I was looking for you after what happened with Agnes in the cafeteria. Who would've thought she'd turn up dead hours after."
A chill passed through my entire body. "I was in the bathroom trying to wash the food out of my hair."
She looked at me. "How did you manage to get it all off? Did anyone help you?"
My fingers instinctively went to my curls, heavy on my head. I remembered the way Madeleine's fingers had threaded carefully through them, the pressure on my scalp soft but firm.
I'd moaned in satisfaction, the relief I felt instant. She for sure knew how to use her fingers. I felt my cheeks start to heat up when I remembered how they'd pumped in and out of me.
I didn't realize Charlotte was still speaking until she tapped my shoulder, bringing me out of my daydream.
