I immediately sprang up and stood in front of the man. She had the same look on her face from last night, and I knew she was ready to end the inspector's life right there.
"Don't do it!" I screamed, hoping it'll help her snap out of her anger. "We're in public. This won't end well." Killing Owen in broad daylight, at the police quarters, was unredeemable. I didn't want her to get in trouble because of me.
She snarled even though her canines had retracted back to their normal length. "Give me on good reason why I shouldn't end him right here and now."

"But he hurt you," she replied, like it was enough reason to kill in the day. To her it was. But she'd already killed a lot of people because of me.
