"Evie!" I yelled as the man started to stalk towards me, hoping that she would come back for me. But I heard nothing.
The others ran away and I was left there on the floor with my scrapped knees.
"Looks like your little friends have left you," their leader said. I could smell the stink of his breath from where I was on the floor.
"I'd rather kill myself than let you lay your filthy hands on me," I retorted. That only earned me a round of cruel laughter from them.
I tried to push myself up but fell back down, crippling pain shooting up my legs. I was in deep trouble. And the chances of the others calling for help was zero to none because then the Matrons would know they'd snuck out.
There was no way out for me except through these filthy men.
"Come on little girl…"
"Don't be shy…"
"We promise to make you feel good…"
All of them taunted me, then laughed amongst themselves like I was an inside joke.
