One Week Later...
Inside a sunlit office at Tokyo Jujutsu High, Satoru Gojo leaned back in his leather chair, a file folder stamped with the official Zenin clan crest resting in his lap.
An amused, cocky smile spread across his face as he flipped through the pages.
"So that little brat actually ended up taking the throne in the end," Gojo chuckled, tossing the file onto the desk. "Ha! A six-year-old Clan Head. The higher-ups must be having a collective stroke."
Sitting across from him, Shoko Ieiri leaned against the window frame, taking a long drag from her cigarette before exhaling a cloud of gray smoke. She squinted at Gojo through the haze.
"Gojo, are you really sure you actually saw Mahoraga?" Shoko asked, tapping her ashes into a tray. "Or are those Zenin bastards just fabricating a massive cover-up story to hide the sheer embarrassment of getting beaten up by a first-grader?"
"Oh, he tamed Mahoraga alright," Gojo replied smoothly, sliding his sunglasses slightly down his nose. "How surprising is that? But honestly, the even more surprising part is right here in the report—it says he beat Naobito into a pulp using a second innate technique."
Shoko paused mid-puff, her eyebrows raising. "A second technique? As if taming the Divine General wasn't ridiculous enough... Wait."
She flicked her cigarette, her eyes narrowing. "That massive spike in wild, high-grade cursed spirits popping up all over Japan this past week... the higher-ups assumed it was a global reaction to your awakening."
Gojo's smile widened, though his blue eyes flickered with a rare sense of genuine intrigue. "Yeah... turns out there's another monster in the crib. Honestly? If all the information in this report is accurate... I don't even have full confidence I could beat him right now."
Shoko stared at him in dead silence for three full seconds before shaking her head. "You're joking."
"What an absurd world, right?" Gojo laughed out loud, leaning his hands behind his head. "Doesn't matter to me though! It just means I have to push myself to get even stronger. Anyway, come on, Shoko! Let's go pick out a ridiculously obnoxious congratulatory gift to send to the new Clan Head!"
The Zenin Estate's New Normal
BOOM!
Wood splinters exploded outward as a body shot violently out of the main living quarters, flying across the courtyard and crashing shoulder-first into a thick stone wall.
"You disgusting creep! Leave me the hell alone!"
Megumi stepped out onto the wooden porch, wearing a pristine, high-grade white silk kimono tailored specifically for his six-year-old frame. His small face was twisted in absolute disgust.
Down in the rubble, Naoya Zenin pushed himself up, casually dusting off his dark hakama.
Instead of being furious or embarrassed about being kicked through a wall, Naoya's face carried a distinct, unnatural pink blush. His sharp eyes shined with a bizarre, manic sense of fanboy adoration.
"As you wish, Clan Leader!" Naoya called out eagerly, bowing dramatically at the waist. "Please, if you ever require anything at all—just command me!"
Without waiting for a response, Naoya turned around and scampered off down the corridor like a delighted puppy.
Megumi stood on the porch, his hand twitching violently.
Is that motherfucker actually BLUSHING?! Megumi thought, a chill running down his spine. Should I slim this crep?!
He raised his hand, seriously contemplating using a Graphene-infused fist to erase Naoya's existence from the timeline. But after a second, he let out a heavy sigh and dropped his arm.
As disgusting as Naoya was in the original anime plot, he hadn't actually done anything to offend Megumi in this life. In fact, the guy was frighteningly, unconditionally obedient. It seemed Naoya's infamous fanboy worship of Toji Fushiguro had completely transferred onto Toji's son.
Ugh... gross, Megumi shuddered. Whatever. I don't care about the Zenin clan, but if I start killing the few people who actually obey my orders, who's going to do the grunt work around here?
Truth be told, after taking over the Zenin clan, Megumi's daily life hadn't changed all that much.
Being trapped in a six-year-old body meant he couldn't enjoy his life right now.
Megumi's goal for the near future was simple: train his body, refine his Osmosian absorption traits, get comfortable stacking his shadow buffs, and lay the groundwork to enjoy a completely lazy, ultra-luxurious lifestyle later in life.
While taking a casual stroll through the outer training quarters of the vast estate, a faint, high-pitched crying voice caught Megumi's attention from beyond a bamboo grove.
He paused, tilting his head. Changing his direction, he walked silently toward the sound.
"F-Father! I-I didn't mean to slop... Please don't hit me anymore!" a young girl's voice sobbed desperately.
"Shut up, you useless piece of trash!" a harsh, raspy male voice roared back, heavy with drunken rage. "Because of you weak, talentless girls, I could never become the Clan Head! You're an absolute stain on my name!"
Inside a small dirt courtyard, Ogi Zenin stood with his face contorted in a bitter, ugly scowl. He raised a heavy wooden practice sword high above his head, channeling cursed energy into the wood, intending to bring it down with all his might onto five-year-old Mai, who was cowering on the ground.
A few feet away, young Maki stood frozen in fear, tears welling in her eyes, completely helpless to stop her father.
Ogi gritted his teeth, his arms flexing as he swung the heavy wooden blade downward toward Mai's head.
BOOM!
A sudden, overwhelming shockwave exploded through the courtyard.
Before Ogi's wooden sword could travel three inches, a massive, unreadable blur slammed violently into his ribs.
CRACK!
Ogi's eyes bulged out as he was blasted straight off his feet like a cannonball. He flew ten meters through the air, smashed through a wooden garden trellis, and tumbled violently across the dirt like a broken ragdoll.
Mai, who had her eyes squeezed tightly shut, bracing for the agonizing impact, opened them in shock when she heard the deafening boom.
For a split second, where her father had been standing, she caught a glimpse of a towering, ten-foot-tall pale white humanoid shadow that had materialized.
"F-Father... turned into a monster...?" Mai whimpered, her tiny voice trembling violently as she scrambled backward on her hands and knees. "Maki... run!"
Mai turned to grab her sister, but Maki was standing completely still, staring down the garden path in utter awe.
Mai followed her twin's gaze.
Walking slowly out of the bamboo grove was a young boy around their age. He wore a pristine, high-grade white kimono, his hands shoved casually into his sleeves, his face carrying an expression of cold disdain.
Though neither Maki nor Mai had met him personally yet, the entire Zenin estate had been buzzing for a week with terrifying rumors about the new six-year-old god-king of their family.
Instinct took over. Both young girls immediately dropped to their knees, bowing their heads low to the dirt.
"C-Clan Leader!" they called out in trembling unison.
Megumi completely ignored the twin girls for the moment, stepping right past them toward the far side of the courtyard where Ogi was groaning in the dirt.
Ogi, shaking off the daze of having three ribs cracked in an instant, pushed himself up onto his hands and knees. But when he looked up, he saw the terrifying aura of Mahoraga floating directly behind the six-year-old boy.
Cold, icy sweat instantly drenched Ogi's back. His heart hammered against his ribs like a trapped bird.
Swallowing his saliva hard, Ogi tried to force an authoritative, stern tone into his trembling voice. "C-Clan Leader... What is the meaning of—"
THWACK!
Ogi didn't even get to finish his sentence.
Before the words could fully leave his mouth, Megumi stepped into his guard. Having absorbed the dense, heavy molecular properties of a massive granite boulder near the garden path, Megumi's gray-tinted fist buried itself straight into Ogi's stomach.
GUUUK!
Ogi's eyes bulged out of his head until the veins nearly snapped. All the oxygen was violently purged from his lungs in a single second. He doubled over, clutching his gut as every internal organ in his torso screamed in sheer agony.
It felt like he had just been rammed by a speeding train made of solid, reinforced stone.
Megumi stood over the wheezing, suffocating man, looking down at him like a piece of garbage stuck to the bottom of his sandal.
"You ugly, useless bastard..." Megumi said, his childish voice icy and razor-sharp. "Who the hell gave you permission to speak to your Clan Leader in that tone?"
Megumi lightly nudged Ogi's bleeding nose with the tip of his boot, a cold, mocking smirk touching his lips.
"And a pathetic weakling like you actually thought you had what it takes to compete with me for Clan Head? Don't make me laugh."
