Chapter 15 - Coming

Sezavield Rateil.

An empire that has endured for thousands of years.

With a deeply rooted system of nepotism, the founding family continues to live in prosperity, never once touched by outside interference.

Connections built over thousands of years have made this empire seem like something that cannot be overthrown.

Millions of people serve it.

Some for profit, some for loyalty, the rest for pride and security.

Above all else, there stands an elite among elites, the Quiet Guardian.

They are fanatics, descendants of distinguished families from the Inner Dominion, guardians of the Sezavield Rateil bloodline, passed down from generation to generation since the ancient era.

For most people, Sezavield Rateil is a world wonder.

No one knows how the empire came to be. It is as if it simply stood there.

Perfect, solid, and rooted in nothing.

Some believe it was born through divine intervention.

Some call it the result of forced labor by ancient slaves.

Others speculate that the empire was built from a pact between humans and demons.

However, all of those views are wrong.

According to the leader of Grey Lurk, Sezavield Rateil was not established because of a miracle… but because of 'emptiness'.

The empire was built by the global elite upon an inexplicable base of 'Void'.

Whether through magic or through a power that surpasses human logic, one thing is certain… the establishment of Sezavield Rateil has never been comprehensible.

As discussed by Guiver and Reigh, 'emptiness' is not something that can be understood.

Neither is Sezavield Rateil.

When asked why all the world's views about the empire were wrong, the leader of Grey Lurk merely replied simply.

"Why bother thinking about that? It is emptiness. And emptiness is nothing more than a waste of time."

Guiver himself was also skeptical of it. After all, he did not believe in the Void.

He also held the same view, "Why think about that?"

Even though the leader of Grey Lurk stopped thinking about 'What is emptiness?', he still believed in the 'Void'.

Making the two of them aligned, yet opposed.

I don't understand at all what is in their minds.

One day had passed since the conflict with Grey Lurk. The time showed morning.

Right now, I am in a room that has been prepared by my followers for me.

Inside this room, I was carrying out my next task so that my followers would not feel anything strange about me.

Since Guiver controlled my body, the way they looked at me felt somewhat off.

As if there was a sense of fear when they looked at me. I didn't know the reason for all that. Was it because Guiver's presence and mine are indeed different, even though we use the same body?

I don't know. The more I think about it, the more incomprehensible it becomes.

"This letter is correct, right?" I asked Guiver.

"Yes." He replied briefly.

According to the previous plan that we had to send a letter to the people of the Inner Dominion. A letter containing a threat, written as 'The Judge Will Come'.

"Who is this addressed to?" I asked him again. "Does it really have to be entrusted to Nine?" I added.

"They're Assassins," Guiver answered, "Even if the letter is placed at the edge of The Caste Wall, there will definitely be someone who reads it."

"Is it really that easy?" I replied, "Isn't The Caste Wall impenetrable?"

Guiver chuckled, "You're naive, kid…" he said softly, "The world system cannot be understood by ordinary people."

I let out a breath, "Haaa…" I began folding the paper reluctantly, making it like letters in general.

I saw something on the table, "Is this seal used too?" I asked.

It was a wax seal with the symbol of the city of Geaz. Used as a marker that the city of Geaz was the one sending the letter.

"No need," Guiver replied. "Just make it anonymous."

I immediately agreed with that opinion.

However, Guiver interrupted again. "Eh… I think it's better to use that seal instead."

"Hah?" I was confused by his way of thinking. "What do you mean?!"

Guiver grinned. I could feel that he was putting on a sly face. "To make it more interesting."

"I want to see…" His voice sounded extremely sly, "What they will do…"

"You're really strange." I grumbled.

Reluctantly, I did what he wanted. I began sealing the letter with the Geaz city seal.

After I had done it, "Come out." I muttered to the empty air.

When I said that, several women and men suddenly appeared, lined up in front of me.

Without a sound, without any reply, without any expression.

"Send this to Nine, ask her to send it to the Inner Dominion." I said softly, placing the letter on the table.

Without a single word, the letter I gave was immediately taken by one of them, and then they disappeared again.

They were all Nine's subordinates. Based on the order of the Grey Lurk leader, he had lent some of Nine's subordinates to me.

As for Nine herself, after everything that happened and being beaten up by me, she was now at the Grey Lurk headquarters to gather with the other members of Grey Lurk.

As an addition to our cooperation, the leader of Grey Lurk himself also offered to train all of my 'Silent Warrior' followers, who number around 70 people.

That happened when Guiver used my body. He was truly an expert in negotiating very profitable terms.

To be honest, in a cooperation, both sides should benefit equally.

But in this current condition, it is actually us who benefited. That made me feel mixed between happy and unhappy.

I stood up from the chair, *Thud. "Where are you going, kid?" Guiver asked curiously.

I cracked my neck, *Krek. Krek. "It's time for revenge on that traitor." I muttered, replying to Guiver's words.

I could feel that he was now smiling broadly in silence when I prepared to leave.

I picked up the documents that had been given by the Grey Lurk leader.

After taking what I needed, *Tsshh… I immediately disappeared toward my target.

Reigh disappeared, moving swiftly toward his target.

From Reigh's room, the story slowly shifted to a strange room, somewhere unknown.

Inside that room, there were two people talking about their business.

*Brak!. The sound of a table being slammed echoed loudly throughout the room.

It was followed by a loud shout, "Why is your work so slow?!" shouted one of the men sitting in a luxurious chair.

With his head lowered, the man in front of him said in a trembling voice, "S-Sorry, sir… Finding goods is getting more difficult."

"Difficult?!" The seated man replied, "If anyone refuses, just kill them!"

The man being shouted at replied, "Yes."

*Tsk. He clicked his tongue, "Go." The man gave an order.

With that order, the man in front of him immediately jogged toward the door and quickly left the room.

*Kerchak.

As he walked down the hallway, he muttered angrily, "Kill, he says?! Damn trash traitor."

"It's been 7 years since the shop head died…" He stared blankly ahead, "Is his child doing okay?…"
