Chapter 10 - Welcome

*Bugh! Bagh! The sound when I punched their stomachs was very clear.

Because they were Assassins, they did not wear iron armor because they were too confident in their speed.

*Clink. Clank. Several daggers they were holding fell, their hands clutching their stomachs as they staggered, enduring the pain.

I stopped moving,

"AGAIN! AGAIN! WHERE! HURRY HERE!" I shouted along the corridor.

My eyes looked around,

In an instant everything went silent. Only the sound of my footsteps and my own breathing echoed through the corridor.

Some of them were still trying to stand up with groans of pain.

"Is that still not enough?!" I vanished from in front of them, and I punched their stomachs one by one.

*Cahk... Kahkkk... Groans of pain came from their mouths.

Some people sat leaning against the wall in pain. The wall behind them cracked from the impact of their own bodies. "Damn—" one cursed weakly, *Hukkhh. Vomiting blood because his stomach had been hit by me.

I stopped in the middle of all of them. "You're... Assassins?!" I mocked.

Disappearing again, now I was in front of the middle-aged woman whom I considered their leader. I gripped her neck tightly. *Akh! "Let go, bastard!" Her breath was gasping. "You are not polite to a woman!" she shouted breathlessly, trying to break my grip.

I stared at her with wide and serious eyes, "So?! I have to kneel to you bastards who have been stalking me all this time?!" I shouted angrily.

[He... is insane!]

[Even though... He's been slashed and stabbed many times... Why? Why?!]

My hand was still gripping the middle-aged woman.

[Aaaahhhh... I can't take it... anymore...]

"If you're really afraid of getting hurt..." I said deeply, "Then don't become Assassins. Just lie down instead." I added, lowering my voice and whispering something. "Beginners."

From behind me, "You're careless!" someone shouted.

*SREETTT... I didn't have time to turn around, "Huh?! Why did my view turn downward...?!" I still had awareness, even if only for a moment, looking around.

Assassins really are great, even though I had coated my whole body with 'Mana', they could still injure and slash me.

Fast movements, directed and deadly attacks, silent, not long-winded. Everything was in them.

However...

A smile was carved on my face even though my head had been completely severed. "Heal." I said in my heart.

"A—..." A voice was heard from behind me, as well as from the woman I was gripping.

Suddenly, my vision returned, right in front of the middle-aged woman.

I started to laugh, "HAHAHAHAHA! KHAHAHAHA!" Turning around, looking at the person who had cut off my head from behind.

I saw that her face grew more and more frightened. "Even if my head has already been cut off, if I still have a bit of consciousness for a fraction of a second..." My eyes stared sharply at her, making her more afraid. "I can still regenerate my head even without speaking."

The woman who slashed me immediately sat down trembling without words.

[He... He... He's a monster... More than a monster...]

The dagger she was holding had also slipped from her grip.

I didn't care about that,

I looked again at the middle-aged woman I had been gripping this whole time. Sweat flowed down her temple, her breathing became heavy because of my grip. "Fo... Forgive... us..." she said weakly. Her tears flowed from holding in the pain, the look in her eyes showed that she had already given up.

Guiver shouted at me. "Let go, idiot! Our source of information will die!"

I wanted to loosen my grip, but I was truly shocked at what I saw and heard from her next.

The woman smiled, bringing her face closer, *Krekek. She began to whisper, *Guuuh... Huuuh... "Welcome... O Toodes..."

My vision went blank, my hand immediately released its grip, the middle-aged woman I had been holding instead went limp and fell instantly.

*Bruk... The sound of her body hitting the floor, perhaps she fainted.

"Hah?! What does that mean?..." I wondered in my heart.

I really didn't know what she just said. My vision was still blank, trying to understand it.

At that very moment, a shout was heard. "Sir! Are you alright?! We heard the sound of fighting in the dining hall!" he shouted.

I snapped back to my senses, "That... Zero's voice?..." I murmured.

Now, all of them who were running towards me were seen wearing full equipment such as armor and weapons.

If I remember correctly, what they were using was the armor and weapons of the soldiers of this mansion.

"But, weren't all of those already cut?! Where did they get them from?!" I asked Guiver.

I began to forget what I had heard from the middle-aged woman. Assuming as if I hadn't heard it was probably the best choice.

Guiver only replied slowly, "Look again, the ones wearing that are only the people in front."

"They must have chosen what was still usable, and then used it as protection for the people in front." he added.

I nodded, "Hm... I see." I stood in the middle of the Assassins who had collapsed in this corridor. "Yes, I'm fine." I said to Zero who approached me first.

Zero's face looked very pale, he immediately knelt in front of me. "P-Please forgive us... Sir... We do not have fighting ability... so we had to equip ourselves first." said Zero who was kneeling in front of me.

I raised my eyebrow, truly not used to someone kneeling in front of me. "It's fine," turning around, "Stand up." I said half-murmuring.

Zero was still reluctant to stand, I glanced at him and then at the Assassins. "Hold them all, I want to go to the treasure room first." I said softly to him.

Hearing my order, he immediately stood up briskly. "Yes!"

"Ah... Before that..." I stretched out my hand toward all of them. "Sociel." I said softly.

Slowly, the bodies of the Assassins were wrapped by something that looked transparent but still visible.

All of my followers, including the Assassins who were still conscious, were immediately shocked. "W-What is this?!" asked one of the Assassins, trying to break free.

*Aaarrgghh!

"That is wind thread... The more you try to break free... The more your skin will be eroded." I replied curtly, immediately walking toward the treasure room.

As I walked, Guiver babbled. "What do you think about my contribution?!" he asked.

"What?!" I snapped.

But Guiver still tried to classify something. "Be grateful to me! With my computer, all your power is above everything." he said proudly.

"Haaah..." I sighed.

It's true that all the knowledge of my power right now all comes from his computer.

About a week ago, when I was training magic in the forest and before I got trapped in the ravine for 4 days, he continuously stuffed me with things about magic from his computer.

The computer could access everything about magic and also things that were useful to me. Whether it was basic magic, offensive, restraining, buff, etc... All knowledge about magic continuously entered my head without stopping.

"But that ability is inside my body!" I retorted angrily.

But Guiver just grinned. "Heeeee?! Ungrateful." he replied mockingly.

Hearing his mockery, I tried to be patient. "Aaahhh!" I clicked my tongue, "Fine... Thank you." I said half-heartedly.

Guiver chuckled in satisfaction, "Hahaha! You're welcome!" he replied.

And to train all the magic that had entered my head, I kept training hard before finally falling into that damn ravine.

But at that time I had not truly mastered healing magic yet, because it was the most troublesome magic for me.

On the computer it was written that healing magic would only activate when the user was truly at the brink of death and still had the will to live.

"Akhh..." Even though I tried to forget what Toodes meant as said by that woman, it still stuck in my head.

After she wakes up, I will ask her directly.

The metallic smell of blood coming from my body became even more piercing to the nose. They kept cutting my body until even my clothes were left only around the groin.

I stared at the ceiling with an empty gaze... Honestly... I do not know who made all of this... "Is this... Part... Of God's... Plan?" I murmured in my heart.
