'I was not even away for 20 minutes, but the air in here has changed. Why is no one paying attention to me? Just where are all these people looking?'
Their lack of interest irritated me, but I tried to pay it no mind. However, there was one pair of eyes I was not able to avoid- that fake Jennas. It made me shiver.
But just as quickly as they had looked at me, they looked away as well.
I turned toward Karl, wanting to instruct him to find out what happened. But he stood frozen by my side as well. His wide eyes told me that he would be useless from here on.
So it fell on me to check what happened.
The first thing I looked around for was Anabella. As the host of the party, she was the more important person. But she was nowhere to be seen.
