I was about to enter when he pulled me by my hands and asked me to come, I don't even know why, but I followed him and then we entered his Rolls-Royce Phantom and then he drove off.
" Where are you taking me to?" l asked but there was no response, so I ignored him till we got to his destination, and was surprised it was his house. Then I asked why he brought me here and then he said he wanted to talk to me. So I said "Okay."
He got out of the car and came to open my side of the door and helped me out of the car. Then we walked to the door, he opened it with his key and I was surprised to see that no one was in his house, so we went straight to his room and I was wowed, so clean, big, well furnished and it smelled just like him.
I sat at the side of the bed then he asked me if I wanted anything but I said "No". Then he came close to me and started caressing my fingers then he said gently
" Baby, baby I'm so sorry, I honestly don't know what came over me but I wasn't just myself, you know I would never intentionally hurt you."
"But you did, and I would never forgive you for that" I said, almost on the verge of crying.
"To tell you the truth, I was at the club yesterday when I saw Amanda and then I remembered she was your friend so i called her over to our table, I was with Sam and some of my friends, so i asked her how you were doing and if she thinks there is a possibility that you might also be in love with me" he said hurriedly.
I twitched my mouth and asked "So what did she say?"
"She said that you are not
in love with me, that you always bragged to her on how you have me at the back of your finger tips and how you were going to keep using me for my money and then when you are done you'd move on with who you love, so i was so angry that i kept drinking and then told her not to come back to the dorm tonight." he said with his voice shaking.
" But after I woke up in the morning I regretted it so badly, that's why I left before you woke up and then I felt so bad that's why I avoided you in school, and when you came to my dorm."
I gasped for air after hearing what he just said. I couldn't believe that Amanda would say something like that about me. Okay, I didn't reciprocate his feelings openly but I never said I hated him or thought of him in that manner. I loved the way he cares about me and he also treated me like a princess, i love his looks, his smell, how masculine he is but I hated the way he bullied others and sleeps around which I've made clear to him several times as the reason why I won't be his girlfriend and that was my only issue. So I couldn't understand why Amanda would fabricate such lies against me.
"I can't believe she said these" I answered but I was so stunned to even say anything else.
"She even said there is a guy called Liam whom you like and you are having sex with but after the whole thing that happened that night, I'm sorry I believed her, I didn't know you were a virgin, I'm so sorry baby" he said still caressing my fingers.
" There is no justification for what you did and I would never forgive you and Liam is my coursemate, I only speak to him when I have some difficulty with some courses, Please take me back to my dorm" I said and then stood up to leave.
"Baby, what can i do to make you forgive me, i'm so sorry, i swear l would make it up to you, i know that there is nothing i will do or say that will take away the trauma i've caused you but please give me a chance to prove myself to you, I'm so sorry," he said almost in tears.
"Matheo, there's nothing you will do that will make me forgive you, just take me back to my dorm and please do not ever speak to me again" I said angrily and headed towards the door, He opened the door and then drove me back to my dorm. When we arrived while still in his car, he held my hands and then slowly moved his hands to my face, and then he leaned towards me and said "Baby, I love you okay, I'm sorry." he whispered.
" Ehhehhn, before I come down, what were you doing with Amanda today both in school and in my dorm?" I asked and then he smirked and asked why I was asking but I told him to forget I asked him that, and then I hurriedly opened his car and went to my room. When I got to my room Amanda was not around so I just ate and went to sleep.
The following morning, I woke up and saw Amanda arranging her things in the room, so I just lay on my bed debating in my mind if I should confront her or just ignore her. I thought about it for a while and then I decided to ignore her. Only for Amanda to tap me gently to draw my attention and then she said she wanted to talk to me.
