Chapter 2: If One Isn't Enough, Make It Two

Just as he'd expected, not only had he instantly learned all four ninjutsu, but his proficiency with them was already at the maximum level. Yuri Kai could clearly feel that, if he wanted to, he could create a clone right now without even using hand seals. That was a feat only an Elite Chunin or stronger ninja could accomplish. Even a genius like Sasuke Uchiha couldn't perform the [Clone Technique] without hand seals at the Genin level, yet Yuri Kai could.
"Awesome. This is just too awesome!"
This system was completely heaven-defying. Not only could it summon characters from other dimensions, but it also had a [One-click Comprehension] function. Could it be any stronger?
Yuri Kai was so excited he almost jumped into the air. He had originally thought that landing in the world of Naruto, a place where practically everyone had some kind of cheat ability, was a tragic fate. But now, it didn't seem that way at all.
So what if you all have cheats? You think I don't? With this system, what are Madara Uchiha or Kaguya Otsutsuki? They're just punching bags waiting to be one-shot.
"Just wait until I reach the Super Kage-level," Yuri Kai mused. "I'll summon Kakarot and have him wipe you all out with one Spirit Bomb!"
"If one isn't enough, I'll just have him throw two."
Yuri Kai was in high spirits, feeling a sudden, powerful urge to go and completely wreck the Naruto world.
Just then, Iruka Umino and the other students ran over from the sidelines. Iruka asked in shock, "Yuri Kai, was that just... the [Summoning Technique]?"
"Huh? Oh, right. Ahem, yes, that was the [Summoning Technique]."
Yuri Kai was momentarily stunned, but he quickly recovered. He gave a few dry coughs and confirmed it. He hadn't even had time to think of a cover story, and Iruka had just handed him the perfect one. He really felt like he should thank him.
But on second thought, the system's character summoning did look a lot like the [Summoning Technique].
"Alright, it's decided. From now on, I'll use the [Summoning Technique] as my excuse."
Yuri Kai made up his mind, but Iruka's very next words almost made him fall flat on his face.
"But... don't you not know any ninjutsu?"
"I don't know any ninjutsu?"
Yuri Kai was baffled. He was in the world of Naruto. How could he not know any ninjutsu? Was his body type like Rock Lee's?
The system's explanation immediately sounded in his mind.
It turned out that the original Yuri Kai, before the transmigration, truly couldn't use ninjutsu. His chakra was pitifully weak. He was the dead-last of the dead-lasts, worse even than Naruto. He was the undisputed number one from the bottom, an object of universal scorn.
The "combat" assessment just now had been a special taijutsu-only admission test that Iruka had fought hard to get for him. But unfortunately, he had run into Instructor Mizuki, who had a serious grudge against him and had decided to use the exam as an opportunity to cripple him.
That, in turn, led to the scene that had just unfolded.
Understanding the backstory, Yuri Kai's mouth twitched.
"What kind of ridiculous setup is this? Why the hell couldn't he use ninjutsu?" he complained internally. "I'm obviously a genius, okay!"
But since he had the system now, Yuri Kai had no intention of continuing to lie low. He smiled faintly and said, "Instructor, I've learned ninjutsu now. What you just saw was the [Summoning Technique], performed by me."
The moment Yuri Kai finished speaking, before Iruka could even reply, a wave of sneering laughter erupted from the surrounding students.
"You? You know ninjutsu? Don't be ridiculous!"
"You're trash! In the six years since you enrolled, you haven't successfully performed a single jutsu. Now you suddenly say you can? Who are you trying to kid?"
"A dead-last is a dead-last, and you'll always be a dead-last!"
"You don't even blush when you lie. How thick-skinned can you be?"
Mocking voices came from every direction. Almost everyone was looking at Yuri Kai as if he were an idiot.
Yuri Kai paid no attention to their ridicule. He simply swept a pitiful glance over them and then ignored them completely. They were just a bunch of nameless nobodies, not even on Mizuki's level. Why would they be worthy of his attention?
A few of the more perceptive students from prominent clans, like Shikimaru Nara and Shino Aburame, gave Yuri Kai a longer, more meaningful look.
Even Iruka's eyes were filled with disbelief.
But in the very next instant, a new scene unfolded that made every single person shut their mouths, their eyes widening in stunned silence.
"Instructor, I don't think I'll need to graduate through the special taijutsu admission," Yuri Kai said, shrugging. "The regular exam will be just fine."
[Clone Technique]!
Poof!
Yuri Kai simply spread his hands, not even bothering to form a hand seal. In the next second, the white smoke cleared, revealing a figure standing beside him that was his identical match.
If that wasn't the [Clone Technique], what was?
"The [Clone Technique]! He... he actually used the [Clone Technique]!"
"How is that possible? I thought he couldn't use ninjutsu!"
Everyone was completely floored, their jaws hanging open. The eternal dead-last, the kid who supposedly couldn't use ninjutsu, had just performed the [Clone Technique]!
What shocked them even more was... they were pretty sure Yuri Kai hadn't used any hand seals.
My god, performing the [Clone Technique] without hand seals! That was something only an Elite Chunin or higher, with an incredible level of mastery, could do!
But Yuri Kai, who hadn't even graduated from the Ninja Academy, had just done it. How was this possible?
Was this really the same dead-last they mocked every single day?
Shikimaru and Shino's pupils contracted. They had sensed that Yuri Kai had changed, but they had never imagined the change would be this massive.
Standing at the very edge of the group, Sasuke's eyes flew wide open.
Performing a jutsu without hand seals: even he, the acknowledged number one genius of the class, couldn't do that. But Yuri Kai had.
Could it be... that Yuri Kai was stronger than him?
"Impossible," Sasuke thought, his gaze turning cold. "That's absolutely impossible!"
Unable to accept that someone else was stronger, and especially unable to accept that an eternal dead-last was now stronger than him, Sasuke subconsciously clenched his fists.
Iruka was also staring, wide-eyed in shock. As his instructor, he knew Yuri Kai better than anyone. Yuri Kai absolutely could not use ninjutsu. If he could, Iruka never would have gone through all the trouble of applying for a special taijutsu admission for him.
But the facts were...
This...
Iruka's mind went blank.
"Instructor, this counts as passing, right?" Yuri Kai asked calmly, dismissing the clone.
"Ah? Y-Yes. Yes, it counts."
Iruka snapped out of his daze, though his eyes still flickered with unconcealed shock.
"Hehe, great. In that case, I'll be heading back."
Yuri Kai chuckled, paid no mind to the stunned crowd, and turned to walk away.
The moment he turned, the system's voice rang out again.
[Ding! Main Quest: Graduate from the Ninja Academy, complete.]
[Reward: Genin Quick Level-up Card]
[Use now?]
"Use!"
Suddenly, Yuri Kai felt a wave of heat surge through his body. It was followed by an indescribable sensation of power. He felt as if, right at this moment, he could knock over a bull with a single punch.
"So this is the power of a Genin? The world of Naruto... is certainly interesting."
