Lara woke up to the sound of someone yelling.
Her brows furrowed into a frown as she tried to figure out what was going on and why such a loud noise was being made.
Blinking her eyes open wearily, Lara yawned as she sat up. She had slept well, which was surprising considering how much of a ruckus she caused mere hours ago.
Now that she wasn't too emotional to figure out her feelings, a wave of gratitude slammed into her. She felt grateful to Curtis for providing every single thing she asked for.
He didn't care that it was in the middle of the night. He got her every single craving she wanted.
And he stayed. He didn't leave even when Lara started throwing a bigger tantrum. Curtis waited in the room with her even when she started throwing stuff at him, yelling at him to leave.
He stayed.
And that realization made her heart warm. She really should find him and say thank you.
But then, all of those things that he did, he didn't do it for her, right?
