Lara waited up for Curtis, but he didn't come home even after the day grew dark and the night grew darker.
She had no specific reason for waiting up, perhaps except to ask him why he kissed her with such hunger.

When the rays of the sun pierced through her room's curtains, Lara yawned and sat up.
She rubbed her eyes open, feeling slightly refreshed from sleep. Lara was about to go downstairs for a cup of water when her eyes fell on a figure sitting on the single chair in her room.
Curtis.
His expression was unreadable, and Lara wondered how long he had been in her room, watching her sleep.
Before she could stop herself and think about what she was about to say, the words flowed out of her mouth.
"You do know that breaking into someone else's room and watching them while they slept is a creepy thing to do, right?"
Curtis raised a single eyebrow at her words.
