Chapter 2 - Warrior 2: Slippery Slope and a Hole

"Huff Huff Puff Puff" tredging to descend down upon the mountain, the Warrior maneuvered his weary, tired, scruffy body around the rocky terrain, avoiding some sharp edges, or slippery slope or surface to avoid falling in, especially with his visions obstructed by heavy cloud formations in front at the peak of the mountain. Along the way, he made sure to check his equipment occasionally as he descends by nudging them lightly; Sword on his back, attached by belts and straps, his adventurer-like outfit while covered in an overbearing white cloak, and small leather bags carrying ration, papers, and various stuff like identification.

"Come on! Im not done yet!" He exclaimed despite the weakness of his voice, drowned out by the cold, powerful winds at the top. It is to motivate himself, and declared that he is not done yet, no matter how much nature threw at him, he dared not to give up. "Giving up? Who said about giving up? Im just getting started! Come on, Ethan! Who are you talking to?! You probably must've gone crazy already!" He took more seemless yet careful steps around the pavements presented below before him as he slowly started to talk to himself, to combat the madness of loneliness and the static noises of the cold wind entering his ears ever since.

"Hup! Hah! Heup!" Groaning as Ethan climbed down still "... Kuagh!!!" His feet accidentally landed on a slippery slope before slipping his way down, making him move erratically before panicked strucked his body and mind in the fit of the moment. His sense of balance disappeared, his mind gone empty for a moment, and his vision hazy and obstructed.

"Hiii!" the young man with a weary look shouted with a voice full of fear, echoing across the peak of the mountain, reverberating even for how loud he was. He moves his hands over and over as his body was dragged down, slipping across the slippery slope helplessly "No! No! Not like this!" his eyes and mouth wide open, his brows rigid tight, his complexion sour and pale, and his fingers bled lightly at the tip of the nails as he tried to hold onto the edges, yet missing his mark.

And before Ethan knew it, he was already falling down.

"Eh?" his grab was missing, far pushing the proximity he deeply held his body onto.

In a matter of a few seconds, his entire life flashed before his eyes, but the only ones he could see are the memories of the bad ones. 'So, is this really the end? Is this how my miserable existence is gonna end?' He suddenly slowly felt his senses slowing down at an astronomical rate, allowing some of his last thoughts at the present moment to be featured before he fell into his demise. 'Dammit! If could've done it all over again, i would've! But, fuck it, there's no point in it anymore...'

"..."

"..."

"Fall already!" Out of nowhere, he swiftly raised his head in annoyance and waiting, only to realize his body lying safely from a wide ledge of a rocky surface.

"Oh? I guess not today." He felt the cold, hard, rocky platform, and found his body still safe, him alive, yet a bit hurt from falling a short height as he saw above the mark.of his trail where he previously hanged and slipped, his consciousness still there, all his limbs attached and unharmed. "Phew, that was embarrassing, haha." Ethan heaved a sigh of relief before laughing with a mocking smirk to himself. He weakly stood up, and fixed himself, before noticing something. "Grrr..." he heard a small growl echoed not just in his ears, but it vibrated throughout the whole surrounding.

"Hmmm?" he turned around and came face to face with a large hole covered in total darkness. A cave enormous in its entrance, 'Something must be lurking inside' he thought abruptly.

Ethan stood blankly for a good few seconds, staring at it, before coming to a realization when he saw two dots of light looking back at him. "Oh fuck!"

A large ball of bright orange was produced from the middle, at the far reaches of the darkness before coming into fruition as a hot scorching wave of flames, taking away all the cold in his body to be replaced with a shower of blazing heat. "BAAM" A defeaning sound echoed across the peak of the mountain as a massive ball of fire engulfed part of it.
