Chapter 3 - Healer 1: Inexperienced Healer

It was dark and bleak deep inside, the flickering of the lights from the lanterns they carry barely lit up the surroundings, heavily obstructing their views from looking any further across. Sounds of the unfathomable yet familiarity continue to echoe in the ears of 10 adventurers venturing inside a cave. Suddenly, out of nowhere, "BOOM" a particular sound, a loud explosion took their ears. In the form of a sonic boom that traveled across the cave, and shooked the whole place like an earthquake were noticeably felt by everyone. "What was that?" the Cleric of the group asked with a frightened question, but everyone else simply treated it as it is as they proceeded nonchalantly. The 10 group adventurer consisted of; 5 men among 5 women, whom some classified being; 4 Warriors, 3 Wizards, 2 Tanks, and 1 particular Cleric. "Scary..." the Cleric followed anyway. She adorned a simple simple blue and white cloak over her cowering body, while holding onto a long wooden staff tightly, with shaking hands. She bear a long blonde hair, tied around her head, and her dark blue eyes scanning around their surroundings. Her face was that of a young adult, her appearance was rather kept and clean, unlike some of her more rugged and hardened companions, whom bear the weight of experience and hardness of time.

"First time cave exploring? Don't worry, everyone has their first." a woman with a towering built and height lightly tapped the Cleric's shoulder with her big hand, while the other held a lanter. The woman walked side by side with the Cleric with such ease despite the heavy load she's carrying. Wearing such heavy armor and clothes underneath covering her body, and a large baggage on her back along with a towering sword about nearly the same size as her.

She opened her mouth with a gentle, comforting voice towards the Healer to calm her mind, and gave her a solemn look. The Band proceeded with their trip as usual with no stop and wary in their eyes. The clanking of metals amongst some of their equipments, weapons, and armors reverberated in their ears to drown out some of the more unknown echoes of the dark. The Cleric, having found herself in the midst of uncomfort, heaved a sigh of relief right after. She turned to look back at the one who calmed her down, the female Tank of their small adventurer group. She then decided to initiate a small conversation. "Umm, i hope i would not be too much of a burden, if anything, i will try to my best. Its my first time outside the Cathedral with new people, going on a quest." She tried to then motivate herself with her own words, gripping her wooden staff but with a slight of fear, yet also a sense of conviction to brave her way through the current mission. The female Tank didn't respond, yet she simply gave a simple smile with her veteran-like look as they continued on their walk.

"Still, this is too uncomfortable. What if we don't finish the quest by the night, are we not eligible for the reward then?" the heavy and quiet atmosphere slowly but surely was then lifted up by the bright-like ignorant phase of the Cleric's words. "What if we encountered someone else's quest and accidentally finished it before the supposed ones?" albeit distracting, some of her companion for some reason didn't mind and was rather a bit pleased more than they should be, however, not all of them have the same distinct feeling or outlook towards the Healer's continous blabber. "What if someone else finished our Quest then? The Dragon?" With her last bit of question, the silence between the members of the Band turned noticeably silent more than usual. This in turn angered one od them. "Hey, Healer, shut up! Your voice is annoying!" one of the male Warriors leading the band, right beside their leader who is also a Warrior shouted towards the Cleric at the back rather annoyed in the way he conveyed it in his tone. "Hey, you too, shut up, we're in a cave!" out of nowhere, a female Wizard amongst them then followed against with her words to defend.

The band quickly spiraled towards each other to throw and hurl insults at one another. The silence was like the calm before the storm, it was eerily hushed earlier before the downpour of things. The Cleric's eyes widened as she herself was not used to people fighting amongst each other, she could only be with herself, silent, and feeling a bit guilty for the littlest of reasons.

While the band was in a fit of a loud commotion, they took a turn before two paths that was presented before them. Yet the Leader who was undisputably silent and more concentrated than anyone ever since, widened his eyes along with the Cleric at the back as they saw up ahead in the darkness of the cave were brightly lit, glowing flames that burns on anything it were upon. Along with signs of destruction that barred extremely large holes from all sides, and what was most concerning of all were dead, lifeless body, lying underneath the countless rubbles in a pool of blood.
