Jill knew exactly which surveillance footage Johan was referring to. When those old bastards had kicked her out of that crappy neighborhood, she'd already noticed the camera mounted by the road.
She'd been planning to get rid of that footage before it could damage her perfect reputation. But wouldn't you know it—that asshole had to grab her right at that moment.
Still, Jill figured the surveillance probably hadn't caught anything too damning, so she felt a wave of relief wash over her.
What she didn't realize was that Johan caught the slight smirk tugging at her lips. He studied her carefully, then glanced at the clueless Noah family members standing nearby.
"What's so amusing, Ms. Noah?" Johan's question made everyone's eyes dart to Jill, startling her so badly her mask nearly slipped.
"I—I just got excited hearing we finally have a lead," Jill stuttered, quickly putting on her frightened act and cowering behind Webster like Johan had just threatened her life.
