Chapter 7 - Chapter 7-Teenage

Part 1- Immortal children

On the streets, there were these talented kids, unfortunate enough to not have a place to call home, and no parental figures or guardians to provide them with care or support. At first, the group was small, but over time, they grew in number, and together, they found an abandoned van to seek shelter in.

Before Sam joined the group, they performed covers of other artists' songs in front of street crowds. Occasionally, they would also perform original compositions. Despite the presence of a lead singer named Thorn, Sam established himself as the band's frontman upon joining.

Sam sought to become a one-man band, but his aspirations were hindered. The band already had a guitarist, which limited Sam's opportunities to play. Feeling frustrated, he ultimately decided to quit the band. Thorn, the band's founder, and Sam often clashed due to Sam's perceived attempts to assert control and disrupt the band's unity.

Sam's popularity with girls led to a great deal of attention, which he reveled in. However, Thorn, a fellow band member, was not envious, contrary to Sam's belief. Sam's excessive self-absorption and detrimental impact on the band's reputation ultimately resulted in his expulsion from the group.

All of the band members were passionate about making music, and none of them had any interest in pursuing fame or engaging in negative activities. They found solace and fulfillment in their shared love of music, which brought them together despite their isolation. In a moment of frustration, Sam attempted to form his own band and create his own music. While his music was well-crafted, it failed to achieve the same level of popularity as the new immortal children.

Following Sam's departure, the band introduced several new members: a guitarist, a female lead singer, a female violinist, a rapper, and a keyboardist. Their musical repertoire encompassed various rock genres, ranging from soothing ballads to heavy metal anthems. Thorn, the band's frontman, possessed a remarkable ability to capture the zeitgeist, crafting lyrics that resonated with the world's current events and issues.

Years and years later

Before starting a family with Devin, Michelle, or Izzy, Sam attempted to rejoin his former band. However, his bandmates refused due to his unpleasant behavior. They were aware of his role in the negative incidents occurring in the town of Haze. Despite his efforts to present himself as a decent individual, Sam continued singing alone, deceiving the rest of the town's residents.

Part 2- Dessert bike

It was a hot sunny day as it usually was in the never ending dessert of demos. This man was standing outside wiping sweat off his brow. In the distance was a loud roaring noise. The man then tried to see where the sound was coming from. Like magic there was a broken down road in front of the shop the man was standing in front of.

There was just too much dust to see through. Suddenly there was a sound like a skirting car but then this metal scraping sound was heard. The man was nervous and now scared someone got hurt. He ran closer as the dust cleared he could see blood all over the ground and what looked like guts. "Oh my gods and goddess' I think that person might be dead." the man said out loud.

There was this bike on the ground far enough away from the person that it would not kill them if it exploded. The person had long blond hair and a small physique.

He went straight to the person who at first looked like a girl. "Are you okay?" the man asked, then gently touched the person. It was so weird his breath was now labored he felt a sharp pain in his stomach. His blue eyes were fluttering, slowly opened and closed. He could not move his body. This light seemed to come to him.

He then woke up with a jump in his own bed. His stomach still hurt when he looked down he had no shirt on instead was bandages around his stomach. He looked up to see the person sitting in his doorway. They put their hair back now in a rattail, throwing it behind them. The person then looked up. "You're awake. So the little bit of healing I did actually saved you." the person said.

"You stabbed me?" The man said getting upset and now was coughing. "It was an accident. I was being chased by people who wanted to kill me. You might wanna calm down, you might still cough up blood. I am not that good at healing. Look, I really did not mean to stab you. I realized after I did that you were concerned about me." the person agonized looking sad because of what they did.

"Of… course… I was… worried...your.. Guts…" the man was trying to say but had to keep taking breaths because it was not easy to breathe now." I know my guts were kinda all over the place but I can basically heal myself but I have not learned how to heal others. My bike is wrecked and I kinda wrecked the only person who could fix it" the person told the other putting their hands on the floor then tilting their head back.

"What...is...your...name...i am...chad." the man with blue hair said, panting now out of breath. "Nice to meet you chad? I am Samuel Lee Denver. Most people call me Sam." the person sitting up then smiled. "My...full...name...is...chad-chad…...chadrick...thadeus...washburn." Chad said coughing then panting once it was all said and done. "Chadrick washburn cool But really might wanna be careful. Maybe once I regain my own strength I can heal you all the way up ``Sam said offering a nervous smile.

Chad was coughing even more throughout the day and it got worse and worse. He actually started coughing up blood. This is unknown to Chad but he died and Sam brought him back. By taking Chad's soul before it floated off. His body was sucked into Sam's as he made it so Chad would live. It would be hard giving Chad his own life and making him able to stay outside of Sam's body.

When Chad woke up Sam still looked sad because he knew he killed him and now he had to hold on to Chad's soul and make sure it didn't go anywhere. "You saved me!" Chad exclaimed with a smile. "Yeah." Sam giggled nervously. Only he could see the cord connected to Chad's soul from Sam's chest. "I will fix up your bike now so you can get home." Chad said dashing around grabbing pieces to fix the bike.

"You don't have to do that." Sam said, his bangs covering his eyes. "I know you feel bad about hurting me but you saved me.I feel so much better." Chad said as he started welding parts back onto the motorcycle. He had it fixed in no time flat. "I need to pay for fixing my bike." Sam mentioned, looking up but trying to hide two things from chad.

His bad side and the fact that he was crying. He knew his bad side took over, making him hurt chad. He also knew that he was lying to chad. "You don't have to pay me." Chad said, starting up the motorcycle. "Come on here." Chad said with a big smile. Sam took the helmet then hopped on the motorcycle. "Here." Chad said, giving him a jacket so the sand won't rip his skin off.

Sam drove off chad walked outside to see him off. He rode down the street to the left of the store to come back around. He threw Chad a shack of money. "Take this." Sam said then before Chad could rebuttal he rode off waving goodbye. "Bye Sam." Chad said, kinda waving back as the red clay dust kicked up.
