Chapter 27 - Wizard

In 1991, London, Britain.

In a dark, damp, and dirty alley, Goku's figure slowly appeared.

"What a strange place!"

He looked around, a hint of surprise on his face.

This time, he appeared in another alley, but it didn't seem to be an ordinary one.

On both sides of the alley were peculiar shops.

Some shop windows displayed shrunken human heads, while others hung many giant black spiders.

The overall feeling was eerie and terrifying.

However, this was nothing to Goku.

After all, he had seen stranger and more terrifying creatures like demons, ghosts, and mummies at Baba's Palace, and had even fought Asuras and various imps in the Demon World.

"Gugugu…"

At this moment, Goku's stomach rumbled again.

He had fallen asleep on the plane last night and missed dinner, so he was naturally hungry early this morning.

"Such big spiders, I wonder if they'd taste good roasted."

He walked to the shop on the left, staring through the glass at the black spiders in cages, each larger than a washbasin.

Goku couldn't help but drool a little.

But he still restrained his desire; if these spiders were in the wild, he would have immediately caught and roasted them.

However, this was likely a city, and the spiders were in a shop, meaning they belonged to the shop. He couldn't just take them without the owner's permission.

This was a lesson he had learned over the past few years.

"The Amazonian Fatal Black Tarantula. Its venom can be refined into spider venom potion.

You can secretly put it in the food of the classmate you dislike the most, and you won't have to see him again the next day."

Just then, an Old Wizard wearing a dark wizard robe, hunched over, with wrinkles on his face deep enough to trap a mosquito, poked his head out from the shop entrance with a creepy smile.

"Only three Galleons a bottle, excellent value."

"We don't have any Galleons."

Goku answered honestly.

"Do you still want these spiders after their venom is removed? If not, can you give them to me to roast and eat?"

"Roast and eat? You little imp, are you trying to trick me!"

The Old Wizard's expression instantly changed. He drew his wand from his waist, then thought better of it and put it back down.

"Get out, don't block the way if you have no money!"

Knockturn Alley rarely saw such young Wizards. He had initially hoped to trick him into making some money.

But it turned out to be a penniless pauper.

If this were in the past, he would have sent the other party to hell with a single Curse of Slaying.

But now, he was a Black Wizard with a shop and a family business. If he killed someone in Knockturn Alley and an Auror found out, his business would be jeopardized.

Seeing that the Old Wizard was unwilling to give him spiders, Goku didn't mind. Instead, he politely and humbly asked:

"Grandpa, are there any very powerful and strong people here? I want to duel them!"

"Is this child an idiot?"

Hearing Goku's words, the Old Wizard's face showed a strange expression.

A young Wizard who looked like a second or third-year student wanted to challenge the strongest Wizard in Knockturn Alley? Was he tired of living?

As London's most famous black market, Knockturn Alley saw many Black Wizards with various murder warrants entering and exiting daily.

These Black Wizards, wanted by the Ministry of Magic, didn't mind killing people in Knockturn Alley.

After killing someone, they would simply Apparate away, and the Aurors couldn't catch them.

So, incidents like murder and robbery in Knockturn Alley were not uncommon.

Similarly, Aurors weren't particularly concerned about the murders that occurred in Knockturn Alley; they would just handle them routinely and move on.

Knockturn Alley was the default black market in the Britain Wizarding World; respectable Wizards generally didn't go there.

Most of those who frequented Knockturn Alley were Black Wizards. Black Wizards killing each other wasn't a bad thing for the Aurors.

When you decided to go to Knockturn Alley to buy illegal items, you had to be prepared to bear the risks of Knockturn Alley.

Of course, most of the time, Black Wizards would still exercise some restraint.

After all, it was a rare trading spot, and if it got too out of hand and was shut down, it would be very troublesome.

"Look over there, see that man with the mustache walking out of that shop? He's the strongest one here."

His eyes darted, and the Old Wizard's face showed a sinister smile as he pointed to the shop diagonally opposite.

A middle-aged Wizard carrying a box was just walking out of that shop's entrance.

He knew that Wizard; he was a Black Wizard from Germany named Alek Niel.

He was wanted by the Germany Ministry of Magic for the Carnage of muggles in Germany and had temporarily fled to Britain. His strength was quite formidable.

If this young Wizard was killed by Alek, the Aurors would definitely investigate Alek afterwards.

A young Wizard dying in Knockturn Alley was much more serious than an adult Wizard dying there.

He had no grudge against Alek; his motive for doing this was twofold.

On one hand, he was twisted and disliked this young Wizard.

On the other hand, if Alek was investigated, the Borgin and Burkes shop that Alek had visited would also be investigated.

If Borgin and Burkes was investigated and shut down, his own shop's business would naturally improve.

"He's the strongest one here."

Goku turned to look at the mustachioed middle-aged man, then immediately strode over and stopped him.

"Hello, Uncle, my name is Goku. Can we duel?"

"Where did this stinky brat come from!"

Seeing someone stop him, the mustachioed man immediately drew his wand vigilantly.

When he saw that it was a child, an impatient expression appeared on his face, and he raised his hand, casting a magic spell:

"Petrificus Totalus!"

He didn't want to be wanted as soon as he arrived in Britain, so he didn't aim to kill but intended to immobilize the other party with a Full Body-Bind Curse.

The tip of his wand glowed, and the Full Body-Bind Curse was successfully cast.

Goku, who hadn't expected the sneak attack, suddenly felt a strange force like a spider web enveloping him, binding his entire body.

This feeling was somewhat familiar to him; it was very similar to General Blue of the Red Ribbon Army's psychic abilities, which had once given him a tough fight.

However, his strength now was incomparable to what it was back then.

"Hah!"

With a loud shout, relying on his powerful physique and ki, Goku actually forcibly dispersed the energy binding his body.

"You truly are a master. Let's begin our formal duel!"

"What!"

The middle-aged Wizard, who had immobilized Goku with the Full Body-Bind Curse and was walking past him towards the outer shop, suddenly stiffened when he heard the voice from behind.

He immediately turned around, a look of surprise on his face.

Equally surprised was the Old Wizard standing there watching the show.

To break free from a Full Body-Bind Curse with just his physical body, without magic—did this child have the blood of a troll or a giant?

One must know that even a Full Body-Bind Curse cast by a first-year young Wizard could not normally be broken by an adult Wizard using only their physical body.

Let alone by a somewhat famous Black Wizard fugitive…
