"Apparition!"
Nymphadora, having accepted the mission, Apparated directly from the Ministry of Magic to Diagon Alley with Goku.
The Ministry of Magic and Diagon Alley are both in London and not very far apart, so there was no need to use Floo powder in the Great Hall's fireplace.
With her magical strength, she could Apparate directly.
Floo powder is generally used by staff who live farther away, or by wizards who cannot Apparate, or who do not have a license to Apparate.
It is a mode of transportation used when coming to the Ministry of Magic.
"Nymphadora, aren't we supposed to be preparing for Hogwarts? Why are we here?"
Goku looked at the bustling Diagon Alley, a puzzled expression on his face.
This female police officer, who was about the same age as Bulma, said she was taking him to prepare for Hogwarts.
He thought it would involve some special training, but he didn't expect to return to the same street where he had bought roast turkey earlier.
"Where else would we go? Diagon Alley is the largest Magic Street in Britain, and everything you need to prepare for is here."
Nymphadora put her hands on her hips and said to Goku with some pride:
"First, I'll take you to buy a trolley. First-year students need to buy quite a lot of things."
Before Goku could refuse, she excitedly pulled him towards a nearby general store.
Goku didn't understand what Nymphadora was saying, but being simple and kind-hearted, he didn't refuse.
"Next, we'll go buy cauldrons, scales, and telescopes..."
Pushing the small trolley, the two went to the nearest Potage's Cauldron Shop.
After leaving the cauldron shop, they went to Madam Malkin's Robes for All Occasions to have wizard robes custom-made, and to Flourish and Blotts to buy eight first-year textbooks.
"Now, it's time to choose a pet for you."
Pushing the small trolley, which was already nearly full, they arrived at the entrance of a shop called 'Magical Menagerie.' Nymphadora asked Goku:
"Goku, what animal do you like? Owls, cats, or toads?"
She remembered that first-year students were only allowed to bring these three types of animals as pets this year.
When she was in school, there were many more types of pets to choose from than there are now.
"Let me take you inside to have a look!"
Before Goku could answer, Nymphadora pulled him into the Magical Menagerie.
The shop was very small, and most of the space was filled with cages containing various magical animals.
There were purple toads bigger than a head, glittering turtles, rabbits that could turn into hats, noisy ravens, and so on.
"Welcome, can I help you with anything?"
Seeing customers enter the shop, the female shop assistant, who was feeding a two-tailed salamander, immediately came over.
"We'll just look around first."
Nymphadora dismissed the shop assistant and whispered to Goku:
"This shop has more varieties of toads and cats. If you prefer owls, then we'll go to Eeylops Owl Emporium.
They have many more types and numbers of owls there than here."
"What is an owl?"
Goku tilted his head.
Nymphadora pointed to the only owl in the shop, a huge, feathered-legged fishing owl.
"That's an owl."
Following Nymphadora's finger, Goku saw the owl, which was as tall as a person, and thinking of the roast turkey he had eaten that morning, he couldn't help but drool.
"I choose the owl!"
"I also recommend you choose an owl, because owls can help you send letters and packages, so you won't have to spend money at the post office later."
Nymphadora nodded, intending to take Goku to Eeylops Owl Emporium to have a look.
However, Goku's next sentence immediately changed her mind:
"I love eating roasted small birds the most!"
Cats were definitely out, because seeing a cat made him think of Korin.
He had never eaten toads, but seeing their backs covered in bumps, he felt they probably wouldn't taste very good.
But owls were great, because he had indeed loved eating roasted small birds since childhood.
He remembered when he first left Mount Paozu with Bulma, he thought an airplane was a small bird, but after hitting it down, he found it inedible.
"Are you serious?"
Nymphadora saw Goku staring at the feathered-legged fishing owl, drooling, and immediately realized that Goku was definitely not joking.
"Hmm... I think it's okay not to buy a pet. Let's wait until you're a bit older."
A pet wasn't a mandatory purchase, and seeing Goku like this, she was afraid that if she bought an owl for Goku, he would actually roast it and eat it.
"Now, we're going to buy the last thing, and the most important thing!"
Leaving the Magical Menagerie, Nymphadora led Goku directly to Ollivanders, the wand shop at the very end of Diagon Alley.
Indeed, for a wizard, there is only one most important thing, and that is a wand.
Wands can help wizards cast more powerful magic better and more stably.
Moreover, without a wand, most wizards cannot even cast the simplest Lumos spell.
Wandless magic is a spellcasting technique mastered by only a very few powerful wizards.
"Ollivanders: Makers of Fine Wands since 382 B.C."
The words on the shop sign showed the shop's ancient history and professionalism.
As the two were about to push the door open, the shop door opened first.
Two figures, one tall and one short, emerged from the shop.
The tall one was over three meters tall, like a small giant, and had to bend down to barely squeeze out of the shop.
The short one was not as tall as Goku, thin and small, wearing glasses, with a lightning-shaped scar on his forehead.
"Hagrid!"
Seeing the tall one, Nymphadora immediately showed a surprised expression.
Hagrid also smiled when he saw Nymphadora:
"Nymphadora, I heard you passed the Auror interview and assessment. Congratulations!"
"Hahahahaha, for me, that was easy."
Nymphadora was not modest at all, but when her gaze swept over the forehead of the boy clutching Hagrid's trouser leg, her expression froze:
"Hagrid, he wouldn't happen to be..."
"Yes, he is Harry Potter!"
Hagrid nodded.
"Hello, Mr. Potter!"
The cheerful Nymphadora put away her smile and solemnly extended her hand to the boy.
"Hello!"
Harry Potter was not surprised by Nymphadora's reaction and politely extended his hand to shake Nymphadora's.
He had experienced similar things many times since entering the Leaky Cauldron.
"Who is this child? Is he yours?"
Hagrid curiously sized up Goku; he felt Goku's hairstyle was very distinctive.
Nymphadora's mouth twitched:
"Hagrid, I just graduated! Where would I get a child!"
"That's true."
Hagrid scratched his head.
"His name is Goku, he's an orphan. The director asked me to bring him to buy first-year things, and he's going to Hogwarts tomorrow."
Nymphadora briefly explained.
Hagrid smiled and extended his fan-sized hand to Goku:
"Hello, I'm Hagrid, the gamekeeper at Hogwarts.
You and Harry are in the same year. When you have time, come visit me with Harry; I'll treat you to my homemade rock cakes!"
"Hello, I'll definitely come."
Hearing Hagrid say he would treat him to food, Goku immediately perked up.
Nymphadora, however, seemed to recall something unpleasant and couldn't help but twitch her eye...
