Chapter 34 - Dumbledore

"If you get hungry tonight, go downstairs to eat. I'll pay for your meal tomorrow morning."

In a room on the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron, Nymphadora was giving serious instructions:

"An owl should come to deliver a letter to you this afternoon. Remember, whatever you do, don't roast it. Just let it go after you receive the letter…"

Only after confirming that Goku had fully understood her words did Nymphadora Apparate out of the room.

She needed to go back to Rufus for reimbursement. The money Rufus gave her wasn't enough, and she had spent all of her own money too.

"If I could learn that move, it would be great."

Watching Nymphadora disappear on the spot, Goku's face showed an interested expression.

He had noticed this morning that the people in this place who called themselves wizards all seemed to be able to use this kind of move that instantly transported them from one place to another.

He thought this move would be very useful in combat, so he was quite tempted to learn it.

He was interested in any move that could enhance his own strength.

"Time to train!"

Shopping in the morning had already taken up half the day, so he naturally had to work hard in the afternoon to make up for it.

Tomorrow he was going to duel Dumbledore, the strongest expert here, so he couldn't be lazy.

In fact, even now, he still didn't understand why the preparations for dueling Dumbledore involved buying those strange things on the street.

But it didn't matter. If he couldn't figure it out, he wouldn't think about it. That's how he always was.

Carrying the large wooden bed from the room on his back, he began doing one-finger push-ups.

The weight of the wooden bed was a bit too light for him, but it was better than nothing.

He wanted to train outside, but Nymphadora had told him before she left not to run around and to stay in the room.

Otherwise, if he got lost and she couldn't find him tomorrow, she wouldn't be able to take him to the station to catch the train to Hogwarts.

And so, Goku trained in his room all afternoon.

Fortunately, this was not an ordinary hotel, but a magic hotel.

If it had been an ordinary hotel, then with the noise Goku made while exercising in the room, he would have been complained about long ago.

Although the Leaky Cauldron looked old and dilapidated, every room was actually enchanted with various magic.

It was not only soundproof but also very sturdy.

This was because many wizards who stayed there also often made a lot of noise in their rooms.

At six in the evening, Goku, feeling hungry again, was about to go downstairs for dinner when a grey owl flew into his room through the window.

The owl landed on the table in the room, placed a pale yellow envelope down, and did not leave immediately, staring at Goku as if waiting for something.

Goku looked at the owl, remembering Nymphadora's instructions, suppressed the urge to catch and roast it, and stared back at the owl.

Seeing that Goku made no move, the owl gave a very human-like look of disdain, spread its wings, and flew away.

"Leaky Cauldron, Second Floor, Room 203, Mr. Goku."

Goku stepped forward, picked up the envelope, and instantly understood what the words written on it meant.

During the year he trained with Master Roshi Grandpa, Master Roshi Grandpa not only guided them in physical exercise but also in cultural studies.

It was in that year that he learned to count and to read.

However, a year was clearly not enough for him to recognize all the characters; he could only be said to have a general understanding.

But for some reason, when he saw these unfamiliar characters on the envelope in front of him, he could immediately understand their meaning.

It was like in the White Space, where he could also understand what the words on the doors meant.

He didn't delve into this, as it wasn't important to him.

Opening the envelope and pulling out the letter inside, he read the contents of the letter once:

"Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry

Headmaster: Albus Dumbledore

(Supreme Mugwump of the International Confederation of Wizards, Order of Merlin, First Class, Grand Sorcerer, Chief Warlock of the Wizengamot)

Dear Mr. Goku:

We are pleased to inform you that you have been accepted to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Please find enclosed a list of all necessary books and equipment.

Term begins on September 1.

Yours sincerely,

Minerva McGonagall

Deputy Headmistress"

"What does this mean?"

Goku scratched his head. He could understand all the individual words in the letter, but put together, he didn't understand their meaning.

"Oh, I get it! This is a challenge letter from that expert named Dumbledore!"

Remembering his martial arts competition with Tianlong in the capital, he suddenly understood.

Chen Daquan had told him that in the capital, martial artists had to issue a challenge letter in advance before they could compete in the ring.

He was going to duel Dumbledore tomorrow, so it was very reasonable for Dumbledore to send him a challenge letter today.

The duelists were Dumbledore and him, and both their names were on the letter.

The location of the duel was Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, which was also written on the letter.

As for Minerva McGonagall at the end, he thought she must be the referee for their match.

Putting away the challenge letter, Goku happily went downstairs for dinner.

The Leaky Cauldron's food supply was once again in crisis, and Tom, the owner of the Leaky Cauldron, procured ingredients overnight.

After eating dinner, he lay in bed and had a wonderful sleep, and when he woke up again, he unexpectedly found himself in the White Space.

Rubbing his eyes, Goku pushed open the door labeled "Harry Potter" and arrived in the room on the second floor of the Leaky Cauldron.

After habitually exercising for half an hour, he went downstairs to eat breakfast.

Halfway through breakfast, Nymphadora walked into the Leaky Cauldron.

However, this time she wasn't alone; two other people followed her into the pub and approached Goku.

One man and one woman, both wearing large glasses. The man held a very retro camera, and the woman held a notebook and a quill.

"Goku, this is Rita Skeeter, a special correspondent for the Daily Prophet, and her photographer, Angus Walker.

They want to do a quick interview with you about subduing the Black Wizard Alec Niel."

Nymphadora briefly introduced the two to Goku, but her expression towards them clearly showed a hint of dislike.

"I need to take him to King's Cross Station soon, so I hope you can be quick."

It turned out that Rufus, the Minister of magic, had specifically arranged this interview after learning that the internationally wanted Black Wizard Alec Niel had been apprehended by Aurors.

His purpose was also clear: to use this to enhance the prestige of the Ministry of Magic and his own prestige.

This way, he could better govern the Ministry of Magic.

Nymphadora wasn't against interviewing Goku; what she disliked was the special correspondent Rita Skeeter.

Because she knew this reporter lacked professional ethics and often twisted facts to write fake news to create a sensation.

She had already anticipated that the outcome of this interview would definitely not align with the facts.

And indeed, the result did not surprise her. The interview content written by Rita's self-writing quill exaggerated the achievements of the Aurors and downplayed Goku's role.
