Chapter 8 - Nameless World

As Shen left the office, two kids wearing expensive red robes with a symbol of a raging bull's head decorated on them in black glanced at Shen.

"Look who's there, Antony? Isn't that the loser who is about to get his whole life turned upside down in a year from now and lose his opportunity to ever get stronger?" The kid on the left, wearing a smug face with yellow hair, mocked as he spoke to his friend.

"What are you talking about, Jerry? That loser is already done for. Even if he gets the academy token, he is afraid of everything and never wants to ever train, even after awakening the space element," Antony commented with a smile.

Hearing their words, Shen could only roll his eyes inwardly and turn his head to the guard who was still waiting outside," You didn't leave?"

Tsk!

Jerry clicked his tongue, noticing Shen's indifferent expression as he completely ignored them and didn't cause a scene, unlike how he usually did when he used to call his big sister or father, which deepened his rage and disgust even more.

Still, knowing his identity wasn't that important, he stayed silent and moved on with his friend, his eyes filled with hate that made him wish he could crush every bone of that pitiful son of the patriarch.

The white-bearded guard shook his head, helpless. His gaze drifted to Shen, who was wearing a calm, indifferent expression, as if none of this mattered to him. He sighed.

'Maybe I was truly just imagining things back then? The young master is still not concerned about his situation, weak body, and non-existent cultivation.'

Brushing those thoughts to the back of his mind, he replied respectfully.

"Ehm, young master," The white bearded man suddenly recalled something and couldn't help but speak up." What did the patriarch ask you to do? I believe that asking one of the elders..."

The guard couldn't finish his words before he was cut off. Helpless, he didn't keep talking and awaited his young master's orders.

"Take me to the library, father has given me permission to visit all parts of it."

The guard's body shuddered slightly, his mind drifting into an image as he swallowed hard,' Seems like the patriarch has given a lot of trust to his son, this never happened before!'

The past hour passed quietly as Shen followed Eno, the guard, around the mansion into the library. Passing through several checkpoints along the way as though he was heading into the treasury, not the library.

Early morning.

Shafts of dawn pierced through the clouds, shining upon the ancient town walls.

The town that was originally tranquil at night had already become bustling; the expansive town avenues were filled with cries of vendors on every corner, creating a noisy scene.

In the east of the town, within a small courtyard enclosed by fences.

Shen sat on a wooden chair facing the sun, elbows and knees bent, hands supporting his jaw as he quietly flipped through a book he was holding.

"General Information: For Shen Only: Burn After Usage!"

'Synapse, make sure to record everything I'm about to read. Also, make it an automatic task to save all the data regarding all the book information I ever read.'

[Beep! Task established, beginning auto recording all book information the host reads!]

Shen had already been told about such a function. In fact, he was even more pleased since every time he recalled his photographic memory in his past life, his body shuddered, and cold sweat drenched his forehead.

He simply couldn't imagine the combination of his past life's photographic memory with this weak body, as frail as a sheet of paper. That thought alone terrified him.

'Seems like the heavens truly favor me in this life, this cheat is basically heaven-defying if used well and could save a lot of time,' Shen grinned from ear to ear before he started flipping through the book for real, his hands moving as fast as lightning and eyes fixated on the contents of the pages.

This was a miscellaneous book that contained general information about himself and other details, such as his current location, family status, his strengths, and various similar things.

Within a few seconds, Shen had flipped through the whole book that wasn't as thick as real history books and casually thought,' Synapse, did you manage to record all the information inside?'

[Beep! The data has been recorded. All information is deemed important and none was filtered. Does the host wish for it to be transmitted?]

"Transmit!" Shen ordered.

With each passing moment, a large amount of information flooded into his brain without the slightest discomfort, and Shen began to gain a deeper understanding of this world and, more importantly, his body's past!

'Shit, I'm doomed!' Shen cursed as a general viewpoint formed in his mind.

Nameless World, that's the world he was reincarnated in!

As for the name selection? It is simply that all information regarding the world's name was lost during the great separation, which occurred tens of thousands of years ago. However, since then, none dared to casually name the world and left it as it is, instead calling it 'Namless World'.

Shen was currently inside a continent that went by the name Hidden Continent.

Alas, what would look like a regular reincarnation main character finding himself in a noble family as he rose into the ranks and defeated all odds stacked against him with the cheats was a pipe dream for the current him!

To be more precise, Shen wasn't even situated in the hidden continent, but his family's town and mansion were placed into a separate space inside the continent, they were referred to as a pocket dimension.

What made matters worse? His body was so weak that he couldn't even start cultivation. Hence, a year ago, which is the age of awakening, the body owner was unable to cultivate and get stronger, which intensified his natural fearful personality even further.

'Yeah, I'm doomed,' As Shen looked at the several other information, he could tell that cultivating was a fantasy for him. As for his father's words about the tournament? He was sure those were merely words of encouragement.

After a while, Shen put down the book on his left and deeply sighed,' This is not good.'
