Chapter 21 - Negotiation

[Nboy: Is that The Ezekiel?!!!]

[Mirage111: Wowsie! Did you see him move?!! It was like a freaking movie star!]

[Angel987: I think I am in love!]

[Enchanter01: Seems like there is a good reason behind his first rank!]

[Linker111: Based on my calculations, he has been hunting zombies for the past 24 hours here. That and his skill along with a monopoly on any quests he might have gotten within the settlement might have helped him reach level 7 so fast.]

[Invia: I think I saw a critical hit on each of those zombies before they died. Isn't the chance below 10%?]

[Manlikehim0111: Brother Blaze, it seems like you just landed on a gold mine! The views are increasing like crazy!]

Gregory looked at the comments, and then at the live views that had reached 400 and were only increasing each moment.

Seems like we might break all records today. Gregory thought recalling their highest live view count ever was around 900, and given the fact that the guy in front of them was the one and only player to make leaderboards, that too by a huge lead was something that would have made many many interested.

Now the main question was…

How can we keep the momentum going?

"All right, you can do that. But I have a few conditions first," Ezekiel spoke as he looked at Joshua with a calculating smile before raising three of his fingers.

"First, I want 50% of all the net earnings of the videos in which I would appear. Following that, when I ask you to do so, close the stream, or at least cut me off from it. And lastly, I want you to follow my lead completely when you are together with me," he presented his demands, making Joshua observe Ezekiel for a few seconds before turning to Gregory wondering if he should accept this or not.

"30%. And if you want to be off from the stream, you need to tell in advance. Clips will be mostly live, and will also be edited for UTube posting so if you want to be off from it, we need to know that beforehand. As for the last one, if we find ourselves in danger or in any unfavourable situation, we would run away," Gregory turned into negotiator mode as he walked forward, getting a better glance at Ezekiel.

The green-eyed, white haired top player simply smiled as he looked at Gregory and then answered, "How about this? You go with my words and I will let you have all the loot except swords and daggers? Ah! Except for skills which we will distribute based on contribution rate."

[Nboy01: Hmmm… not a bad arrangement since the loot is scarce. I was wondering how the loot would be divided if he was leading, but if it's like this, it's good for you guys, too.]

[TristanBear: Add another condition. Tell him not to make it contribution-based since he will be doing most of the work. Make it dice-based so that everyone gets an equal chance.]

[Skillmaker0101: Also, ask him for class-specific materials and skills.]

Gregory read the comments before forwarding that to Ezekiel who pondered on that before nodding and accepting.

"For class-based skills, you can have a priority if it is based on your class. If it is not, we can roll the dice on it," Ezekiel added as he concluded.

Joshua, who usually left these negotiations to Gregory, decided to follow through with it. While Gregory pondered a bit as he thought.

If all fails, we can just go on our own stream. Though let's hope this partnership gets as fruitful as it seems to be.

[Live Views: 632]

"Um… guys. I think someone is watching us from the forest," Raven, who had been silent up until now, spoke up. Her eyes were looking deep into the forest where a woman in black was standing with a scythe in her hand.

What the?! Gregory almost cursed, while Joshua took a few steps back as he looked at the woman standing menacingly at a distance.

[Imagian0: Smash!]

The area around her turned darker as the fog started surrounding the area. Red glowing eyes began appearing from the fog as dozens of zombies began appearing one by one from the fog. Staying still at their places, the Witch and the zombies stood there like mannequins, before slowly the fog began consuming them once again.

There was a smile on that woman's face as she observed the players for a few more moments before turning around and walking away one step at a time. The zombies too started drifting away, deeper into the fog as it consumed them completely.

And only after a few dozen seconds had passed…

"What… was that?" Joshua asked, confused as he looked at the place where that woman was, to which Ezekiel turned around and observed the three newbie players with a curious look.

Looking at his face, Gregory knew that Ezekiel had an idea of what that was. And not betraying the expectations of the trio, he finally spoke,

"That… was the Weeping Widow of the Whispering Woods, also known as the Witch of Darkness. The Unique Monster bound to the Inara settlement."
