Chapter 86 - Knock Your Head Out

"Roooaaar!!"

The night sky split with thunder as a tremendous dragon cry shook the very air. Sparks of blue lightning danced along the scales of the massive Blue Electric Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its mouth opened wide, and from its fanged maw erupted a torrent of dragon flames entwined with crackling blue lightning. The flames surged forward like a living storm, swallowing the heavens and bearing straight for Lu Yuan.

Without hesitation, Lu Yuan's intent sharpened. His mind urged the countless strands of sword qi orbiting him to surge together, condensing into a wall of cutting light before his body. The dragon flame crashed against it.

"Boom—!!!"

The impact shook the skies. Winds screamed. The surface of the lake below erupted into violent waves, overturning water in curtains of spray.

"Polar Sword Formation!" Lu Yuan coldly barked.

His control tightened. Above, endless soul-power blades flickered into existence like stars. With a slight gesture of his will, they plummeted toward the towering Tyrannosaurus like divine punishment.

"Power of Thunder!"

The massive beast swung its bulky body, arcs of lightning sparking like writhing snakes. Blast after blast of violent thunderbolts split the air, smashing into the incoming rain of soul swords.

Explosions raged across the sky.

Lu Yuan's eyes narrowed. This beast wasn't simple—but that only made him smile more wickedly.

"Fifth Soul Ability—Absolute Slash!"

Beneath the cover of the storm, his blade flicked once. A keen edge of sword qi, sharp and invisible, cleaved through the night, slicing straight for the dragon's chest.

"Third Spirit Ability—Thunder Fury!"

The Blue Tyrannosaurus roared again, trembling with dazzling thunder. Lightning cloaked its whole body until it blazed like a miniature sun. Its might surged; its aura rose another step higher. Every swing, every roar, carried gut-wrenching weight.

The two techniques clashed.

"Chichichichichi—!!"

The sound was unbearable, like metal tearing the heavens apart. Sword qi raked across blue scales, sparks spraying in every direction.

But Lu Yuan wasn't slowing down. His left arm soul bone lit with black fire. Flames poured along the edge of his sword until the weapon shimmered with burning shadow.

"Sixth Soul Ability—Gale Sword Dance!"

He moved. In the blink of an eye, Lu Yuan's sword blitzed seventeen slashes. Each stroke spat out thick arcs of black sword qi, condensing into a storm before him. With his eighteenth cut, he compressed them together—an array of blades whirling with destructive force.

"Go!!"

Like furious meteors, the eighteen sword qi streaked across the sky, screaming as they united in their charge toward the dragon.

The air warped. The dragon twisted, coiling midair as power surged from its eighth spirit ring. Flashes of lightning danced across its body, weaving a dense shield of thunder into the form of a glowing electric net.

"Stab—stab—stab!!"

The sky erupted in luminous sparks. The clash painted half the heavens in fireworks, black and blue intertwining as lightning battled against sword force. Under the furious assault, the thunder net finally ripped apart.

"Boom!!!"

Sword qi stormed downward, slamming brutally into the Tyrannosaurus' body. The massive figure plummeted into the lake, water geysering upward in a wave several meters high.

Lu Yuan descended from the sky, adjusting his grip on the hilt. Flames still flickered faintly along the blade. His lips curled.

"Not bad," he muttered with satisfaction. "The power of this sixth soul skill is stronger than I thought. When I find that old man Chen Xin, I'll test it on him for fun."

He shook out his arm and took a swig from his wine jar as if the fight had been merely amusing.

The Reveal

"Wuah—!!"

Suddenly, water exploded behind him. From the lake, an injured but still powerful figure flew out: a middle-aged man, soaked but alive.

"Lu Yuan! Stop—don't fight anymore!" The man threw out his hands, eyes wide as he watched the dark sword swing toward him. "I'm not your enemy!"

Lu Yuan frowned, his deadly blade already raised, ready to strike. But the figure hurried to explain himself.

"I…" He coughed, trying to calm his breath. "I am Yu Luomian! Second master of the Blue Lightning Tyrant Dragon Clan!"

Lu Yuan blinked. His sword poised midair. "Yu… Luomian?"

The man nodded quickly, hair plastered to his face from the lakewater.

Alright. Now this was awkward.

If he recalled correctly, Yu Luomian had some connection to Little Pepper, Liu Erlong, didn't he?

For a moment, silence stretched. Then Lu Yuan sneered. "And why didn't you just say that before? Instead of trying to roast me with dragon flame?"

Yu Luomian's mouth twitched into a grimace. He wanted to cry but had no tears. He had tried to say something earlier—but before he could utter three words, Lu Yuan had bombarded him with a storm of sword skills. How could he have explained under that pressure?

"Leave, boy," Yu Luomian said tiredly, his voice heavy. "You shouldn't be here. I have important matters to handle—you cannot interfere."

"Leave?" Lu Yuan arched a brow, scoffing outright. "Do you know how hard I worked to find this place?! I'm not going anywhere until I get what I came for!"

Yu Luomian's stomach sank, but he forced patience. "And what, exactly, are you looking for?"

Lu Yuan raised his wine jar, taking another proud draught before speaking bluntly. "Your daughter, of course. Tell me—how is Erlong?"

The name froze the older man.

"What? Do… you know Erlong?" he demanded, suspicion doubtful in his eyes.

Lu Yuan smirked and leaned on his sword casually as if delivering gossip. "Of course. Why wouldn't I know her? She's carrying my child."

"WHAT?!" Yu Luomian nearly bit his tongue.

The words rang in his ears again and again. His heart slammed in his chest. Shock piled on shock until his mind spun, buzzing like thunder.

With disbelief etched across his face, the man's pupils shrank to pinpoints. "You—you're the father of Erlong's child?!"

Lu Yuan jabbed a thumb against his own chest arrogantly. "The one and only."

Yu Luomian's Turmoil

Yu Luomian staggered back. His thoughts were spiraling.

Months ago, after discovering Erlong pregnant, he had forcibly taken her back to the clan. He had wanted desperately to uncover who the damn scoundrel was. He thought it was Yu Xiaogang. Or Flander. He had nearly confronted them, fists clenched, but without evidence he had restrained himself.

He had even thought about forcing an abortion, fearing the shame it might bring their clan—a child without a name. But Erlong had resisted bitterly, threatening with her life. His hands had been tied.

It was then that he devised a plan: leave a message at Lanba Academy, baiting the unknown father into appearing.

And now? Now he was standing before Lu Yuan.

His daughter… pregnant with this lunatic's child?!

His mind went blank. He felt like a monkey who had just bitten into chili peppers—his eyes watering helplessly!

The sheer absurdity overwhelmed him. Lu Yuan! Of all people—Lu Yuan! How did this reckless, drunken sword-obsessed bastard cross paths with his daughter?!

He could barely comprehend it.

Lu Yuan tilted his head at him, suspicious. "What's with your face? You didn't know?"

Pressure

Yu Luomian opened his mouth. "Listen to me—"

But before he could finish, Lu Yuan stomped forward, eyes blazing.

"Air Break Slash!"

"Earth Splitter!"

"Polar Sword Formation!!"

"Absolute Slash!!"

A cascade of attacks forced Yu Luomian back again, sword qi erupting madly into the sky. He cursed inwardly. Every time he tried to speak, this lunatic drowned him under another wave of violence.

Finally, sword at his throat, Lu Yuan glared coldly. "Enough dancing around. Tell me clearly—what happened to Little Pepper?!"

Yu Luomian's lips trembled. His heart beat painfully. He had fought his share of battles—but this ridiculous scenario left him utterly out of control.

"She… Erlong… is resting within our clan," he forced out, defeated. "She's safe. She's only… raising the child…"

Lu Yuan's eyes narrowed dangerously. He pressed his sword closer, kissing skin. "Don't you dare lie to me. If she's safe, then why lay an ambush on me here? If she's fine, why hide instead of showing yourself earlier?"

"I—I…" Yu Luomian stammered.

Lu Yuan's patience snapped. His free fist smashed into Yu Luomian's head.

"If she's truly well, then you'll take me to her right now. Otherwise… I swear I'll knock your damn head out!"

The sharp edge gleamed against Yu Luomian's throat, his entire body radiating killing intent.

"I won't believe a word until I see her myself."
