"Hey, look on the bright side. At least they are not kissing or hugging." Axel's voice was coaxing as he looked at the most recent photos of Kyle and Lucian that were sprawled across the table in Jace's study room.
An invisible dark cloud loomed over his best friend's head.
"Why is he spending so much time with that omega anyway? Doesn't he know he is mated? Wait, did he forget about me?" The frown between Jace's fine brows deepened.
"Don't say such things. You are quite unforgettable after all. Smart, handsome and rich, who wouldn't want you?" Axel hyped, listing a few of his best friend's qualities in an attempt to make him feel better.
Jace's mood lightened as he chuckled softly.
"I know what you are doing but thank you. You are a good friend, Axel." Jace smiled faintly, momentarily forgetting about Lucian's annoying actions.
It didn't last longer than a few seconds though.
