Synopsis
***An alpha with an Alpha mate!!?*** Jace was certain he hated him. Lucian Hayes was the Alpha responsible for destroying and breaking his family apart and after spending years eagerly waiting for the day he could get his revenge, Jace's reality crumbled once he found Lucian. The blend of sandalwood and soft undertones of musk suffocated yet delighted his senses as he glared at the nonchalant alpha that was the target of his hatred and vengeance. Jace fought for dominance as he tried to discard the relentless voice in the back of his head that recognized the fellow alpha that was standing before him as his fated mate. No...this was definitely some huge misunderstanding. A wave of denial hit him as he lunged forward, pinning Lucian to the wall with a force that nearly put a dent through the marble. ....... Two alpha males, clushing together in a fight for dominance and love. Will they succumb to a bond so entirely forbidden or will they let their past tear them apart and break them? Chapter 1 - Slow down

"I am going to kill him." Jace's voice was certain and determined as his forest green eyes darkened, reflecting the storm of emotion that was brewing within him.

"Okay?" The surprised voice of his best friend did little to brighten his mood.

"Axel, I have waited five long years to finally get my hands on Lucian Hayes and that's happening tonight." Jace felt the need to explain his earlier statement to the beta that was looking at him like he had lost his mind.

"I understand but you need a plan Jace, you cannot just go and pounce for his neck. Lucian is a mafia Lord and he is definitely well protected." Axel cautioned and Jace was thoughtfully silent but the fire in his eyes didn't reduce.

"I have a plan." He murmured and Axel quirked up a brow in disbelief.

Axel knew the alpha before him was more action oriented and rarely planned things through when he was emotional which was half the time he was conscious.

Hearing that Jace had actually made a plan to take down his number one enemy surprised him and Axel was now genuinely curious.

"Okay, let me hear it." He suggested and Jace blinked, rapidly formulating a messy plan through his head.

"I will wait until he is vulnerable before I attack and kill him." Jace whispered and Axel rubbed his temple, feeling like he was slowly developing a headache.

"Jace, we have just returned to the country and I am tired. Why not wait a few weeks so that we can develop a solid plan." Axel suggested and Jace faintly glared at him.

"I cannot afford to wait. If I miss confronting Lucian today, I will have to wait a month or longer before he makes another public appearance. I am not that patient." Jace admitted and Axel sighed softly, giving up any attempts to convince his friend to wait.

"Fine, do what you want." Axel gave in, knowing that there was nothing he could do to change Jace's mind.

He threw his head back, leaning against the car seat as he closed his eyes, utterly exhausted from the long six hour flight.

"Take us to the Horizon view hotel." Jace gave the driver the location where Lucian was going to be meeting up with some business associates.

"Yes sir." The driver replied and Jace reluctantly let his tense shoulders relax as he looked out at the city that was slowly darkening as night fell.

Jace had managed to pull some strings to get himself an invite to the gathering as one of Lucian's potential business partners.

Tonight, he was eventually going to get his revenge.

Jace was finally back home after spending five years in a forced exile that Lucian's family was responsible for.

Afraid for his heir's life, Jace's father had sent him out of the country right before he met his death at Lucian's hand.

With his strong alpha father gone and Jace still a fifteen year old teenager, the Blackwell business empire had barely survived.

Executives had backstabbed him and with lots of other people out to take advantage of the young heir, Jace had eventually been shaped into a guarded and fierce Alpha that no one dared to mess with.

He kept everyone else at arms length except for Axel, the beta that had stuck with him through thick and thin.

Jace briefly glanced at his best friend who had already dozed off, his sharp green eyes softening a little.

He had one good friend. One that could never betray him and as long as he had Axel by his side, Jace was quite certain that he was going to be just fine.

"Wake up sleepy head. We are here." Jace gently nudged his friend, waking him up.

Axel didn't look so happy at being woken up but he fixed his appearance and stepped out of the car, following Jace into the towering building.

"Slow down." Axel murmured as he took longer strides, nearly running after the Alpha that was walking too fast.

Once they were at the venue for the meeting, Axel noticed the bulky alpha male that stood at the entrance of the room, his presence intimidating.

Jace grimaced slightly, his nostrils not pleased with the scent of the alpha body guard that stood in his way.

"Who are you?" The man asked and Jace's lips curled into a tight smile, wishing not to prolong the interaction any longer than was necessary.

"Jace Anderson." He replied curtly, dropping his Blackwell surname and borrowing Axel's.

The body guard reluctantly tore his eyes from them, briefly looking at the small notebook that he had pulled from his shirt pocket.

"And who is your companion?" The body guard asked once he had confirmed that Jace was on the list.

"He is my body guard." Jace replied and the body guard finally stepped aside, letting them pass.

The gathering was less formal than Jace had expected and his eyes scanned the room of elegant partyers that were sipping wine while standing and chatting, looking for Lucian.

His forest green eyes burned once he spotted the mafia lord standing in a corner, talking to a woman.

He stood in a way that only offered Jace a view of his side profile and it took all his restraint not to dash through the crowd and jump for his throat.

His glare must have been so intense because a couple of minutes later, Lucian eventually looked in his direction and their eyes met.

Jace didn't expect to be taken by surprise as his forest green eyes gazed into the pair of smoky grey ones.

Something within him snapped and his senses heightened, his nostrils focusing on the singular scent that seemed to stand out among the rest.

The sharp and nearly suffocating yet warm scandalwood scent had him admitting something he wished wasn't true as he glared at Lucian, not willing to break their eye contact first.

Mate. Mine!

The two words echoed at the back of his head, relentlessly urging him to take a step forward and jump for Lucian's throat.

The only problem was that as much as he wanted to snap the Alpha's neck, a part of him wanted to sink his canines into Lucian's neck and mark him.

It was quite disastrous and he was utterly conflicted.

How had he received an Alpha male for a mate? Why was it the one person he hated the most?

Questions that Jace had no answers to flooded his mind as he watched Lucian slowly walking through the crowd and making his way to him.
