Chapter 3 - Doorpost

All that was left in the room was a hospital bed, a table, a chair across from the bed, and a man looking down on a child.

The sensory ninjas were just outside the walls and windows and would act/react at a moment's notice.

Ibiki felt no trace of intimidation from Yuta.

Not that Yuta was trying to project it, it was simply that Ibiki, a man who had broken many shinobi both mentally and physically, was immune to such things.

He took a slow step forward, closing the distance until his shadow fell over Yuta.

"Don't rile up your chakra kid, This will only end sooner if you comply"

"What do you plan to do then?" Yuta asked calmly.

"I don't mind telling you," Ibiki replied, his tone cold and precise.

"You don't seem to be lying, but your words are as cryptic as your appearance. There is no village called 'Miyagi Prefecture.' No 'Japan.' Yet you seem to believe every word you say. I intend to see for myself by getting into your head. It will be painful."

"I am not afraid of pain, however, I cannot let you get into my head," Yuta said, remembering the situation with Kenjaku. No one would accept that willingly.

At this point, Yuta's blank face turned into a serious stare.

After some seconds of a stare down, he closed his eyes and asked himself.

'What would Gojo sensei do?'

'He would probably come to a quick conclusion and never be in a weak position...'

"Normally, that would be an option, but you are a potential foreign threat, you have no choice," Ibiki said, and immediately weaved a hand sign.

Thick chakra chains, each as wide as three fingers, burst from the floor and walls, snapping around Yuta and anchoring him to the ground.

In an instant, he was forced to his knees.

Yuta did not resist as he was still in thought.

'...indeed power determines position.'

He opened his eyes as the cursed energy around him started swelling in massive amounts.

He exerted strength on the chains but they seemed to be held by a more powerful force and instead tightened all the more

Ibiki already got the notification that the dark chakra was rampaging in the room but he was neither moved nor afraid.

"Those chains are a Konoha unique sealing technique, I warned you, don't resist, and this will end quickly," Ibiki said.

Yuta stared dead at Ibiki and said

"Rika," Yuta said, and immediately the temperature in the room dropped.

A massive white palm emerged from the space behind him easily larger than a human head, each nail sharp enough to kill at a glance.

Ibiki's words caught in his throat.

The palm reached for the chains.

Its nails brushed the bindings and they snapped like brittle twigs, dissolving into nothing.

The hand faded back into the ether, leaving behind only a soft, haunting voice:

"...Yuta"

Yuta rose slowly, rolling his shoulders and flexing his legs until his joints cracked.

Ibiki's face didn't change.

But inwardly, he catalogued every detail.

A female voice.

Described as a 'monster' by the witness who found him.

Can choose to appear physically or not, no trace of chakra detected, so it's not a conventional summon.

The entity's presence is voluntary, independent of natural chakra flow.

And the boy himself… formidable, without even weaving a sign.

The name might be an activation trigger.

Ibiki analysed with his hands in his coat sleeve as he watched Yuta without any form of fear and only caution.

Meanwhile, the sensory team had already relayed what they saw from their perspective to Ibiki and, in conclusion.

"It does not seem to be chakra, at least not the natural one we're used to," One of them said.

"A foreign energy suddenly permeated the room, merging with the dark form of energy the kid had for a moment and disappeared, however, the amount of foreign energy in his body did not increase or reduce " another sensory ninja conveyed to Ibiiki

'So in essence, he did not cast a jutsu,' Ibiki thought.

Yuta, for his part, understood exactly what they were doing.

Interrogation.

Pressure.

It wasn't so different from the jujutsu world's handling of spies and defectors.

"I agree to your terms as long as you do not try to get into my head, I believe there are other options," Yuta said calmly as he stared at Ibiki.

Ibiki, however, did not reply and only stared coldly at Yuta, and eventually he said.

"Indeed, I will consider your request, you will stay here for the meantime," Ibiki said and used the door.

Once he stepped outside and saw Shikaku, they both looked at each other and nodded as they walked away in the same direction.

Almost immediately, two anbu ops flicked to the doorpost and stood on duty.
