Chapter 2 - Foreign names

Tsunade walked closer to the wall and leaned on it, her eyes narrowing slightly as she rolled the unfamiliar name on her tongue.

"Yuta Okkotsu…"

She had no flicker of recognition

She had combed through enough bingo books and intelligence briefs to know when a name was fresh.

This one? Not a single recognizable match, which made him even more suspicious, as it could be a fake name.

"Where are you from?" Tsunade asked

"Japan " Yuta answered

"What Village" Tsunade asked

"Miyagi Prefecture" He replied

"What were you doing in the forest?" She asked

"I don't know" He replied

Before she could probe further, the office door slid open with practiced urgency.

Shizune strode in, files clutched to her chest, her expression tight.

"Lady Hokage, you're needed... now." She spared Yuta only a passing glance before moving briskly to Tsunade's side.

Tsunade merely glanced at her and her jaw clenched.

This likely wasn't paperwork.

The flare in Shizune's tone told her the matter was probably military.

A village security crisis was brewing, and she couldn't ignore it.

"Fine. Hand this one over to Morino."

Ibiki Morino.

The scarred, unblinking head of Konoha's Interrogation Corps was already waiting outside, his coat collar shadowing half his face.

He'd made grown shinobi crack with a single stare.

"Go easy on him," Tsunade muttered under her breath as she stepped past.

In the corridor, Shikaku Nara leaned against the wall, hands in pockets, looking as if the whole world were one long, troublesome shogi game.

Tsunade caught his eye.

"Unusual case. Village security matters. Keep your mind on it."

"I will," He said briskly.

Almost as if on cue, a masked sensory-nin materialized between them in a blur of movement.

"Report: Subject's chakra signature is… abnormally Dark.

No signs of agitation or deceit detected, emotions are steady."

Shikaku frowned, stroking his beard.

'No shift in emotion, even here? That's plausible… but hard to believe.'

Tsunade was already striding down the hall toward the crisis room, her sandals slapping hard against the polished floor.

Shikaku didn't follow.

His eyes drifted toward the hospital room door which was now about to be an interrogation room.

'How did he get past the village defenses, we have been on watch against any sudden infiltration or attacks since the last time, not to mention an inside job, a thorough screening is done daily with sensory units active, so where could he have come from?, As for his purpose here, he is a foreigner, his accent, skin tone, and hair show that he is actually not affiliated. I can't think of his reason for being here at the moment, except internal strife, no... There are many more reasons. I'll have to be prepared. A security breach in the village, huh? Coincidentally? Just who is he?' Shukaku thought thoroughly.

That was his job: strip a man down to his intent, measure the threat, and decide if it could be contained.

And right now? The puzzle had more empty spaces than pieces.

Inside, Ibiki dropped a thick folder onto the table, the sound echoing off the walls.

Yuta sat calmly, his eyes steady, the sensory ninjas as well were on guard against him, as any slight agitation in his weird chakra would lead to a sealing jutsu.

Ibiki's scarred face was unreadable.

"Name. Purpose. Affiliations." he said.

Yuta's voice was quiet, deliberate, and his thoughts went back to his last memories as a slight pain tugged his heart.

'The Jujutsu Society is likely no more,' he thought, but then he remembered the others, Yuji, Maki, and a small part of him still hoped for Megumi.

"The Jujutsu Society, I don't know why I am here or where I am, which leaves me with no objective at the moment"

The air suddenly shifted, almost in response to his words.

Ibiki's gaze narrowed, not in fear, but in professional curiosity.

'The Jujutsu Society, that was an unfamiliar name' Ibiki thought but acted composed

The amount of that Dark Chakra in the air was… unusual.

And ibiko had known of this from the sensory network but held against restricting yuta until further action.

However, Ibiki was already thinking of using a more persuasive interrogative method as he stood up from the chair and approached Yuta.

Meanwhile, Yuta was busy...

'Calm down Rika'
