Chapter 36 - Chapter 35: “Say It, or Don’t Come Back”

It Started With One Sentence.

Zeyan came home late.

She was at the dining table, arms crossed, eyes cold.

"You're late."

He didn't flinch.

"You're awake."

Her jaw tightened.

"You said you'd be home by 8."

He removed his watch slowly. Calmly. "And it's 8:40. I didn't realize I had a curfew."

"You do when your wife is suspicious."

He paused. "Suspicious of what?"

"You tell me, Mr. Lu."

The Air Went Cold

Yinyin stood up, grabbing a folder from the table.

She tossed it across to him.

Photos.

Printouts.

IP logs.

Chat logs.

BlackNine's trace line.

Her voice was low:

"You've been messing with me online.

Testing me.

Pretending to be someone else."

Zeyan froze.

Then slowly looked up.

"So you found out."

"Why didn't you just ask me, Zeyan?! Why play some disgusting hacker mind game?"

"Because you lied first."

Silence.

That sentence cracked the room.

The Fire Ignites

She stepped forward, hurt flaring in her chest.

"I lied to protect you.

From people who would kill you without blinking."

"And I tested you," he said, calm but dangerous, "because I needed to know what kind of woman I married."

Her eyes filled with rage.

"And? What did you learn? That your wife's a monster? A liar? A hacker freak?"

"No," he said softly.

"I learned that the person I love the most would rather break her own heart than let me in."

That one hit her harder than any insult.

She looked away. Her voice trembled.

"You think I like this?

Hiding?

Watching you sleep at night and wondering if you'd leave me if you knew everything?"

He didn't reply.

She shoved him in the chest.

"Say something!"

"Fine," he snapped, catching her wrist.

His voice dropped.

"Say it, Yinyin.

Say the truth.

Say who you are.

Or don't come back."

She Broke.

Tears spilled down her cheeks.

"I'm XYN.

The hacker that wiped out three blackmail rings, crashed a mafia server, and stole encrypted files from five governments.

I am the reason people whisper at night online.

I'm not just your wife."

She looked him dead in the eyes.

"I'm the storm."

Silence.

His grip on her wrist loosened.

Then he stepped back.

"Thank you for finally saying it."

She shook her head.

"You're not mad?"

He walked to the bar. Poured a drink. Sipped.

"I've known for weeks."

She gasped. "YOU—WHAT—"

"You married a CEO, Yinyin.

Did you think I wouldn't dig?"

She stood there. Speechless.

"You lied to me. I lied to you," he said. "Now we're even."
