(feat. Xu Yinyin and Lu Zeyan)
The house was still quiet the morning after the fight.
Xu Yinyin padded barefoot into the kitchen wearing his white shirt—oversized and crumpled—hair messy, eyes sleepy, lips pouty.
Lu Zeyan was already at the counter, dressed in black slacks and a grey sweater, reading the news on his tablet.
She grabbed the coffee pot.
No words.
He slid a sugar cube across the counter.
She stared at it.
"What's this?"
"A peace offering."
She blinked once.
Then plopped the sugar in her mouth, chewed it dry, and said through gritted teeth:
"So… we're not getting divorced, right?"
He looked up slowly.
"Not unless you plan to file first."
She smiled. "Too expensive. I'd rather annoy you to death."
"Romantic."
15 Minutes Later – Bedroom
Yinyin jumped onto the bed and shoved her laptop into his lap.
"Look. Someone sent this to my underground email last night."
"Who?" he asked, frowning.
"No idea. No name. Just… this."
She opened the file.
Zeyan's face stiffened.
It was a folder.
Titled: "Project Ember – L.Z."
His initials.
Inside? A broken chain of military-grade code and one sentence:
"Your past is catching up with you."
Yinyin froze.
"Zeyan… what is this?"
His jaw tightened.
He stood up and walked to the window.
"You weren't the only one with secrets, Yinyin."
She stared at him, the world tilting slightly.
"Wait… you were a hacker?"
"Not just a hacker."
He turned back to face her.
"I was part of a government program.
The kind that doesn't exist anymore.
The kind that gets people killed."
She blinked, shook her head.
"So… your billionaire CEO origin story is literally classified?"
"Pretty much."
Yinyin's eyes sparkled.
"Lu Zeyan, you sexy little criminal."
30 Minutes Later – Closet Chaos
Yinyin was pacing in the closet, tossing outfits onto the floor.
"I need to wear something mysterious. Hacker wife who just found out her husband is a ghost with a tax ID."
"You're not going anywhere," he said from the doorway.
"Zeyan. The plot is thickening. You can't just sit there with cheekbones and silence."
"You're not getting involved."
"Too late. We're married. Your trauma is my drama now."
He sighed. "And what exactly are you planning to do?"
She turned around slowly.
Wearing his black hoodie, combat boots, and her signature red lipstick.
"Find who sent that file. And hack them into oblivion."
Final Scene – Almost Romantic… Until…
They sat on the couch later, tangled together.
Her head was on his chest. His fingers ran through her hair.
It was quiet. Warm. Soft.
"Hey," she whispered.
"Mm?"
"If you're not just a cold CEO, and I'm not just a crazy hacker…
What are we, really?"
He paused.
"We're a disaster.
But at least we're exclusive."
She smiled.
Right before the power in the house flickered and went out.
Her laptop pinged once.
Then again.
A new message:
"Hello, Xu Yinyin and Lu Zeyan.
We know what you both did."
