Chapter 17 - Blood

"It's too noisy. Quiet, Cortmans!"

Malcolm recited a spell in some unknown language, and everyone at the scene was trapped in place, unable to speak or move.

He said somewhat dissatisfiedly, "Magic is the most perfect art. Watching an art performance requires silence."

"It has been detected that you are being restrained by magic. You can try to use magic to break free." Shenlan gave a prompt.

"No, don't act rashly for now."

Hellagur gave the order that if he broke the restraint now, Malcolm would definitely notice it, which would be tantamount to seeking death.

"Well... the blood has been drawn, let's move on to the next step."

Baron Buck fell to the ground in mid-air and turned into a pile of flesh and bones. Only the appearance of a human being could be vaguely seen.

Malcolm then took out a test tube. When he opened the cork of the test tube, a figure squeezed out.

The figure was naked, his face distorted, and his eyes were fixed on Baron Buck lying on the ground.

"This must be Lord Simon. Malcolm said he volunteered, but I'm afraid he was forced to do so." Herag thought to himself.

Simon's soul no longer resembled a human being, and it was obvious that he had been tortured.

He took the token to seek help from the wizard, but he didn't expect to encounter such a thing.

"Wizards..." Hellagur had a new understanding of the wizard group.

"Deep Blue, be sure to record every detail. ׺°"˜˜`"°º×"

"Recording..."

Hellagur has always wanted to find a way to embark on the path of a wizard. A ready-made wizard is right in front of him, but he cannot contact him.

He just wanted to be a wizard, not to die. The Malcolm in front of him obviously didn't treat them as human beings.

"The last step..."

Malcolm poured Simon's soul from the test tube into the crystal ball. The soul turned into a liquid form and flowed into the crystal ball, mixing with Baron Buck's blood.

These two mortal enemies in life probably never dreamed that one day their souls and blood would merge together.

After the soul and blood mixed, Malcolm muttered something quickly, and then the crystal ball began to burn, emitting bright red flames.

Malcolm looked at the flames, his face filled with ecstasy. "Perfect! Perfect work of art! This is the perfect Bloodborne."

He glanced around and said, "From now on, Buck's blood relatives within three generations will gradually die. It is a curse that cannot be cured by any medicine. The speed of death is related to the individual's physical fitness."

"Unfortunately, I don't have time to record and observe these data. There are too few ships passing through the Coulson Continent. It will be too late if I delay any longer." Malcolm said with regret.

He snapped his fingers to summon the Thestrals, then climbed onto them and bowed to the people around him. "Thank you all for watching my performance. See you again someday!"

The Thestral spread its wings and flew high, gradually disappearing into the clouds.

"The magic restraint has disappeared."

After Malcolm left, everyone present regained their freedom and the scene fell into chaos again.

Many people screamed and ran out of the castle. Many people fell while running. After falling, they rolled and crawled on the ground, their eyes fixed on the castle gate. They just wanted to get away from here.

On the platform, Baron Buck's two little sons cried and wailed.

Bloody lines appeared all over their bodies. They grabbed their heads tightly, not even noticing that they had scratched their flesh. Their expressions were extremely painful.

"Kurt! Jim!"

Melissa noticed the abnormality of the two brothers and ran over screaming and hugged her two younger brothers.

"Melissa...Sister..." Kurt and Jim suddenly started bleeding from all seven orifices and collapsed powerlessly.

"Ah!" Melissa hugged her two younger brothers in pain and cried sadly.

Immediately afterwards, blood-colored lines began to appear all over the bodies of Baron Buck's sister, little daughter, uncle, and others.

Without exception, they died with blood gushing from all seven orifices.

Melissa collapsed on the ground, watching her relatives fall one after another around her, feeling extremely sad, angry and desperate.

"Melissa!" Emil ran over and hugged Melissa tightly.

Herag followed and found something unusual. There were no bloody lines on Melissa's body until now.

"Emile…I…" Melissa looked at Emil and cried even more sadly.

Her expression suddenly became horrified: "Emile...you..."

"What's wrong?" Emil was a little confused.

Bloody lines slowly appeared on Emil's body, exactly the same as those on Baron Buck's fallen relatives.

"I..." Emil looked at his hands, fear and doubt surging in his heart at the same time.

Hellagur immediately went over to check on Emil. "Why do you have the markings of the Blood Curse? Are you and Baron Buck related within three generations? Miss Melissa has been fine until now, which means she and Baron Buck are not actually related by blood. Instead, it's you, Emil, who are related to Baron Buck."

Emil and Melissa were both confused.

Emil said: "I am an orphan, picked up by Lord Baron Buck..."

At this point he obviously understood that Baron Buck had deceived him and that he was most likely Baron Buck's son.

And Melissa, for some reason, is not Baron Buck's daughter.

"Why is this happening?" Melissa looked at her still fair hands, completely confused.

The answer to all this may only be known by Baron Buck, who has turned into a pile of bones.

Or maybe even he didn't know that Melissa was not actually his biological daughter.

"The aristocratic circle is so chaotic..." Herag sighed speechlessly.

"Cough... cough..." Emil coughed violently, coughing up a lot of blood.

"Emile!" Melissa looked desperate.

When Hellagur saw this scene, he suddenly thought of Nicholas's pocket watch, which contained the holy healing spell that could dispel the curse.

He quickly took out the pocket watch he was wearing and said, "Deep Blue, input your magic power into the pocket watch."

"Entering, 1% has been entered..."

"10% has been entered..."

The pocket watch did not respond.

"23% has been entered..."

The pocket watch still didn't respond, and Hellagur became anxious.

What he was worried about now was that if the magic power in his body was not enough to use the pocket watch, then Emil would be really powerless to save the situation.

"33% has been entered..."

"45% has been entered..."

At this moment, the pocket watch emitted a soft white light, and Emil and Melissa both looked up at the pocket watch in Hellagur's hand.

"This is... that pocket watch..."

A woman's shadow appeared on the pocket watch, with a pair of white wings behind it.

The shadow looked at Emil, slowly opened his mouth, and spit out a beam of white light.

After the white light was spit out, it turned into a white mist, which floated down on Emil and then merged into his body.

The blood-red lines on Emil's body began to fade, and the blood-red color became lighter and lighter, until finally the blood-red lines disappeared completely.

The shadow on the pocket watch also disappeared at this time.
