Chapter 16 - Blood

Baron Buck suppressed the anger on his face. He had no doubt about Emil's words.

Anyone could deceive him except Emile.

"Traitor? Well, I know there have always been traitors in the castle. But... what can he do to me?" Baron Buck stood on the high platform, looking around, his eyes were extremely oppressive, and no one dared to look at him.

The reason he was able to be the lord of Dur Valley for so many years was not because of the number of guards he had, but because of his own strength as a great knight.

A strange sound of horse hooves was heard in the quiet banquet hall. The sound was very similar to the sound of horse hooves, but when you listened carefully, it was not the sound.

A brown-haired man in a black robe appeared at the banquet riding a strange creature. The creature was hairless, had silver-white skin, and had a pair of bat-like wings on its back.

The brown-haired man had a simple and honest face with large freckles. He smiled and said, "I'm sorry I'm late in dealing with the spell materials. My name is Malcolm O'Neill, from Green Lodge."

Malcolm rolled off the creature, patted its head encouragingly, and said, "Good job. Go ahead."

He noticed that everyone around him was looking at him strangely, so he smiled and said, "Oh, most of you probably haven't seen it. It's called the Thestral, a creature that can only be seen by those who have seen death. What do you think? It's cute, right?"

There was complete silence all around, no one spoke, as most people looked at him with fear in their eyes.

Malcolm had just appeared out of nowhere, as if he had emerged from the void on a Thestral.

"Wizard?" Baron Buck asked solemnly, as if facing a formidable enemy.

Malcolm looked at Baron Buck and smiled, "Yes, I am a first-level wizard of Green Hut. However, you probably don't know what Green Hut is, let alone who Malcolm is, so you won't be afraid of me. For example, you can still talk to me, which is great."

"After all, you are just natives of the Carlson Continent. You know, on the map, the Carlson Continent is only as big as my little finger. Oh, and you probably don't even know the name of the land you're standing on. Oh, why am I telling you all this? It's more important to get down to business."

As he spoke, he rubbed two fingers of his left hand together, and a transparent crystal ball appeared on his hand.

"You are Buck Sara, right?" Malcolm asked politely.

Baron Buck remained calm and replied, "It's me."

"Oh, okay." Malcolm nodded and touched his head a little embarrassedly. "I'm sorry. I was asked to kill your entire family. I'm sorry."

As soon as he said this, there was a dead silence at the scene. Malcolm said this so naturally, as if he was talking to an anthill before destroying it.

"How can you please let me and my family go? Whatever Simon gave you, I will give you double!" Baron Buck clenched his fists tightly, and sweat appeared on his forehead.

Malcolm sighed, "There's nothing I can do. You can't give him what he gave me, because he gave me his soul, a soul that was willing to be a slave. A strong person like you wouldn't be willing to be a slave."

"Soul?" Baron Buck wondered if he had heard it wrong.

"That's right, and it's a soul that holds an extreme grudge against you. Such a soul is an excellent material for casting spells, and it's also a good opportunity for me to verify whether my spell model is perfect." Malcolm was excited and spoke about all this with his hands and feet gesticulating.

No one dared to interrupt him, and even the birds in the surrounding mountains and forests stopped singing.

After Malcolm finished his excitement, he looked around and said awkwardly, "Ah, I've talked too much again and wasted time. I'm really sorry. Let's get started, Mr. Buck?"

"I won't sit there and wait for death!" Buck drew out his sword and slashed forward first.

This sword strike was the full-strength effort of a great knight. Herag could not see Baron Buck's movements of drawing and striking the sword with his own eyes.

If he faced this sword, he would not have had time to react even with Deep Blue's warning because the speed was too fast.

However, after Baron Buck rushed out, he remained in the chopping posture and froze in mid-air, even his expression was frozen.

Malcolm shrugged, spread his hands, and the crystal ball floated in front of Baron Buck. He then said, "Barbarians are always so rude and impulsive."

"Although time is running out, I still need to introduce you to my spell. It's called the Blood Curse, and it kills everyone within three generations of the target. This spell requires the target's entire blood, as well as a soul that utterly hates the target. This soul must also willingly sign a soul contract with me. These conditions are essential, and I didn't expect them to be fulfilled so quickly."

"What was it originally called? Oh, right. When Simon came to me with the token, I was kind of thinking of just sending him away. But I didn't expect that he actually had such a deep hatred for you. It was just right for me to complete my magic experiment, so I came here."

"Now, let's get started!"

Malcolm opened his hands and whispered something. The crystal ball spun rapidly, then stopped.

Baron Buck's mouth opened, but in a strange way, as if something was stretching his mouth open.

"Warning! Strong source of magic detected!"

In Hellagur's eyes, the situation was even more terrifying.

Malcolm's body was filled with terrifying magic power, and he was completely wrapped in a huge amount of magic power.

A pillar of magic extended from the crystal ball and inserted directly into Baron Buck's mouth.

Then, all the blood in Baron Buck's body began to rush towards the crystal ball along the pipes made of magic power.

The transparent crystal ball quickly turned red, and Baron Buck's blood continued to flow into the crystal ball.

The crystal ball looks very small, but it seems as if it will never be full, and it can only be filled with as much blood as it receives.

The originally burly Baron Buck soon became skin and bones, and his whole body shrunk several times.

This scene had a strong impact on everyone present.

ah!!

Only then did the crowd begin to scream and run away, and great fear enveloped everyone.

"So naive, we were so naive..."

Herag looked at the scene in front of him and suddenly felt that everything he had experienced before was too ridiculous.

Baron Buck thought that he could escape disaster by marrying the Duke of Tulip, but in the eyes of the wizard, even the king was just an ant.

Who cares what ants think?

"My Lord Baron!" The anger in Emil's heart even overwhelmed his fear, and he drew his sword and was about to rush forward.

Melissa on the platform also wanted to rush out and hug her father, but her legs were weak and she fell to the ground.
