It was a sunny, calm day, perfect for a walk on the beach. Jacob was enjoying his swim in the sea, while Camila decided to take a short break and stroll along the coast to enjoy the view.
At first, everything was fine, with the sound of the waves filling the air. But as Camila walked along the sand, she noticed a group of young men watching her from afar. Though they were far away, she felt her heart race as she became aware of their eyes following her.
One of them approached with a smile and said softly, "Hello, isn't the weather beautiful today?"
Camila, who preferred to avoid interacting with strangers, simply smiled and continued walking, but she felt one of them coming closer. Despite her attempts to distance herself, they didn't give her any space, and one of them raised his voice, saying, "Don't hurry, we just want to get to know you."
Camila felt a chill run through her body, and her eyes darted around, searching for an escape. In a moment of panic, she started to walk faster, but the group kept closing in on her.
Then one of them reached out towards her in an intrusive manner. She screamed loudly, trying to push them away. But the scream wasn't enough to make them retreat. The situation escalated until, in a moment of pure instinct, Jacob appeared from the water, running towards her at full speed. His appearance immediately made the young men stop.
"Stay away from her!" Jacob shouted loudly, his voice filling the air. He quickly approached them, pulling Camila toward him to protect her, while the group backed off. One of them sneered, "Calm down, man, we were just joking."
But Jacob ignored their words. He looked at Camila with concern and asked, "Are you okay?"
She looked at him, her eyes filled with fear, but at the same time, she felt comfort in his presence. She whispered, "I'm fine, but they... they were too close."
Jacob gently took her hand and said firmly, "I won't let anyone come near you like that. You're the most important thing to me, and I won't let this go easily."
After the group finally left, Jacob and Camila sat quietly on the sand. Camila was taking deep breaths, trying to calm her nerves after what had just happened.
Jacob looked at her with concern and asked, "Is everything okay?"
She smiled faintly and shook her head. "Yes, I feel a bit dizzy, but I'm fine."
Jacob moved closer to her, placing his hand gently on her head, then pulled her into a warm embrace. He whispered softly in her ear, "I won't let anyone hurt you, Camila. I'm always here."
Camila stayed silent for a few seconds before relaxing in his arms. After a moment, she lifted her head slightly and said quietly, "I'm grateful for you, Jacob."
He smiled reassuringly and kissed her head gently, whispering, "You're the most important thing to me."
