Chapter 5 - Visited by the Teachers

A few moments earlier, outside Elios' room, one person after another arrived.

They looked at the door, waiting for a moment before knocking.

The central figure asked "Whose room is this?"

"In the records it shows that a new apprentice called 'Elios' was assigned this room." Another replied.

"A new apprentice? Well I expected this, but it's really gratifying for the newly awakened apprentice to be from the latest batch!

Do we have any other records?"

The third person replied this time "Indeed, when he was tested, we found Five-Star Natural Meditation Talent, and his Learning Talent was judged to be five to six stars. Should we add further?"

"Well, change his learning talent to seven stars, his rune talent to five stars, and… add Luck to it too, let's say it's three to five stars."

The other two looked at him in surprise "Learning and rune talents are fine, but… luck?"

"Isn't it too early to judge?"

"No, this is the only chance we can do so," the central figure replied "Wizards' Luck is the most difficult to judge.

According to certain criteria, it is best to give a person a luck score the moment we suspect they possess it.

After all, wizards are extremely secretive, so even if they are really lucky, they won't reveal it!

Anyways, having a luck score just means there will be a little more investment if he enters risky work fields, if he just stays in the tower to learn and advance, there won't be much."

The three people's discussion was quick and completed through telepathy, so in fact, only a few seconds passed.

Just a moment later, when they felt that the magic power truly increased, they knocked. Previously, it was the Tower Spirit that told them of the small change, signs that the first rune would be completed.

On the other side, Elios, who was just about to feel the power of the rune, heard the knock.

He stood up and walked towards the door – although he was in the meditation room, he still heard the knock. This wasn't a real knock but a spell called Knocking, it was just a casual spell you could do as long as you knew the runes, there was no need to engrave such a spell.

When he arrived in front of the door that led outside, he adjusted his clothes for a moment, before opening it.

When he saw the three outside, he was surprised but quickly reacted and bowed "Greetings to the Senior Teacher Yelio and Intermediate Teachers Hux and Vux!"

The wizards in towers were all called teachers – first ring were Junior teacher, second ring were Intermediate Teacher, and third ring were Senior Teacher.

Yelio was one of the three third-rank Arcane Warlocks, even being the one with the highest chances of success. Hux and Vux were twins, brother and sister, extremely talented wizards who had reached the second rank in just ten years after becoming a first ring wizard.

"Well, greetings little Elios. You can stand up!" Yelio nodded to him.

Seeing them wait, Elios stepped to the side and said "Please, enter!"

The three smiled and stepped into the student's home.

Fortunately, Elios had to habit of cleaning up the living room, only his study was chaotic.

He followed them in and after being told to sit, he sat opposite the two.

Although wizards aren't mortals, stemming from humans, they have always followed noble etiquette.

After all, no matter how they learn or advance, in the end, they are still social beings who have to connect with each other – especially for research purposes.

"We just want to ask you a few things, no need to be nervous!" one of the twins, the brother Hux, said.

Elios nodded, slightly nervous, fearing they would ask too much. He thought everything was save, but maybe he shouldn't have revealed his ability so early…

"Which Rune did you form? Is it one of the meditation runes? Did you feel any issue or difficulty?" Vux asked, having already taken out a few papers and a pen.

Elios calmed down 'This is probably a routine inspection…' he thought, before answering.

"I formed the [Magia] (Magic) rune circle of the Trinity Balance Meditation Rune. There wasn't any difficulty… today I made a small mistake, which took a larger toll on my mental power, but I had saved up enough mental power, so there was no issue."

"Good, it's the magic rune. Why did you choose it? Which rune will you form next?" Hux asked while Vux was writing it down.

"I chose it so I can practice spells first… I will most likely form the [Anima] (Soul) rune next, and finally the [Corpus] (Body), because I haven't properly trained my body, and a sudden increase in strength might take me longer to adjust."

"Good answer!" Yelio was the one to say it, then he asked another thing "What do you plan to do in the future? Do you wish to become a Creator, Researcher or Warlock?"

Their questions were mainly superficial and knowledge they wouldn't benefit from – if they asked more in depth, they would go against Wizard Alliance Laws, so Elios didn't feel any pressure.

In the end, this lineage was still new and they were all in a trial state – it was normal for them to ask various things.

The three paths he described were the three general paths of the wizarding world – their weren't exclusive, but one's focus couldn't be split, so generally, one was good in one thing and dabbled in the other two fields.

Creators were wizards who created or crafted things. The representative of this are Alchemists who create artificial items and Potion Masters who create potions.

One of the most renown Alchemist faction is the Mechanical faction, which fully transforms their body into mechanical life. The strongest Potion Master faction is the Poison faction, which creates and uses poison.

The creator faction has been the cornerstone of the initial phase of the wizarding world, although younger than the Warlock faction, it is still rooted in the ancient system. With the rise of mechanics, they have gained importance in the new age.
