He wants to know where I am." Said Aurora.
"Then tell him." Slade suggested.
She nodded and started typing, "At Stainless Restaurant."
Liam: I'll be there in a while. This better not be a joke.
"He said he's coming. But he can't see us together." Aurora said placing the phone on the table and looking up at Slade.
"He won't see us together."
"Are you leaving?" Aurora asked and he shook his head.
Slade placed a call across to Nicholas was waiting in his car. In less than three minutes, Nicholas was with them.
Slade beacined for him to move closer. Nicholas leaned down, just enough for Slade to whisper into his ear.
He tuned to Slade, bowed slightly before leaving. When he returned, Slade said to Aurora, "you should go with him."
"What about you?"
"Don't worry about me."
Aurora walked to a seat arranged for her. Nicholas pulled out a chair and Aurura sat. She sat facing the entrance.
"Madam would you like for any wine to be served?" He asked politely.
"Nothing for now." A man dressed in all white with a chef cap on his head walked towards them. He stopped in front of their table.
"This is chef Kim he'll give whatever you want." Aurora nodded knowing fully well that she may not be ordering anything since she has already eaten.
"Tap on this button when you need me and I'll be right by your side ma'am." Chef Kim said.
"Thank you."
"No, the pleasure is mine. It's an honour to serve you."
"Huh?" Aurora's eyes moved to Nicholas, wondering if chef Kim knew about her relationship with his boss.
"I know you are a very important friend of Mr. Wellington. Serving you equals to serving him." Chef Kim said and Aurora finally relaxed.
As Liam drove to the restaurant, all he could think was that he was making a big mistake. There was no way Aurora would be there.
She was already acting strangely, what if this is just a plot to waste his time?
There was only one way for him to find out. With that thought, he pressed on the accelerator.
Fifteen minutes later, Liam stepped into the restaurant still in his drenched suit. There was no freaking way Aurora could be here.
His eyes moved around the place, combing through the people eating in search of Aurora.
He smirked, about to place a call to her when his eyes landed on a familiar figure staring straight at her. He furrowed his brows when he saw her.
Aurora was here!
Aurora raised her hand when their eyes met and waved at him, keeping a polite smile on her lips.
Liam walked forward, suddenly cautious of his drenched suit he wore. His eyes moved around, desperately hoping that no one recognised him here.
"What are you doing here?" He asked when he got close. "There's no way you are you?" He squinted as he asked unable to his his curiousity.
"Did you come here to meet someone, is that why youbahvd been ignoring my calls?" He asked raising his voice a bit higher than it should be.
Aurora placed one hand on the other and sat straight radiatong calm, "I came here alone." She said.
Liam let's out a mocking laugh, now, his outbuese was gaining some attention.
"There is no way you came here alone." He pointed around, "can't you see the type of people here?" He sneered, "you class isn't here. This restaurant isn't a place just anyone can afford." He declarwd still standing.
He didn't want her here, because Jenny had mentioned that she would not be pleased if he takes her somewhere this expensive. Hence, he wasn't going to allow Aurora try to make him spend for her.
He moved closer to her and leaned down a bit, "Did you call me here to embarrass me?" mummering filled the hall.
Aurora scrunched her nose and moved her body back, she didn't want droplet of his stope all over face.
But to Liam, it gave off the idea that he stinks.
He moved back, fisting his palm. He has to remind himself that the lady before him was his fiance, but there was absolutely no way he'd just let this type of embarrassment go.
"Why would I being you here to embarrass you. Please seat, you are causing a scene. Didn't you come here to speak?" Aurora asked looking around.
"That is what I want to know." Liam said, "we both know you can't afford anything here."
Ordinarily, she would not have cared about causing a scene, but knowing that Slade was still seated in the restaurant, made her a bit conscious. She didn't want to do anything that may end up rubbing him the wrong way, now or in the future.
Her eyes met with his expressionless ones before returning back to Liam.
Slade on the other hand was curious to know how she would handle this. But that didn't mean he'd allow Liam to embarrass her. She as afterall his wife.
Slade beaconed on Nicholas now standing close to him and whispered into his ear. Nicholas nodded and then bowed before walking off.
"That doesn't mean I don't have friends who can." Aurura said, "I was invited by a friend," Aurora had to come up with something.
"What friend?" Liam challenged, he had known her for over five years and in those years Jenny has been her only friend. "my friend left. Don't worry about paying, just seat."
Liam smirked and crossed his hand over his chest.
"Fine, since you want to keep this up, if you are able to afford the least expensive food here, I'll kneel and kiss your shoes."
Most people were now so invested in the drama.
"Liam, you do-"
"Aurora, save yourself the embarrassment and come with me." If she stopped her madness now, he'd leave quietly with her and scold her somewhere more quiet. But to his surprise, Aurora didn't move.
Instead, she looked him straight in the eyes and said in a commanding voice, "seat!"
